chapter 4
Selenia and the blond haired man both received new decks of cards and took out the jokers. the blond haired man was nervous as he the young lady infront of him looked familiar. the two had started setting up their cards as the game he chose was double Solitary. the winner would be determined on who completes their deck fastest. "three, two, one, begin!" as a bystander said that, Selenia and the blond man began the game. throughout the game Selenia could begin to hear the whispers around the bar, including the rumors from the city. She payed close attention to the whispers while also picking up the pace of completing her deck. Since the man infront of her was her old comrade she had also been keeping an eye on his movements. As for blond man, he was very concentrated as the person he was playing against looked very familiar. He knew the danger of that woman and had hoped he would never crossed paths with her again, but it seemed that fate was playing the cards and not him.
The game was intense it self as all eyes were on the players, the way they moved each card was swift. what felt like hours was in reality only 15 min when the game ended. "Haha looks like I win little lady, now pay up!" the blond man shouted as he believed he won. "Sorry to say but I finished before you." Selenia said as she grabbed the bottle that had been next to her and began drinking it. the blond man was shocked that he was beaten but soon that shock turned into anger as he got up and lifted Selenia by her coat. Feeling angry that he had done that as a threat against her, Selenia quickly punched the man in the head and freed herself from his grasp. As soon as her feet touched the wooden floor, flames surrounded her as she created a weapon from her flames. Selenias prefer choice of weapon was a scythe, but would occasionally use a sword sometimes. when he looked at Selenia he finally remembered who she was. "well now its been awhile, Wrath." Selenia started to laugh as she extinguished her weapon. "And here I thought you forgot about me, Greed." both of them stayed in silence as the bystanders started to whisper, the many rumors of them and their deeds. "So what brings you the Hina Kingdom, here to gamble away till the end of time?" Greed was questioning why she was here of all times.
"Lets just say its a business trip." Before Greed was able to question her any further, the city guards busted into the tavern. "by orders under King Mir the fifth, you both are now under arrest." Greed was ready to make a run for it until he saw that Selenia was willingly going with the guards, so he stayed quiet and played along. As the Guards walked Greed and Selenia to the castle dungeons, Selenia kept an eye on her surroundings. how the people here were poor and miserable. as the people who did not have a home wandered the dirty street. some were adults and elderly. The children who were abandoned by their parents would ban together for warmth. Just looking at the sight made her feel disgusted. when they arrived at the castle Greed had heard the whispers of the maids along with all the other royals, and was now wondering why they were talking about her. when they arrived at the dungeons, the guards pushed Greed and Selenia into different cells. "so explain why your here now of all times?" Selenia simply sighed and started explaining the situation. "well since I'm broke at the moment, tagging along wouldn't hurt, right." Selenia agreed since she had a feeling Kenji had other intentions. Throughout the night Selenia and Greed talked and catched up with eachother. when the moon had been replaced with the sun, Kenji started to wake up only to find Selenia gone. He found her bag and notebook on the chair where she had been sitting the night before. The notebook had a page marked, and Kenji decided to flip to it. "Kenji I know your reading this, if your wondering where I am, I'm probably in the castle dungeons with my comrade. Knowing the ruler they are going to put us on trial only to have us executed but I'm not gonna die so easily, so make your way to the castle as soon as you can." Kenji not wasting a second grabbed his things along with Selenias bag and made his way towards the Castle.
Kenji used the fact that he was a general from the Nashdra kingdom to get in and there he saw Selenia and a tall guy with messy blond hair and blue eyes being forced to walk to the throne room. When he was in the front, he saw both of them standing ready to face the King. "All kneel in the presence of King Mir the fifth." Kenji knelt down along with the others of high status to not draw suspension, of course Selenia and the Greed didn't kneel as they didn't really care about the king. "Court is now in session." The king had clean combed brown hair and black eyes, it made Selenia sick as he was the spitting image of Mir back when she was naive. "Before you say our supposed crimes and kill us either way, I want you to lower the taxes of this city and control your Greed." The court was in udder shock, as the accused was making demands. "And what makes you think your in a position to make demands. As I see it you're guilty of disturbing the peace in my perfect kingdom." Selenia simply rolled her eyes while Greed started snickering. "You robbed people of their homes, of their family's, of their Life, your not a king but rather a command thief." Greed was now full on laughing as the expression on the King was priceless.
"and what do you know, your just a common present with no future what so ever." the King and other nobles then started to laugh as he always believed to be right. "your wrong, I am Selenia flor, Queen of the flora kingdom." Selenia then broke the chains around her wrist and grabbed her seal from her coat pocket as proof of who they were dealing with. The king and nobles where now in utter shock as they had mocked the queen of a powerful kingdom. "even if you are her, you have no power here, and its also common that royalty dies in diplomatic business in other kingdoms." Selenia used her flames to create her scythe, ready to kill anyone who dared try to kill her. "if you want your men to die then go ahead and ask for my head, if not you'll be wise to have your men stand down" Selenia had changed her scythe into a small dagger to cut the chains around Greeds wrists. "SEIZE THEM FOR OBSTRUCTION OF JUSTICE" the guards although hesitant, charged towards the duo but the fight was already won before it had begun. Selenia had changed the form of the small dagger back into her scythe. in one single swing, she killed all the surrounding guards. Her scythe burning away through its target like that of water trickling down a blade of grass. Greed looked with no remorse in his eyes while Kenji was terrified but tried not to show it. Selenia was now in front of the king ready to kill him, but unexpectedly a young child was now next to the king. Selenia wanted to kill that bastered of a king but he was also a father. "Raise that Child well and teach him what you failed to learn." Selenia then walked out of the throne room, with Kenji and Greed following behind her. the guards and other nobles didn't bother stopping them as they would end up dead if they tried. once they were outside the castle, Selenia grabbed her bag from Kenji and pulled out the map showing Greed where they were headed next. Selenia pointed towards the mountains on the map and started thinking if she would be able to find them all before war broke out or something worse. After she put away the map, Selenia hoped on her horse and started leading the way. As for Kenji and greed they rode together as they followed behind Selenia. Greed felt that Kenji was strange and felt uneasy around him.
