Roku (Part 1)

"How did I do?" Iskandor asks the ladies as they exit a room, now wearing the armor Iskandor made with the help of Smith and Tayler.

"Fits better than anything I've worn!" Serena exclaims.

"Practical yet very pleasing to the eye." Hikari states.

"Perfect balance of mild intimidation, functionality, aesthetics, but also gives a small sense of awe." Lar says.

"Glad you like it, I'm a little shocked by some of the weapon choices but together we have range, melee and magic." Iskandor says. "Let's move out, Hikari, where is your brother being held?"

"Northeast I believe. It's still a little fuzzy though... But it shouldn't be too far." She answers, she also provides the description of her brother, Roku.

Iskandor brings down his sword, slashing a large wolf in the back, while shooting his crossbow in his offhand, hitting another wolf. Lar finished off the latter while Hikari slashes the former and throws a knife at another that Serena promptly finishes off.

"I told you we would be fine." Iskandor states.

"Should be around here, I think there should be a cave on the other side of this hill." Hikari explains.

"Time to rid the world of some idiots." Iskandor says, smiling.

"Now you look menacing..." Serena tells him.

"Hey, I'm getting rid of those who dare attack the brother of Hikari! I'll defend those who are close to me and all they care for to the best of my ability." Iskandor replies.

"And it seems that also means going on the offensive as needed." Lar continues.

"Here's the enterence." Hikari whispers.

"Alright, Lar, you take cover behind those trees so you have a clear visual of the cave. Serena, carefully look for any other enterance and block them off. Hikari, the two of us are going in with stealth." Iskandor command gently.

"Lar, if I'm not back in 15 minutes make the call of a blue robin." Serena says.

"If I hear that we'll retreat and regroup. We will look for Serena and if we're lucky she was either running late or got caught and was put in the same cell or a cell adjacent to Roku's." Iskandor says, starting to move ahead. Iskandor peeks into the cave from above, theres a few crates near the enterance but otherwise seems empty from sight alone. Deep in the cave however he hears a quite conversation, he can barely make it out but he softly relays what he hears in the best impression of the voices he can.

"So, you won't join our cause, eh? What if we find this sister of yours and break her infront of you, would you join us then?" A man says in a thin and spindly voice filled with arrogance. Clearly made by a tall male elf or someone with similar features.

"NO! LEAVE HIKARI OUT OF THIS! I WILL NEVER JOIN YOU AND YOU WOULDN'T EVEN FIND HER! SO FUCK OFF AND LET ME GO! OR DO YOU WANT MY TO FIGHT MY WAY OUT!" screams a voice that could only belong to Roku. Following that scream is a hard punch followed by the sound of Roku getting hit in the crotch hard.

"You will join us, willing or not, living or not. For you see, we have not only excellent torturers but also several necromancers. I care not how you serve us or in what state you serve us. However someone as prestigious as you would be better for our patron alive and willing." The elf explains.

"NEV-" Roku starts but seems to be gagged.

"We got to help him, what's the plan?" Hikari asks quietly.

"We sneak in, kill as few as possible, release the prisoners any any beasts they may have and take the elf as a hostage while escaping with your brother." Iskandor explains.

"A classic maneuver then. Chaos and flee..." Hikari smirks deviously.

The duo sneak into the cave, and whilst passing the crates take a glance inside.

"Mana crystals? What do they need these for?" Iskandor whispers his question to Hikari whilst taking a small handful for himself.

"I feel I should know the answer to that, but I don't." She whispers in reply.

They continue down the cave and come across a guard sleeping on duty. Iskandor silently takes the keys and ties his ankles together before moving on. After sneaking past some more guards they find the cell Roku is in, unfortunately it is occupied by more than just Roku and the elf.

Iskandor faintly hears the call of the blue robin, suprised 15 minutes has passed.

"Now let's see here, an intruder going after Roku, you don't appear to be a kitsune. Perhaps a lover?" The elf teases to the amusement to the half a dozen guards in the cell. "Strange weapons, strange clothes, could you perhaps be a Chosen?"

At this point Hikari is about to lunge forward but Iskandor stops her.

"What do you mean Chosen?" Serena asks, keeping everyone's attention away from Iskandor and Hikari.

Iskandor makes hand signal's and tells Hikari to go open the cells, starting at the furthest to start the distraction while he listens to the conversation. Hikari reluctantly agrees and does so.

"Someone from this world but not, someone that doesn't belong, someone who is likely here to bring order to the chaos we are about to create." the elf explains like a cliche stupid villain.

"Creating chaos, seems like such a simple plan with no real reward, anyone could create chaos." Serena says, in an attempt of reverse interrogation.

"Sure, anyone could create chaos, but that's controlled chaos, what we strive to create is true chaos, where the cause and effect don't matter, things only happen because they can. Only that can please and strengthen our patron!" the elf monologues.

"Thanks for telling me you evil plans, now I think it's time I go." Serena says, pulling her hands free from the rope that previously tied them together.

"Attack her!" the elf screams.

"Ahhh!!!" in the distance they could hear the screams of the other cultists.

Half the guards run towards the screams and the others stay behind to attack Serena, unfortunately for them they flinched, giving Serena the opportunity to grab her swords.

"Now, let's see, 3 guards, an elf and a hidden assassin vs a novice adventurer, his crush and a tied up and gagged prisoner with the prisoner's sister on the way. I think that's a little too unfair." Iskandor smirks, cocky as ever. He starts off by slashing the thigh of one guard while shooting the elf in the knee with his crossbow. As Iskandor seems to be a larger threat the guards turn towards him, giving Serena enough time to free Roku's arms and remove the gag before having to block the attack of the assassin. Iskandor puts the crossbow on his belt and finishes off the guard he just slashed. He jumps back and tosses a dagger to Roku who is now completely free. Roku tags in against the assassin while Serena uses her hooked sword to disarm a guard and use the pommel of the other to bash the 3rd guard in the head. Iskandor quickly ties up the shocked Elf while Hikari arrives with a scratch on her arm and only a few drops of blood as it seems she avoided attack for the most part. At this moment Roku manages to kill the assassin with a good dagger throw to the neck. Hikari helps finish the last two guards who are now nothing more than fodder.

"Onii-chan!" Hikari exclaims and hugs Roku.

"Thanks for saving me Hikari, I knew you had some combat skill but I didn't expect you to come after me, let alone with help and that much skill." Roku says appreciatively.

"This went by a little too smooth..." Iskandor states.
