Confession

-----Yui's POV

I stayed with Kaede until the matches finished before coming out to join everyone else. However someone else came to greet me who I didn't expect as we walked outside the room.

Marcus: "I'd like a word."

Kaede immediately went on guard at his sudden appearance, but I ease her worries, placing my hand on her shoulder.

Yui: "Sure."

Marcus: "Alone."

Kaede: "Nuh uh. I'm coming as well."

I expected as much. After seeing me like that after my fight with Marcus, I'm sure she has an even bigger grudge against him.

Yui: "Is that okay?"

Marcus: "Fine"

He guided us to the corner of the room away from everyone else. I have a pretty good idea what this'll be about but I've already made up my mind to not hide it anymore. I promise Kaede.

Yui: "So? What is it you'd like to-"

Marcus: "Firstly, congratulations."

Yui: "Oh uhm, yes thank you."

Even though I beat him, he's still got that intimidating presence, making me nervous all over again.

Marcus: "But I would like to know how you did it."

Yui: "Did what?"

Marcus: "Don't try and fool me. I've been training my magic control ever since I was little, I know exactly how much I can output. So then how did you have me use up all my mana? From how much I used on you I could've lasted a couple hours going like that, so how?"

The way he worded his question doesn't leave me many options to lie about it. I mean he's right on the money with that, there's not a chance for me to weasel my way out of this one. I could just say nothing, but then again I did accept to come over here with him so it would just make him more suspicious. "I've really backed myself into a corner now haha."

Kaede: "We're still trying to figure that out."

Marcus: "I wasn't asking you."

Kaede: "And can't you see Yui- I mean Ellen is uncomfortable answering?"

Marcus: "Well I just have my suspicions that she cheated in someway."

Kaede: "Huh?! Cheated? How can you say-"

Yui: "Yes. I did."

It might not entirely be cheating, but this is a tournament to judge people on their fighting prowess in all aspects. Me doing something like that to Marcus was definitely considered cheating, at least in my eyes; taking away his magic, his defense, leaving him defenseless to my rapier. I bow my head to Marcus who had a surprised look on his face, the first time I've seen so much expression on him but not as shocked as Kaede.

Kaede: "No you didn't!"

Marcus: "So you used some kind of rune that can drain someone of their mana?"

I shake my head to his question before raising it back up to look at him once more.

Yui: "The rumors about me unable to use magic is true... However-"

Marcus: "Hmm?"

Yui: "..."

Mai: "She has a hole-"

As I was about to open my mouth to continue, I was cut off by the familiar voice of Mai who had silently appeared next to us.

Marcus: "What?"

Mai: "Humans have vessels that house "Spirits" right?-"

Back in the dorms, Kaede and I made sure to keep the true meaning of magic a secret, telling Mai to go along with what humans believe and not the actual truth.

Mai: "Well, Ellen's vessel is damaged, so her mana leaks out. The spirit inside her needs mana so what happens is her spirit will suck mana from her surroundings. That's what probably happened to you during your fight with her."

Marcus: "And you know all this, how?"

Mai: "I'm Kaede's spirit so I can sense vessels quite easily. Even right now Ellen's vessel is sucking in mana as we speak."

Marcus: "Ah- I've heard about someone in the first year summoning something absurd. So that is you?"

Kaede: "Yes."

Marcus: "So you don't actually have control over it is what I'm getting from this spirit?"

Yui: "...Yes."

I didn't expect to get assistance from Mai, but she set it up in a way that makes it look like I'm not at fault, "Nice one Mai! I owe you one."

Marcus: "Well I can see why you've kept it a secret all this time."

Yui: "Uhm!- Could you keep quiet about this?"

Marcus: "I can't promise that. It's quite a discovery isn't it? Understanding about it more might lead to some new breakthrough, so if the opportunity shows itself I will have to speak up."

Kaede: "Y-you-"

Yui: "Yes, I understand. Until that time comes though, could you keep it a secret?"

Marcus: "Fine. Anyway that's all I wanted to know. I'll take my leave now."

With him gone I finally let out a long exhale, feeling completely drained from being near his presence.

Kaede: "Mai why did you tell him all that?!"

Mai: "He wasn't going to leave without some sort of closure. It's not like I told him the truth though right?"

