Seeing her two teammates eager to engage, Sakura quickly drew a kunai from her ninja pouch and held it in front of her, trying to steady herself. Her thoughts were racing. Kakashi-sensei is a Jōnin! How can we possibly defeat him? Shouldn't we be discussing how to grab the bell instead?
Sakura's head throbbed with the chaos of the situation, her two teammates' recklessness adding to her anxiety. But Naruto and Sasuke had a different perspective. For them, defeating Kakashi was the primary goal; the bells were secondary.
The two shared a glance, their silent communication honed over years of camaraderie. Naruto's fingers twitched slightly, and in an instant, dozens of light gates materialized, encircling Kakashi. Naruto had refined his spatial ninjutsu over the years, eliminating the telltale signs that used to give him away. By deploying multiple gates, he created a labyrinthine maze that concealed his true intentions.
Kakashi felt a bead of sweat trickle down his temple. The sheer number of portals was bewildering. He knew Naruto's capabilities, having trained the boy himself, but the complexity and scale of this attack were unexpected. This is going to be trouble, he thought, tensing his muscles in anticipation.
From the sidelines, Sakura stared at the scene, her mind struggling to process what she was witnessing. "You're kidding! This guy is a monster..." she muttered, stunned by Naruto's display of power.
Naruto grinned and formed a seal. "Multiple Shadow Clone Technique!" In a flash, the training ground was flooded with hundreds of Naruto clones. Kakashi's eyes widened in disbelief. How much chakra does this kid have?
The clones moved in unison, advancing toward Kakashi and reducing his maneuvering space. He knew he couldn't take them lightly; each clone was a potential threat. Kakashi steeled himself, kunai at the ready, and darted into the sea of yellow-haired assailants. He struck with precision, each blow dispelling a clone, but the sheer volume of them made it a daunting task.
As the real Naruto observed from the safety of a distant portal, Sasuke made his move. He launched a large fireball, catching Kakashi off guard. The clones closest to the attack swarmed Kakashi, attempting to immobilize him.
A smirk played on Kakashi's lips. He substituted himself with a log just as the fireball hit, leaving behind a smoldering piece of wood. But Naruto and Sasuke were not deterred. They were relentless, using every trick and technique they knew to corner their teacher.
"Earth Style: Headhunter Jutsu!" Kakashi's voice called out, and suddenly, Sasuke felt himself being pulled into the ground. But before the earth could swallow him, a portal opened beneath him, and he slipped through, reappearing safely a few meters away.
Kakashi cursed under his breath. Naruto's space-time jutsu was proving to be a real challenge. He had to deal with these two quickly. His eyes darted to Sakura, who was still standing by, wide-eyed and unsure. She's the weakest link, he thought. If I can take her out, it'll destabilize their formation.
Kakashi vanished and reappeared before Sakura, catching her off guard. "Enter the light door!" Naruto's voice echoed just as Kakashi activated a Genjutsu, ensnaring Sakura in a nightmarish illusion. Sasuke, seeing his teammate in danger, threw a volley of shuriken through a portal, but Kakashi deftly dodged them, his Sharingan spinning rapidly.
"Why do you have a Sharingan?" Sasuke demanded, shock and anger mixing in his voice.
Kakashi's expression softened for a moment. "It's a gift from a friend," he replied, his tone tinged with nostalgia. But the moment was fleeting. He had to focus.
Naruto reappeared from a portal, lunging at Kakashi. The Jōnin used the Teleportation Technique to evade, but Naruto anticipated this and immediately emerged from another portal, catching Kakashi off guard. With a powerful punch, Naruto aimed for Kakashi's abdomen.
Kakashi barely managed to block with his arm, a sharp crack echoing as he did. Pain shot through him, and he realized with dismay that his right arm was now useless. What kind of monster is this kid? Kakashi thought, collapsing to his knees, clutching his injured arm.
Naruto hesitated, looking down at his mentor with concern. "Um... Kakashi-sensei, are you okay?" he asked, his earlier confidence giving way to worry. Kakashi looked up, a pained smile on his face, and nodded slightly, acknowledging the strength of his students. They had surpassed his expectations in every way.
