Kane moved swiftly and stood between her and the door. "Where do you think you are going? Has your master asked you to leave? You didn't even ask if you can leave or not. Is that how your manners are, scum?" he asked with vitriol and joy at the same time – it was confusing.
"Kane!"
That was the first time Jaden had spoken since Zuri came into his chambers. The way he had vociferated Kane's name shook the atmosphere in his chambers and even Kane froze and looked back at his brother.
"Leave her be, I warn you. Don't test me, Kane. You have done enough."
"But-"
Kane stopped mid statement when he saw Jaden's forehead contort and his fangs elongating right before him.
"You want to attack me because of this human?"
