He felt his heart sink. But what else did he expect? A warm welcome from her with her hands wide open? He didn't even know what she was going to threaten him with at this point. What was he expecting!? Someone like her was always going to be ready, especially when it's something as big and insane as this.
But…as his mind wandered around to all the possibilities, they all led to one question. What is it that's worth sacrificing Nefertari for? Was there even such a thing? What could it possibly be that he would have to kill Tari for? The queen was looking at him with such confidence in her face that it was impossible to think that it's a bluff. She wouldn't bluff in such a gable, she is risking her life for this.
"What makes you so sure that I'll play along?" he murmured, she could hear the little gasps in his voice as he started to lose control over his now quivering voice.
