Is this how it was supposed to go?

Isac was already there. He sat in the same place as yesterday. He had come a little early than usual because he finished his work earlier than he had predicted it to be.

It was 9:01 p.m. I guess she's always late. Isac thought to himself. She was late yesterday too.

He saw someone walk beside him. He noticed someone from his right peripheral view. It was a woman,that he could tell. She walked in front of him and stood this time.

He looked up and saw Calista. She looked like herself. No over the top makeup, no fancy dress. She looked simple yet beautiful. But Isac did not consider her beauty to be something extraordinary. She looked like everyone else but maybe a little prettier than few. That's all. She was not someone with an exceptional beauty.

She was dressed in pants contrast to that of yesterday. She wore a blue blouse that was tucked into her high waist pants.

She stared at him for sometime. She didn't know if she was supposed to sit or just stand there looking at his face. Atleast he could ask her to sit or something instead of scanning her.

He finally stopped after a thorough yet quick scan. He gestured his hand towards the space in front of him "Take a seat" he said.

She just nodded in response and sat down across from him.

"Okay let me say this again I'm not Joanna" Calista spoke. She didn't want to waste time by beating around the bush so she cut straight to the point.

Isac nodded his head in response. "Yes I'm aware of that" he spoke calmly. "The reason why I wanted to meet you in person was because I want you to forget what had happened yesterday and today morning" he continued.

Calista was confused.

"I am here to let you know that you don't have to worry about the marriage matter anymore. It was true that I did propose that idea but now that I think about it I am truly not interested in forcing you into this"

Calista was in complete shock.

Was this how it was supposed to go?. She was expecting him to continue insisting on marrying. She had prepared a long speech on why she would reject the offer but here he is saying that he will not insist on that matter.
