Almost Caught
Cecil squealed where she was and her mouth was covered by Briana's hand immediately. Their gazes were on the men who patrolled the compound and was close to where they were. In as much as they ere elated and excited upon hearing Eliza's scream, they were still in danger of being caught. They both knew if they were caught, it would lead to instant death or being surrendered to the matron of the palace – who would in turn take them to the queen which would be disastrous for them.
But Cecil could not contain her excitement. She tuned to look at Briana; "Lets leave here now!" she said with a broad smile on her face, trembling with excitement.
As she stood up from her crouched position to run away, she heard a voice from behind her.
"You!" the voice yelled. "Stop there this instant!"
