Chapter 84 - Encounter in hospital.

Chapter 84

It was the day I went back to Izu. I'm going back alone because Ayase has already gone back with her mom yesterday night. Initially, we planned to go home together like when we came here. But it seems Ayase's mother mistakenly accepted a job in Izu today so they need to go back as soon as possible.

As we have many photoshoots together, Ayase's family and I became considerably close this year. I have even visited their house many times when escorting Ayase to her home. For that reason, her mother who usually picks Ayase up after she finished her job didn't come when she knew I was with Ayase.

Nevertheless, she needs to accompany Ayase to Tokyo, though. It's another town after all. There is no way she wasn't worried about her daughter.

Right now, I am in the middle of preparing my stuff before going back to Izu. The sounds of birds that happily chirping in the morning accompanying me putting my stuff to the bag. It was until my phone rang. When I look at the screen, it displayed a call from Grayfia.

"Yo, what's up Grayfia?" I asked.

"I heard you were still in Tokyo?" Grayfia said.

"Indeed, I'm going home this evening, though." I casually said.

"Then, there is plenty of time. Can you accompany me to the hospital?" Grayfia asked.

"Are you fine? How about I go to your house right away? Where is your house?" Thinking that Grayfia might be sick, I said in a worried tone.

"Hehe, I'm not. It's just a routine check-up. I'm thinking maybe we can go to Tada's coffee shop after that." Grayfia giggled and said with a happy tone.

"Fuu... I thought you got sick. Sure thing, do you want me to pick you up?" I sighed relievedly and asked.

"Is it fine for a master to pick his maid up?" Grayfia jokingly said.

"that's the point, isn't it? You are 'my' maid after all." I teasingly said while emphasizing the point.

"Hehe, indeed. Then, please pick me up, master." Grayfia giggled and said.

"Wait, where do you live?" I asked.

"I will text you the address," Grayfia said.

"Okay, see you later," I said.

"Nn, see you later, master," Grayfia said teasingly.

Naturally, I don't have a driving license nor car right now. I planned to buy one after I had got my driving license which means next year since I was still 16 this year. Fortunately, Natsuki already told Jii, her butler to drive for me whenever I went to Tokyo.

I called Jii to pick me up at my hotel in Ariake. I didn't stay at Natsuki's house because Ayase and her mother were here this time. It would be uncomfortable for them to stay in a stranger house moreover luxurious one without the owner of the house being there.

When Jii came, I ask him to take me to Grayfia's apartment in Ebisu. Grayfia was waiting right in front of the entrance of the six stories apartments. I think it was a mid-level apartment in terms of luxuriousness. I guess it's an excellent choice for an OL moreover manager to live alone.

I opened the car window and revealed my face to Grayfia who still looking at the street without realizing I was in the car next to her.

"Yo, how about you play with me for a while." I jokingly said while pinching my nose to change my voice.

"No thanks." Grayfia curtly answered without even looking at me.

"But I am here to pick my maid up, though?" I smilingly said and this time with my real voice.

"Master... Please don't make a joke like that. I thought someone was hitting on me." Grayfia sighed and said.

"My bad, but isn't it fine for a master to hitting on his maid?" I said with a teasing smile.

"Hehe, that's true," Grayfia said with a smile.

"You look beautiful today, Grayfia." I praised with a charming smile. Grayfia wears a black knee-length skirt with a white blouse. It was a simple yet beautiful combination that fits together with her silver hair.

"Thanks. You look handsome too, Izumi." Grayfia praised back with a red hue on her cheek.

"Hehe. At any rate, get in." I opened the door and said. Then Grayfia promptly went inside the car and sit beside me. Grayfia looked at the glass and saw Jii nodded at her with a smile and she replied with the same.

"Which hospital we're going to?" I asked.

"Ginza hospital, please," Grayfia answered.

"Please take us to the Ginza hospital, Jii." I smilingly said.

"Understood, master." Jii nodded and politely said with a smile.

----

I wait in the hall in front of the check-up room Grayfia currently in. Because for some reason my intuition informing me to wait outside while Grayfia does her check-up.

After ten minutes waiting, suddenly a patient was hurriedly taken in front of the doctor who seems to be the one in charge. Even though it's considerably far, I can see it clearly that the patient is a boy with his right hand and left leg severed.

