Chapter 64: I’m Ready
[MICAELA]
The Woodhill house always feels empty during the day. Justin is at the office, Kia is at school, and Azalea is at her garden. Mrs. Dell is at the kitchen, but she’s not a talker. I’m okay with that, though. I’m a talker only with certain people, and I respect silent people like Mrs. Dell.
“I’ve finished all the cleaning and gardening, Ms. Micaela. Now I’ll stay in my room,” Mrs. Dell said.
“Thank you so much, Mrs. Dell.”
She’s a warm person, but after her husband died, she’s become a very quiet person. Justin told me about her story and it kinda broke my heart. She never has a child. Justin takes care of her really well and lets her have anything she needs here.
I’m alone eating my fish and chips in this luxurious dining room, just next to the kitchen. I don’t feel lonely at all. I’m happy; I’m very, very happy, like.. I can say that I might be the happiest person on earth. I bet Alexa felt the same way when she’s still alive.
