I Am Going In

At night,

Yang Zhai was sitting at the table and was wearing a cloak. His face was covered by a hood, and it could not be seen. The table he was sitting at was in the corner and was not that conspicuous.

After a while, Ha Kun walked into the tavern and looked around. 

After Yang Zhai saw Ha Kun, he waved at Ha Kun. When Ha Kun saw this, he walked to the table and sat on a chair.

Ha Kun looked at Yang Zhai and said, 

"Why are you wearing this cloak, brother? And why are you hiding your face?"

"Simple, because I want to be careful. Think about it, if someone we know sees us going out of the village at night, won't they grow suspicious and follow us? Even if they don't, they would surely inform the elders, and if this happens, it won't be easy for us to hide the inheritance." Yang Zhai made up a story. "Huh, so that's why. I understand now, brother." Ha Kun got the point. 

"I got one for you as well, here, take it and wear it." Yang Zhai handed a cloak to Ha Kun that looked the same as the one he was wearing.

"Anyway, brother, why do we need to hide the inheritance? We can just split it up and nobody would say anything, right?" Ha Kun still had many questions.

"Tell me something, if someone powerful comes to you and threatens your life and asks you to hand over your inheritance to them to let you go unscathed, what would you do?" Yang Zhai did not answer and asked a question instead, his question was also his answer.

Yang Zhai did not mind answering Ha Kun's questions, after all, he could not let Ha Kun grow suspicious. If Ha Kun suspects something, then Yang Zhai would have to change his plan and put a stop to everything.

It's just that when I saved Chin Mae, as thanks, he told me that the third level of the inheritance requires two people to open it, that is why I need you. But don't worry, I will give you one of the items you want as a reward. So, there is a benefit in this for both of us." Yang Zhai laughed slowly and said. He did this because he wanted to make it seem more real. If he agreed to everything without any reason, would not the people think that Yang Zhai was planning something? But if he made himself look like a greedy person, who was only telling Ha Kun because he required his help, then everything would seem more reasonable.

"Brother, don't you think it's unfair? I should at least get half of the inheritance." Ha Kun said with a smiling face but was thinking something else: You want me to help you and in return, I will get only a single item, what do you take me for?

In this world, even though kids would sometimes act on instincts, they would be taught to be more rational from a young age. "Don't forget that I am the class leader. I can, at maximum, give you two items." Yang Zhai acted like he was nervous. His hands trembled a bit, and he even agreed to give two items instead of one.

"At best, you will punish me at most, and I have nothing to lose. But you have already revealed your secret to me." Ha Kun smiled after seeing Yang Zhai's nervous expression and acted fearlessly.

"Sigh, ok, I will give you half of the inheritance. I hope you are happy now. Let's go before it gets midnight." Yang Zhai sighed and gave up. He gave Ha Kun an edge over himself to make Ha Kun more confident.¹ In this way, Ha Kun would be more confident and would try to act more proudly, and people who act proudly without thinking of the consequences always make mistakes and cause their own downfall. "Very well then, let's go." Yang Zhai said and stood up.

"Ok," Ha Kun also stood up.

Yang Zhai left the inn and started to walk in a certain direction. Ha Kun followed closely behind.

Even though Yang Zhai was unable to see anything clearly, he was extremely aware of the terrain and the streets: thus, it was not hard for him to choose the directions. As for the people, as long as they come five meters close to him, he would be able to see them and avoid crashing into them. Therefore, it was not difficult for him to walk without any issues. They both walked out of the village quietly and walked in a certain direction. They did not leave from the village's main gate, but they left from the same location Yang Zhai had walked out of with the two kids when he refined the Strength Ka.

"Brother Yang, where is the place?" Ha Kun asked after they walked for five minutes

"Not far away, we need to walk for only a little while more." Yang Zhai did not look behind and replied.

After walking for more than an hour, they stopped.

In front of them was a hole in the ground, or it could also be said to be a burrow. It was so narrow that only a single person could cross it at one time. This hole was in a slope position. And inside was dark and nothing could be seen.

"It's in there. We need to go down there." Yang Zhai turned around and said to Ha Kun.

"Brother Yang, maybe we will return tomorrow during the day and then go down there. I think it's dangerous to go in right now, it's dark inside and nothing can be seen." Then he shook the stone heavily, and it began to shine with blue light. Yang Zhai had brought this stone from Jun Seo. When he shook the stone, it illuminated the surroundings.

"But still…" Ha Kun was still not satisfied and hesitated.

"I am going in, if you don't want to come, you can return." Yang Zhai said this and went into the burrow.