It seems the boy got involved in a train accident. The doctor in charge immediately said it would be impossible to re-attach the boy's right hand and left leg at this rate. The boy's parents begged the doctor to re-attach the boy's right hand and left leg but the doctor refused it.

Incidentally, the boy's father is a businessman who barely allowed to join the celebration party so he should recognize me if I open my health mask. Decent magicians in the organization should be able to re-attach the boy's hand and leg.

But as the number of magicians in Japan was relatively scarce with most of them affiliated with the ancient family except Natsuki's family who only has her, Jii, and some servants. Other than that, the rest of the magicians rarely come to Tokyo since they have their research.

And the severed limbs need to be attached within 8 hours which means it would be hard to ask their help.

When I was about to approach the man, an intern with half black and half white hair and suture marks on his face went to see the conditions of the boy.

"I can re-attach the boy's right hand and left leg." The intern said with a thoughtful expression. Looks like this intern was the one my intuition told me about.

"Hah? Don't say something ridiculous young man. Do you want to bear the responsibility of the boy's dead?" The doctor in charge frowned and said.

"I will give you my hand and leg if I failed. How about it?" The intern said then asked the boy's parents. The boy's parents hesitated because it's about their son's lives.

"Let him do the operation." I approached them and said while opening my health mask.

"Kitahara-sama..." The boy's father who recognizes me said with a hopeful expression.

"Who are you, young man? Do you think people live is for you to decide?" The doctor in charge sternly said.

"Well, if I wanted to. Joke aside, let him do the operation. If it fails, I will do something about it." I casually said.

"You..." The intern looked at me wonderingly and said.

"If Kitahara-sama said so... Please do the operation, young man." The man lowered his head with a joyful expression as if he knew his son will definitely have his leg and hand back since I am here.

"But we can't let an unlicensed intern do an operation you know?" The doctor in charge said.

"Don't worry, I will call someone." I smilingly said.

Then I called the minister of health to let the intern do the operation and if he failed I will heal the boy myself. The minister instantly accepted with a happy tone and he is going to call the doctor in charge at the Ginza hospital after I hang up.

Not long after, the doctor in charge got called by the minister and immediately instructed the other doctor to assist the operation.

"This is your fight. Good luck." I tapped the intern's shoulder and said.

"Why do you believe I would be able to do it?" The intern curiously asked.

"It's just intuition. And my intuition was never wrong. Moreover, your eyes don't seem like someone who knows he will fail." I casually said.

"Well, go on. We can continue talking later." I added. Then the intern nodded affirmatively and went to the operations room.

The boy's parents waited for the operation to finish which the doctor in charge said typically would take six to eight hours. But the boy's parents don't seem to be nervous anymore since I promised to cure their son myself.

Thirty minutes later, Grayfia came out from her check-up room.

"Are you done?" I asked.

"Nn. Let's go to Tada's coffee shop then?" Grayfia said with a smile.

"Ou, let's go," I answered with a smile.

"Anoo..." The boy's father wanted to say something, but he hesitated.

"Don't worry. I will come back exactly six hours later. Not for healing your son, though. Since there is no need to." I casually said. Grayfia, who heard our conversation looking at me curiously but didn't say anything.

"Does that mean the young man will succeed?" The man asked.

"Yes. Do you think I will let someone who won't succeed to do that?" I raised my eyebrow and said.

"N-no, I am very sorry Kitahara-sama." The man said with a terrified expression.

"Maa, don't be that scared. If I say he will, then he will." I chuckled and said.

"I see... Then I will be sure to heartily thank that young man." The man albeit still nervous nodded and said.

I nodded then wear my health mask back. Then I gently grasped Grayfia's hand and take her out of the hospital.

"Is there a problem in the hospital?" Grayfia curiously asked as we walk.

"Well, I will tell you on the way," I said.

Don't forget this is a fiction and an AU. So, if there is a theory you don't like and illogical, it's because I randomly made it after researching on google for about five minutes.

Other than that, if you like this story (who am I kidding) consider buying me a cup of coffee to accompany me in writing. (No, no benefit at all since this story isn't worth to sell, just a pure donation link)
