Chapter 10

Kathyln was done taking her bath and came out in her bathrobe,she didn't change yet and wore the bathrobe for a while before going down to the kitchen.

Hey do you know where my phone is,kathlyn asked val looking for her phone as she came down.

Here,she said and gave her the phone while eating a piece of cake which was already cooled and could be eaten.

Have you gone for the dress you will wear,valerie asked.

Its just a club,its not like i am going on a date or something,kathlyn said.

Find something suitable,you don't only dress up while going on dates you know,valerie said and kathlyn felt the urge to roll her eyes.

They ate the cake and it was really yummy but they left the remaining in the fridge and headed out of the house for lunch with valerie at a nearby restuarant.

They ordered fresh sea food and ate while making funny jokes or comments.

After that they went for shopping and though kathyln didn't agree to it,valerie was persistent and dragged her to the mall,they had s good time shopping and valerie made her try a gazillion dresses while kathyln could just try them on with a frown.

Finally they were done shooping and left with only three dresses,like seriously what was the need for trying all other dresses on,valerie made her try on a beautiful golden sequin party dress and they instantly agreed on that one and other three only for kathlyn.

As valerie insisted she bought only for herself as she had a thousand dresses most of which she wasn't saying.

The evening came quickly and valerie changed into a red knee length bandage dress and paired it with a black heel shoe,she alse curled her hair which made her look even cuter than normal meanwhile kathyln wore a brown above knee wrap dress and wore a black boot and also tied her hair up in a ponytail which made her look like a naive teenage high schooler.

She didn't apply makeup but used a little lip gloss to avoid chapped lips.

You look cute,valerie said with a little smile and before kathyln could thank her she added.

Which isn't a look for the club,you can't go looking like an adorable lost puppy,valerie added.

You even tied your hair up in a ponytail,seriously kat,she said.

This was the only look my mind could think of,that is apart from plain jean and a shirt,kathlyn said.

If i can't go like this then i rather not go at all,kathlyn said and valerie let out a loud groan which was very unlady like.

Come on lets go,valerie said and they left after locking the door of her apartment.

They decided to go the club on foot as they were completely sure they would be too wasted to drive and instead they would use a cab to get home,she went as far as to write her address in a piece of paper and put it inside her bag.

The club was rather crowded and kindda stuffy but the more the merrier,they headed inside and saw two available chairs by the bar center snd they sat down there.

They immediately got drinks and had two shots already,while about taking the third one Valerie's phone all of a sudden rang and she picked it up with a smile seeing the name.

Hey babe,she said with a smile and kathlyn gave her a side eye.

They could talk freely as the club was not too rowdy downstairs,the music was playing from the upstairs so it wasn't too loud and she was able to take her call.

Always have the opportunity to remind me that i am very much single.

Am out with kat,we are at that club i told you about yesterday.

Yh i decided to try it out,mark said.

Oh when did you visit it,val asked surprised because from what she knew from him he wasn't a club person,he was more of an introvert who loved to spend time with friends,family and her.

I came there like an hour ago,he said and she gasped.

Really,why didn't you tell me you were coming today and you left too,she said with a frown which he could see from a distance making him chuckle.

And who said i left,he said leaving her puzzled.

I am still at the club,he said and she turned to look for him but didn't find him.

Are you up?,she asked and he replied"Turn back",which she did several time but didn't see him.

Tuen slowly,he said and she slowed down and looked everywhere finally sighting him,she gave out a wide smile,soon after she disconnected the call.

Kat am going to see mark,he is just over there,valerie said informimg kathlyn.

Well i guess i should just go back home,kathlyn said taking her nth shot of the alcohol.

Don't be such a drama queen,i will be right back ,val said and left.

Kathyln brought out her phone as valerie left and started scrolling through social media,she was scrolling when she saw a video of logan doing an interview about the new movie,she was going to do one the coming monday,she watched the video not paying attention to his words but admiring his beautiful face and smile.

She got bored while going through social media and texted valerie.

It's already being half an hour,are you sure i shouldn't go home and by the way i feel a little tipsy,kathlyn typed.

Valerie replied quickly,"why don't you come over here,he has lots of cute male friends i can assure you.

I don't want to interrupt anything,i will be fine here,saying that kathlyn put away her phone and tool another shot.
