CHAPTER 1: HONEYMOON

The sound of the car sneering could be heard from a distance "woahhh..." a female voice yelled from inside the car that continued to drive fast on the road " are you trying to kill us slow down" she turned to face the man driving.

"I don't think you should be afraid,you tried to kill me once , remember?"he smiled he looked at her from the side heard her say "when was that...when did I try to kill you?" there was an oblivious expression on her face as she said that " do you need me to remind you?" he smirked at her.

"no need I just need you to reduce the speed you'll definitely kill us both before we get to our destination,not to fast not to slow" she used her hands to emphasize her point. The person driving eventually slow down and she smiled before reaching into her bag and pulling out her phone to see a few text messages from her childhood friend,a smile crept on her face while she read the text.

Maya: hey girl just texting to check on you

Maya:how's your day going,make sure to bring back souvenirs and stories to".

Isabella imagined her friend's expression and she smiled and continued to read

Maya: don't forget to reply to my texts

Maya: have you gotten to your destination?.

At the last text Isabella's eye rolled, Maya knew this trip was going to be long considering the step they took. This was supposed to be a honeymoon not a road trip,she still wondered why Lucas decided they took the car rather than the jet,they would get to their destination quicker and with them taking the road,it was going to take three days before they reached where they are going.

She frowned on thinking about it,but Lucas must have a reason for it even though he hadn't told her yet,she had a feeling she was going to enjoy this and with that in mind she smiled and looked at Lucas who turned to look at her "was that Maya?" he questioned knowing she had been smiling at her phone

"hmm , she's still going to send more" Isabella smiled placing her phone aside and she added "I'll answer her later but first remind me why are we taking the road?" she questioned even though at the back of her mind ,she knew he won't answer her. But the Isabella decided to test her luck "I don't think it's that important" came Lucas's reply as he smiled.

"that's not fair" she pouted looking away from him and staring outside the window. She didn't know when but the car abruptly stopped and Isabella immediately turned to face Lucas when the latter came close to her and trapped her lips,his left hand moved to hold her cheek. Isabella immediately responded to the kiss with the same affection.

He opened her lips and pushed his tongue inside intensifying the kiss.

He left Isabella panting for air,his lips lightly brushing against hers with Isabella gripping on his shirt,all the anger she felt was thrown out of the car's window.

Lucas stared at her lips before it went up to meet her gaze he said "feeling better?",a devilish smirk came to settle on his lips and Isabella blushed looking away from him as if go hide her flushed face but couldn't.

Lucas gave her kiss on the cheek and he settled on his seat . Isabella wasn't initially angry with him or maybe she slightly was because he refused to tell her anything but Lucas just had to stir up her emotions and she had a strong feeling that there was more coming .

The engine to the car roared and they continued their journey on the road. On the way the couples had their fingers intertwined.

Soon they stopped in front of a hotel,and both Lucas and Isabella stepped out of the car. Lucas had already prepared and booked the hotel room in advance.The location they were in was another place to explore and Isabella planned on checking it out later on. Soon they arrived at the room , Isabella turned to look at Lucas on seeing the size of the room. I was vast with a mini living room at the left side and a tea table in between.

"I feel like this is a waste since we are spending just a day here" Isabella pouted and she felt him hug her from behind and he kissed the nape of her neck.

"it's worth it " Lucas simply said and he traced his fingers on her waist while kisses her on the neck

"Lucas?" she moaned out his name whole she closed her eyes and he hummed in response.

Isabella opened her mouth to speak "i- I'm going to shower".

Lucas raised his brows and replied "why,I think you smell perfect" at the same time he rested his chin on her shoulder.

Later when it was night time,after the couple decided to take a walk while exploring the place. There hands intertwined as they walked.. Isabella smiled , never had she imagined being this happy with Lucas by her side. They were now married and now on their honeymoon.

Things weren't like this at the beginning but it only became better with time
