Not the Epilogue.......

That fall ended with a tragic....

Shimmering columns of fire and lights sprouted every time a catastrophe was brought down, the mutant disasters' horrifying screams filled the place together with battles, different spells were flying here and there, and the stench from the polluted mana mixed with the metallic smell of blood. It was pure chaos.....

But nothing of that mattered to her....She looked into his eyes. His cute eyes. His merciless eyes, her most favorite eyes....

Her thoughts were clear and arranged. She knows what she has to do....

The stage was ready........

Pushing his chest, she took a step away from him....

"Tell me one thing. Was all that proclaimed love true or you it was just a show to cover your mission?"

"I…"

"Did you come near me because you thought we were the witches who did it?, or to get a pass to the festival?"

He stopped there frozen. He didn't answer, he couldn't tell her because it was half the truth, and he can't tell her the other half.

Her face was blank. Not even a rebel of magical powers emitted.

'yes, that's right. You were that kind of person.... till the end, you still hide.'

"I wish I never saw you, you sick coward."

Today should have been a happy day. It should have been the signal to the new, refresh start she sought......

But that fall ended with a humorless tragedy, and she was the main puppet….

*************

One month later....

"Saprina Enokuthm Wolvered Moonday, with all the testimonies, analyzed mana flow, memory conjunction magic, and the fact that was the only person there when this misfortunate accident happened, you are the only suspect

"could there have been another truth we are not aware of?"

"Ah, but I do have one?"

mummers spread through the vast hall, but she didn't care, although the special blee made her shake for a bit...

Turning her eyes to the side, her grandparents were sitting in the first row. They looked exhausted and tired. Sadness filled their eyes as they watched her, even though, her grandfather clinched his wife's hand and nodded his head, she knew very well if she wanted, he would put it on his live and used his position to take her out of here -probably that's what the judges were hoping would happen- but her grandparents respected her choice....

'I am no longer the sheltered princess they raised....'

"Isn't revenge considered a good motivation these days?"

'I will trample on all of you who thought of the Moonday as easy pray....'

"the reason behind your criminal actions was revenge?"

her eyes caught someone. Sitting in its chair, the Devil looked bored as always, resting its head on its hand, it was smirking while watching the boring show..... a boring repeated show.....

'bored? let's see for how long.

"Huh? If hatred was that easy to be expressed, then wouldn't half of the worlds' creatures be already deed?"

"Saprina Moonday, aren't your words in inconsistency?"

"Oh, sorry. Let me correct myself. Revenge was my motivation, but I didn't do it because of it."

looking directly at the bored creature, she smirked at it.....

'I am no longer anyone's puppet.'

"The Devil made me do it...."

Silence filled the hall. It was so suffocating that if a needle would have been thrown, it will jingle loudly....

A loud laugher was heard..... the Devil that laughed until it no-longer could, swept an illusionary tear. humming, it looked first to the hall's ceiling "10% that's quite the sum."

Then, it looked directly at Saprina's emerald eyes, no longer bored and with pure admiration....

"Who dares to say my tower's chief manager is.... a LIAR??"

***********

it wasn't known, but Saprina's choice started a tiny spark that changed lots of  people's tangled fate.......

(please note that this is not the epilogue..... it is the concentrated juice of the three final chapters...YES, I already wrote them.)
