Chapter 135 Little Help
Previously Stephen had absorbed Barry Allen's speed force energy which cause Barry to lost his speed, Later Reverse Flash helped him recover his speed. After getting his speed back, The speed force energy in his cells became more active and powerful, greatly improving his speed compared to before. As he ran faster and faster, Stephen followed Barry Allen closely to observe his travels.
Whoosh!
Stephen carefully observed Barry Allen's movements as he sprinted. Barry quickly noticed Stephen tailing him. Though a bit surprised, Barry didn't stop but continued to accelerate. As he ran, he noticed the scenery around him becoming surreal, with countless flashing images surrounding him. This bewildered Barry Allen.
Suddenly, a bright light appeared ahead. Was it an exit, like a bright heaven's door?
Out of nowhere, a hand grabbed his shoulder, startling Barry Allen just as he was about to speed up and escape. Before he could identify his captor, he was whisked back to where he had started.
Boom!
Barry Allen fell heavily to the ground, turning his head to see wave howling and the tsunami threatening Central City. "Why? If I can't stop the tsunami, Central City will..." He was saying before Stephen intervened.
Before he could finish, Stephen turned and headed to the shore. He confronted the tsunami, who was came toward with the intention of engulfing everything. Stephen emitted a powerful aura of ice, causing the ground beneath his feet to freeze, and the tumultuous sea froze instantly, spreading rapidly.
Huh!
In the blink of an eye, the surrounding sea turned into ice, visible to all.
Click, click!
The cold air spread, freezing the sea wherever it touched. In no time, a tsunami tens of meters high was frozen into an ice wall. It looked as if the world had entered an ice age.
Barry Allen was dumbfounded, gazing at the scene in awe. He didn't even hear Cisco and Caitlin's eager inquiries in his ears.
"Aren't you going to save people?" Stephen turned back and said to the bewildered Barry before leaving with Black Siren.
Barry Allen snapped back to his senses and quickly found Joe West and Mark Mardon, who had been kidnapped. Mark Mardon's plans were thwarted, but Barry Allen didn't give him a chance to react.
With the people rescued and the criminals apprehended, the disaster that could have destroyed Central City was averted. However, the massive ice wall from the frozen tsunami didn't melt quickly, becoming a novel attraction that drew many onlookers. It took about nearly a two week for the ice wall to return to normal, thanks to the efforts of weather and cutting-edge star labs.
Stephen and Black Siren left the shore, and Stephen picked up a few beverage bottles, transforming them into gold with his atomic abilities, and handed them to Black Siren.
"This is the Ability of Death Storm? It's amazing," exclaimed Black Siren.
"It's called Firestorm here. I already have this Ability," Stephen said casually. "These are enough for your usual expenses. Do whatever you like in Central City."
The Black Siren nodded, eager to explore this brand new world, the brand new Central City.
After parting ways with Black Siren, Stephen returned to the villa. Inside, Laurie was teaching Thea how to 'exercise'. Without disturbing them, Stephen headed directly to the Disciple to study nano-shrinking technology. With the equation provided by Harrison Wells, the materials weren't too complicated or precious, making it relatively easy to experiment. Stephen completed the process quickly and successfully reduced the object.
"The equation is right!"
"I can install it on the Disciple first." However, this was a significant project, given the Disciple's large size and unique materials. Even with his superpower, it would take some time. Stephen didn't have the patience to repeat the process, so he decided to find someone to handle it.
Preferably someone skilled and efficient, but there were other tasks to take care of before that.
"You're going out so late?" Thea couldn't help but ask as she noticed Stephen's movements in the villa. Stephen didn't reply but vanished.
At Caitlin Snow's house...
Caitlin Snow, dressed in her pajamas after a shower, was relaxing on the sofa watching TV when suddenly, a flash of lightning illuminated the room. She was taken aback by the familiar environment that appeared before her. "Is this... the Disciple?"
"Help me study a formula," Stephen requested.
"Huh?" Caitlin Snow stood up, puzzled. "What formula?"
Stephen displayed the Velocity serum formula on the console screen. Caitlin looked at it curiously and was surprised: "This is the speed-up formula? Where did you get it?"
"This formula accelerates someone's speed but it also accelerate the aging of ordinary people's cells, and prolonged use might lead to permanent loss of speed or even death. I want you to upgrade this formula to eliminate the side effects," Stephen explained straightforwardly.
"But, I'm not sure I can do it."
"I'll give you time, but it won't be too long." Stephen knew from the original plot that Caitlin Snow improved the serum formula, upgrading it to Velocity 9. Although there were still some defects, he believed she would eventually solve them. If she could do it in the future, she could do it now with a little external assistance and focus.
"But I..."
Caitlin was about to argue when she suddenly felt an additional voice in her mind, a voice that could manipulate her.
"You know what I can do, and you know what I will do," Stephen's voice echoed in her mind, but she realized he wasn't speaking at all. This situation made her panic, and she tried to speak, but the words that came out were not what she intended to say.
"I will do it."
"You..." Caitlin widened her eyes, feeling like she was back to normal.
Stephen shrugged. "Controlling the conversation between you and yourself is a bit to not my liking. Hurry up, you can tell me what you need!"
