"R-Raise in taxes…" Joon Wo quoted the words that fell on his ears like the fall of thunder. He clenched his fists on the table, closing his eyes as he tried to keep whatever composure was left inside him.
The king was looking back and forth between his son and his queen, waiting for one of them to break the silence.
"As I said," said the Queen. "it's only going to be for a short while till the construction ends, and everything is back to normal." She finished her words at the same time that she set down her chopsticks, turning her head to look at her son. You know that you can never win this. her eyes talked. Joon Wo felt that he was the only one that saw that smirk on her face.
He glanced around the table to see the awkward faces as they didn't have anywhere to look but on them. All except Min Jun, he was looking down at his barely-touched plate, staring into the unknown. Joon Wo shrugged the thought about his brother away.
