When Ella had earlier asked Paul to get two rooms ready for two important guests, he had no idea that she was expecting two enemies.
In Paul's alarmed mind, he thought that Ella and her mother were still at war with each other over her marriage to Leon. He had no idea that they had settled their difference.
"Ma'am, please pardon me for speaking out of terms. Don't you think it's a bad idea to entertain your mother and mother-in-law? Those two are going to stress you. If anything happens to you or the babies, the boss is going to have my head this time."
"My sweet and caring Paul," Ella chuckled at his words and his worried expression. "You don't have to worry about anything. I have this under control. Just make sure you do everything I instruct without questioning or infuriating me. Now, go and attend to my mother-in-law. If she asks of my whereabouts, simply tell her I'm seated here."
"Okay, ma'am..." Paul hesitated before leaving to do Ella's bidding.