Kaede: "Still! Now Yui might end up getting into danger because of it."

Mai: "But you're with her right? I doubt she'll be in danger."

Kaede: "Fine! Have it your way."

She moves closer to me, holding onto my hand as we make our way back to the rest of the group.

We all walked out of the stadium together, making our way back to the dorms. I was out for most of the matches so I didn't know how everyone did.

Yui: "So~ How did everyone do?"

Collin/Violet: "We won ours!"

Yui: "That great!"

Luna: "I lost mine. I would be upset about it if not for the fact that you put Marcus into the loser's bracket haha."

Collin: "Ah..."

Violet: "...I don't want to come tomorrow."

The twin's faces instantly shifted from being happy about their win to becoming gloomy, as if death was waiting upon them.

Yui: "Sorry."

Collin: "It's okay, nevermind that. How are you feeling though? You got roughed up pretty badly right?"

Yui: "Ah yeah, I'm okay now."

Violet: "Not going, not going, not going, not going not-"

She began muttering to herself in her gloomy attitude during our walk, like she's in her own little bubble. I don't blame them, going up against someone like Marcus was a terrifying experience. To have to do it again however, I can understand Violet's trauma. Meanwhile Luna was smiling away as she happily enjoyed her loss. I guess that means she can sit with her parents and get to spend more time with them. Not a bad thing I suppose.

Eventually, we arrive back at our dorm rooms. Fabian and Leon weren't with us as they were with their other friends during our walk back. We decided to drop off our things in our rooms since it's right around lunch time and the academy cafeteria is open. But before that, I may as well-

Yui: "Kaede... Did you want to do it here?"

Kaede: "Hmm?"

Setting down my rapier against the bedside drawer, I turn towards her before sitting down at the side of my bed, unbuttoning the button on my shirt to expose more of my neck.

Yui: "You're thirsty right? We usually do it around this time so-"

Kaede: "I'm actually not too thirsty for it right now actually."

For some reason, her denying me like that felt incredibly frustrating. I really must be some weird pervert you enjoys getting their blood sucked...

Kaede: "Yui? What's wrong?"

Yui: "Eh? No it's nothing!"

I quickly go to button up the top button of my shirt when suddenly, my hand was stopped by her, holding it up to the side of my head.

Kaede: "Could it be. You wanted me to do it?"

Yui: "..."

What the hell... Kaede seems so different from how I remember back in our old world. She was assertive when it came to 'those' things, but not stuff like this. Usually I'd be the one to grab hold of her like this, with the roles reversed like this I start to feel quite nervous.

Yui: "Yes..."

Kaede: "Hmmm?~"

Her gaze became all the more unnerving as I avert my eyes. It was then that I could feel my shirt being moved around as I move my head back. My eyes lock onto her hand slowly unbuttoning the rest of my shirt.

Yui: "Wait, Kaede?"

Kaede: "Want me to stop then?"

She pauses upon asking that, leaving my shirt half undone as I begin to feel even more frustrated from being stopped like this.

Yui: "...No."

Kaede: "Then just, relax."

She lets go of my hand as she starts to unbutton my shirt with both hands. I lean back on my arms as I let her do as she pleases, my excitement slowly building with each button being undone, causing my breathing to become a little heavier. My breathing suddenly gets cut off however as I feel her lips press up against mine with the final button been undone. The suddenness of it caused my elbows to buckle as I collapse back onto the bed.

I forget how to breathe for a moment until she parts her lips from mine, allowing me to compose myself. However that wouldn't last long as she proceeded to seal my lips once more with another kiss. My arms wrapping around her with my fingers digging into her uniform as her tongue intertwines with mine. My breathing becoming all the more heavier throughout our kiss.

Time passes as eventually we stripped down to our underwear as things started to heat up. I felt like I was her prey as she toyed with my body as she pleased, sending waves of pleasure all throughout my body. Covering my body with her kisses; teasing my nipples with her fingers and tongue; pressing her fingers up against my clit. I accepted everything she threw at me as she brought me closer and closer. It was then when she slid her fingers inside me that an electric current coursed through my body as I cling onto her, my nails clawing at her back as I cannot hold back my moans any longer.

Mai: "Wow~ Seeing it it in person like this is even more interesting."

Yui/Kaede: "..."

Yui/Kaede: "...EH!?!"
