Chapter 2

“Nah man, I’m here to check on a Chase Bradley. Do you have any information on him?” Gabe looked at Calvin. Calvin was a sweet and sexy man, but his overly outrageous personality didn’t do it for Gabe. They once tried a friend’s night out with some of the nurses and doctors from the ER, but Gabe realized quickly that Calvin not only had a flamboyant, over-the-top personality, but was also very stuck on himself. He’d been trying for years to find the elusive someone that reminded him of Chase, but sadly that never happened.

“Gabe? What the fuck, man.” Calving laughed as he waved the file in front of his face.

Shaking out of his thoughts, Gabe yanked the file out of Calvin’s hand, leafing through until he found the summary report. It was worse than he’d thought. Fuck!

“Are you taking over this one?” Calvin reached for the scheduler on the wall, marker poised to make corrections to the schedule.

“No, Dr. Manning is good; I’ll consult with him. Can you page him, please?”
