/"You're such a geardo./"Â Seriously how can someone actually spend all his money

on gear. Of course I know our job and all but one can't just spend all his money

on gear even as the government does provide enough and I'm not saying you can't

own yours but not literally own it like you're planning a coup.

/"You love me that way,/" Mathew is so unwise and I keep trying to tell him ways

to spend his money, like if he doesn't really have much things to do with it, he

could go sponsor a charity home or something.

/"You know the way you spend that money I wouldn't be surprised when you go

bankrupt,/" and that will totally not be a bad idea, maybe by then he'll realize.

/"I know, but Theo you don't understand, its like I'm addicted to these things,

I can't see them and not buy them./" Mathew defends.

I know that they are different things a person can be addicted to and gears

could be one of them but he gatta stop, its too much, I'm just looking out for

him.

/"I know how it feels to be addicted to something that you can't leave,/"Â With

those words Mathew looks at me with questionable eyes. /"I still remember when I

was so into her, felt like an addiction which it was,/" I mutter under my breath

which I'm sure Mathew heard.

/"Man I'm so sorry I didn't mean to bring it up,/"Â I guess everyone has been

addicted to one thing or the other and I understand Mathew didn't mean to bring

it up but some words and time just make me think straight back to her.

/"I know its okay, now stop that I'm not dying, am I?/" I say chuckling to Mathew

who is looking at me like I'm gonna die.

I'm past that, not anymore.

/"Did you guys hear about the force projection,/" Drew comes in holding a bottle

of coke in his left hand with a lollipop on the other.

/"First of all where did you hear that, I don't think the government will ever

think of extending their own military force beyond their borders and secondly

drew if you don't grow up a bit I'm gonna cry,/" Drew hates it when anyone cries,

he's a soldier but ones he see a person crying he almost cries himself. That's

the thing about him, he is caring, jovial, emotional than anyone I've ever met

and also enthusiastic.

/"You!/" he glares at me dramatically before shoving the lollipop behind his back.

Although I'm in a higher rank than all of them except the captain we still treat

each other as mates, except drew whom everyone treats like the last born.

/"Okay now seriously drew where did you hear that?/" I ask.

/"Well you know.../" Ohh don't you tell me he did it again.

/"You eavesdrop again on the major,/" I cut him off. /"once you're caught manÂ

you're a goner like whewwww thin air and I'll just stand there and watch,/" I

demonstrate making him look at me more childishly.

/"Come on big bro, you can't say you didn't want to know what I heard,/" drew

always calls me his big bro, he says I look act like his elder brother who died

In a car crash, at first I rejected the fact that he called me big bro, but then

I asked him why he called me that and then he told me. Ever since, I never

questioned it and acted like his big brother the more.

/"I don't need you to tell me what and what goes on within these wall, I know

everything,/" I tease him. That's a big lie I don't know everything if anyone is

to know everything within these walls its drew.

/"Okay enough of the chit chat guys. we've just got information that some balca

group have been sited at siestar enterprises, right now there's a hostage

situation, bomb, murder and fraudulent practices going on. The police have been

there and the FBI couldn't seem to secure the situation under control, now they

need our help. We've been chasing these guys for a long time, nows the time to

get their asses./" Captain briefs us.

Balca group is a big terrorist organization that operates ruthlessly in the U.S.

They kill whoever they want, woman, man, child, whoever just to get what they

want and we've been trailing them for a long time now.

/"yeys captain!/" we move to get prepared for the action to come.

Being a soldier, everyday you wonder if you're gonna make it or not, if you're

going to see your loved ones again or if you're gonna be able to talk to your

friends about those chicks you met during patrol, but it a sacrifice that we

make to save our country.

30mins later

/"Alpha team is moving in sir./"

/"Wait for orders captain./"

/"Yes sir./" Captain obeys.

/"This is not a friendly fire captain so whatever it takes to secure those

hostages I need it done./" The major orders.

/"Listen, anything necessary to secure those hostages. Those are the orders/"

captain says.

Orders like this we can never disobey, because they are from the highest

authority and we're soldiers, we protect the life of citizens from extreme harm

but being a soldier doesn't mean not knowing when an order is right or wrong.

/"Captain what's your go?/" The major askz through the comm.

/"Approaching east wall sir./"

/"East wall b located, location of hostages located,/" Captain reports.

/"Approaching terrorist,/"

/"Go, go , go, go, they're here, grab it and lets go!/" One of blaca group member

yells as we approach them firing bullets with them also firing back.

