Cody and Maria fell apart laughing. The pair engaged in a burping contest to see who might come close to their little brother’s record.
“Hey, everybody, settle down.” Peter tried to be the heavy but both Cody and Maria were able to see right through him. Still, they pretended to be on their best behavior. “No school or work today, we’re having a family day. The five of us are going to spend the whole day out and about doing whatever we want. We need to do this so that everyone understands we’re a unit and will always be that way. Others may want to change it but, it’s a done deal. We’ve all got our rings and there are papers that prove we’re as much a family as anyone.”
