Mama and Papa hug me after I finish taking pictures with the lecturers and friends on the graduation stage.
"Mama and Papa sometimes dread wishing this could happen."
I kiss Mama's cheek, then Papa's. "All this because you don't stop praying.. Thank you."
Justin is still near the podium, with his Mom and Dad, greeting the chancellors and professors of our University. Ramon, Jared and Ken come up to us and congratulate us.
"Jack isn't coming, is he?" I ask.
"He’ll be graduating next year," Jared replies.
I look around for my friends’ parents, but I don’t see them.
Ramon quickly says, "Our parents were out earlier, hanging out at the cafe next door, hahahaa."
"Ooohhh," I reply, laughing.
Mom takes her cell phone from her bag. "Come on, let's take a photo of you together!”
"What about Justin?"
I shake my head. "He’s fine. Let’s take some pics first!”