Screams are heard, gun shots as we approach them closer tackling them. Some

dead, some captured and some escaped but we manage to secure the hostages.

/"Captain we have a problem,/" one of our team mates says bringing attention to

his sight.

/"Drop the trigger, you don't want to hurt anyone,/" captain says as one of balca

group members holds a bomb.

/"What makes you so sure uh? We are loyal to our course as you are to yours,/" he

defends.

/"And what cause is that?/" Captain tries to distract him as Luca goes behind him.

/"You know what? The government thinks their helping people, thinks their doing

the right thing but do they know the amount of people that suffer, we don't have

anything to eat, to give to our families, to sleep on and they think they are

helping. But these people, they see our sufferings and choose to help us so why

won't we die for that cause uh?/" Truth be told I look at these people and see

fear, hurt, that has been afflicted on them and when they see someone to help,

of course they go for it.

No one wants to be in pain which makes me question my judgement about them, but

that doesn't give them the right to hurt others because they've seen how pain

could be, so why afflict others with it?

/"That doesn't give you the right to hurt these people and put them in fear, you

said so yourself you've felt how it feels so why inflict them with what you're

feeling? If you really want your voice to be heard this is the wrong way and you

know it,/" I cut as attention turns to me.

/"You think I wanted this? My family suffers everyday, we are poor we can't even

afford water to drink. Do you think I want others to feel this way? But this is

the only way the government will ever listen to us,/" This boy here I'm sure

isn't more that 19 and I look at him and see all the things he had to endure.

/"Well that's no more,/" captain says as Luca tackles him but he struggles with

him and doesn't go as planned, and before we know it,

Boom.

/"Seriously drew I'm helpless in this situation,/" I'm so gonna get him. I've been

asking him to 'please' give me a nice place here to go on an outing to and he

keeps teasing me.

/"Big bro I admire you a lot, you haven't spent up to a week here and you've

gotten yourself a woman, thumbs up,/" he says while putting a hand on my shoulder

and patting me like a small boy.

/"Drew!/" I give him a glare and he immediately retracts his hand. See that's the

thing about drew I can't get mad at him, I hardly get mad at anyone.

/"Fine, fine I'll tell you where to take your girlfriend to on a DATE,/" he says

loudly for everyone to hear.

I'm so going to kill this boy. I don't want anyone to know I'm actually going

out with someone because I've never been with anyone since Bella.

/"You have a girlfriend, here?/" captain says coming out smiling. You see the

reason why I said I wanted to keep it a secret.

/"Theo has a girlfriend? Really?/" Mathew says also. These people are so sick.

We actually don't stay in the same room as we all have our different rooms but

we like hanging out all together in Drew's room which I should have expected to

see them here.

/"Why didn't you tell us? we should have invited her here./" Caleb says

/"You guys are all sick, so she'll be perverted by your eyes, no way and she's

not my girlfriend. Seriously drew I just asked for a place,/" I turn back to Drew

who's already sad thinking I'm mad at him while I'm not.

Though its not that I didn't want them to know, they know everything but I

wanted it to work out first between I and haula before I say anything and she

only agreed to go out with me.

/"I'm proud of you Theo, what's her name?/" captain asks

/"Her name's haula./" Just remembering her name makes me remember how beautiful

she is, the way her hair was well braided and that smile that suits her dark

complexion almost perfectly. Wow.

/"Unique name you gat there, we'd like to see her,/" captain says.

/"In your dreams,/" I say dragging Drew away. We still have an unfinished

discussion.

So here I am at city view waiting for haula to arrive, I already texted her the

address and she says she's on her way. Yes, drew finally give me a nice place

and to be sincere it is really a nice place, the whole country is well although

we are only staying in one city, Abuja.

But its a nice place except from their high criminal rate, apart from that I am

really liking the place.

/"Hey,/" I hear a voice behind me

/"Hey you...came/" I stutter.

What is wrong with me?

She's looking so beautiful wearing that Jean and a sparkling top with a jacket

on it. The jean showing her right curves and the top bringing out her face with

her well braided hair. I've never really paid attention to her figure, but now

that I did, she has one hell of a body.

She's not in the plus size at all but has all the right curves. I know what

you're thinking, that's not what attracted her to me in the first place, it was

her voice and then everything else fell in place.

She's close to perfect.

/"Did you think I wouldn't,/" she speaks bringing out those smile that can bring

any man to his knees.

I'm so whipped!
