ch 12

At the end of the ceremony all eyes were focused on me and the lamia who coiled herself around me were stunned with a few exceptions such as the hydras and lady Esther who was waiting for the power to fade from the ritual circle I sitting in because I figured out what she was after I had the lamia uncoil herself from me and began collecting all her egg shell fragments seeing lady Esther's and my actions the grand elder got annoyed.

Grand Elder:"Will the two of you stop it! Its just shell fragments!"

Lady Esther:"I need samples" as if stating the obvious

Me:"It came from my hydra and is therefore mine" asserting ownership

Grand Elder:"Why is it the talented ones are insane"

Me:"Because the other side of genius is madness"

Lady Esther:"I concur"

Grand Elder:"Will you two shut up" she points at me "You follow me"

I of course make sure to have gathered all the shell fragments and requesting a bag before following along if lady Esther wants a sample from me it will not be for free. We arrive at what appears to be her office elegant but imposing she didn't bother to to try intimidation as she didn't think it would work so she is direct.

Grand Elder:"What happened back there?"

Me:"I don't know adjusted my aura..."

Grand Elder:"what do you mean by adjusted your aura?"

Lady Esther:"Yes please elaborate"

Grand Elder:"And what are you doing here?" finally noticing lady Esther

Lady Esther:"I said I would be here for research purposes and because I need samples"

Grand Elder:"I don't even care anymore" looking back to me "Aura what did you mean?"

I then proceeded to provide them with my experience leaving out most of my instinctual understanding and desire during the whole time my lamia was wrapped around me. I wanted to complain but I received a lot of benefits and had yet to contribute also I don't want to be tranquiled as long as it was just information about something I didn't fully understand I considered it a win.

Lady Esther:"This has been enlightening now about my samples..."

Me:"You have yet to give me a offer"

Grand Elder:"I don't care please take this conversation elsewhere"

Me:"Can't if I leave what is to stop lady Esther from simply taking it from me I need you to act as a witness to prevent theft of course you wouldn't be working for free I'll provide suitable compensation after my business with lady Esther is concluded"

This statement caused her to raise an eyebrow in doubt but she said nothing after about two and half hours of debate over prices I only traded egg shells and a small amount of my blood for access to research pertaining to me and spiritual essence from a greater spirit that was destroyed by the church Theia after that lady Esther and I part ways and I need settle my dept with the grand elder.

Grand Elder:"So how are you planning to pay?" with amusement in her voice

Me:"By giving you what you're jealous of"

Grand Elder:"What do you mean?" amusement replaced with a hard edge

Me:"But you have to allow me your power exceeds my own and if you don't believe me ask lord Eric Meghan and Carol" with that she cools down a little

Grand Elder:"Okay if you can fix my problem not only will we be even I'll be your backer in this family"

I know she just wants to use me in the future but if Albert is any indication its better to have a good relationship with her than deal with the rest of the family that might hate me on my own as I also saw some elders who don't like me but hid it better than Albert meaning I need to create my own faction within the family or join one for now.

Even though she agreed to allow me to modify her body it felt like I was shapping stone making the process take even longer the only reason I know why is because with spirit half I knew it was easier manipulate a person under my control allowing me to bypass their bodies natural resistance to outside interference secondly if someone is more the power can block or resist my own even unconsciously if the difference is great enough this caused the process to last hours and I couldn't borrow her power because it was part of her and would hinder me.

Me:"Your at least a C-cup can we stop now!" I can't believe I thought that this would easy my whole body feels exhausted even my spirit

Grand Elder:"Alright I know you are tired so we can stop I'll see if like them like this if not in the future you will fix them" Now she seems proud of her new chest

I'm supposed to be the bad guy why am I suffering so much I'm not a masochist I need to find victims in the future in order to vent this someone who doesn't enjoy suffering otherwise it won't be fun maybe Albert will show his face and try to cause trouble with me so I can use some bullshit justification for my actions or at the very least someone alone where there are no cameras that happens to cross my sociopath if I'm really hard up I'll try to find a spy among the the staff nobility with this much influence definitely has enemies this place can't be victim free can it? I hope not!
