Why Do You Care?

"Yes, young miss." Nihal bowed and got into the car. He started the car engine, took a reverse, and drove off onto the road.

Amidst the ride, Leia sat in the car, confused and resenting herself. What was she even doing? Why was she still bonded to him? She wasn't supposed to. She has a mate and is bonded to him too. It wasn't possible to have a bond with two people. Was it the promise he made to the man in her past life? Was that why?

For the first time in her whole life, she suddenly realized just how messed up her life truly was. What was she to do? What would she tell Valerio? That she was unable to break free from the man she loved in her past life?
