A Kiss From Darkness

Warning… Matured content. “Look at me,” he commanded, his eyes boring into her like black pits of venom. Lilith’s chest tightened as she stared at the floor and the room seemed to shrink around her. “Dinner with the devil is one thing. Staring at the embodiment of evil itself…quite another.” Dracula’s smirk widened, his fingers squeezing Lilith’s chin. “Oh, and do I frighten you, little one?” His eyes burned into her, piercing her soul like daggers “You see now the truth of my power. You thought you could challenge me, toying with my affections as though I were some lovesick puppy.” Lilith sighed, because despite the darkness that swirled around her, she found herself unafraid of Dracula. “Now, look at me, and speak what you have beneath your heart,” he commanded. Lilith’s chin lifted with a surge of defiance. "Dracula Beelzebub. You are nothing but a monstrous abomination." she hissed, her voice dripping with disdain. "A fiend of the lowest caliber, unworthy of even a moment of my time." Dracula raised an eyebrow as he smirked, impressed by her insults. "And yet, you cannot deny that I am the most powerful being in this room." Lilith sneered. "Yo… You deserves to be banished back to the bowels of Hell." Dracula smiled, his teeth white in the flickering candlelight. "Ah, but where’s the fun in that? I much prefer making life interesting for the mortals." Lilith's hands curled into fists at her sides, and she took a step forward. “Interesting?" she spat. "You call torment and misery ‘interesting’? You are a demon, feeding off the misery and pain of others." Dracula chuckled, spreading his arms wide in a gesture of mock surrender. "And what of it? What do you intend to do about it, little mortal?" ~~~~~ Meet Lilith Raziel, a young, beautiful orphan who was born blind. The man of her dreams.

As the handsome stranger began to walk away from Morgana, Lilith found herself propelled into action.

She lunged forward, grasping the hem of his shirt in an attempt to halt his departure.

In a swift, fluid motion, he turned to face Lilith, forcefully shoving her hands away.

The golden hue in his eyes seemed to darken, his once captivating gaze now bearing an ominous intensity causing Lilith to feel a sudden knot of dread forming in the pit of her stomach.

"Don't touch me!" He spat, his voice laced with venom of acid and then, slowly his gaze began to return to normal.

Seeing his normal gaze, Lilith bites her lower lips, blushing at him. "Do you want to touch me?" Lilith typed, and for the first time in a long time, Morgana realized that Lilith possessed shameless behavior, and it was all too new to Morgana.

"Why don't you start drawing the portrait first." He uttered, walking back towards where he had been seated before.

With a smile plastered on Lilith's lips, she headed towards her drawing board.

Lilith grabbed a napkin and upon cleaning her face, she grabbed Morgana's handbag and pulled out a red lipstick which she quickly applied on her lips.

Opening her phone camera, she took a selfie of herself and immediately proceeded to draw the selfie portrait.

"What did you do to my friend?" Morgana questioned the young man.

He said nothing, as he just stared blankly at Morgana.

Having no other option, Morgana decided to remain still as she watched as her friend drew a portrait of herself.

Half an hour later, Lilith smiled warmly as she showed the portrait to the young man. "Here you go." She typed.

"Don't wrap the portrait." He said, rising from where he had been seated.

As he dug his hands deep inside his trouser pocket, he proceeded to continue talking. "Put it in a frame and don't worry, I'll pay for that too."

Lilith winked at him as she did as he had requested her to do, prompting him to shake his head sideways as he withdrew his hands from his pocket.

After that, she handed over the framed portrait to the young man who took it in his left hand.

Once again, he dug his hands inside his pocket, revealing piles of dollar notes. "Here you go." He spat, handing over ten thousand dollars to Lilith.

"Tha… that is too much for me." Lilith typed, shaking her head sideways as she rejected the money from the man.

He sighed, his shoulder dropping down in frustration. "Just take it." He spat, shoving the money on Lilith's chest as he turned around to walk away.

"Hey! What the hell are you doing to my friend you pervert!" Morgana screamed, her eyes burning with fire as she snarled at the young man.

Clutching the money to her chest, Lilith approached him, her eyes pleading as she typed a message: "Can I have a kiss before you leave?"

"Kiss him?" Morgana exclaimed, her voice tinged with surprise as she raised her eyebrows at her friend.

Her gaze darted between Lilith and the young man, her confusion and concern evident in her expression.

The unexpected nature of Lilith's request had caught Morgana completely off guard, leaving her unsure of how to react.

She was stunned to have read the outrageous question of her friend.

The young man scoffed and as he winked at Lilith, he shook his head sideways. "Have a nice day." He spat as he began walking away, ignoring Lilith's request.

Morgan's lips adjourned wide in surprise but she just couldn't bring herself to say anything.

While the young man walked away, Lilith smiled warmly as she inhaled the money as if it were a boutique of flowers while watching the young man's back.

Once the young man had walked out of Lilith's sight, she pulled the money away from her nose as she fluttered her eyelashes and then she stared at Morgana.

"What just happened?" Lilith typed, shoving the money into the ground as her gaze became wide open, almost as if she had seen a ghost.

Morgana scuffed her feet, rolling her eyes in disbelief. "You're playing a dangerous game, Lilith Raziel," she said coldly as she bent down to gather the scattered money from the floor. "You've just handed over your portrait to a stranger, someone you know nothing about."

Although Morgana's gaze was fixed on the task at hand, Lilith could sense the palpable disappointment and frustration in her friend's voice.

It was clear that Morgana believed Lilith had been far too reckless in her dealings with the mysterious young man, potentially risking their safety for a fleeting moment of intrigue.

The heart of Lilith immediately began to beat rapidly for she became scared by the fact that she had just given her portrait to someone.

All that Lilith could remember was that a handsome stranger had shown up right in front of her and after that, she couldn't recall all that happened.

It was almost as if she had been lost in a trance.

"I… I don't know if the expired medicine is the one messing with me but right now, I need to return this money to the guy so that he can hand over my portrait to me." Lilith typed.

Morgana gave Lilith a slight nod as she offered the entire money that she had picked from the floor to the hands of Lilith.

"Quickly catch up with him okay," Morgana uttered, her statement giving Lilith the courage to run towards the crowd as she searched for the mysterious young man.

She saw a man dressed in complete black and the man was probably 6 feet so Lilith quickly ran towards him and she grabbed his hands, making him turn around to gaze at her.

When the young man turned around, Lilith's face formed a frown because the man wasn't the stranger from earlier.

With a slight apologetic nod, Lilith excused herself, running towards another young man who was dressed in complete black and as she grabbed the man's hands, she pulled him to turn towards her but to her surprise, it was someone else entirely.

Once again, Lilith frowned as she bowed her head slightly in an apologetic manner.

She was frustrated by the fact that a lot of individuals in the market were dressed in complete black. It was almost as if the entire customers present on the market were secretly mourning someone.

Nevertheless, Lilith didn't back down but continued searching for the young man.

And then, she stretched out her hands to call out for a young man who turned back towards her, and as his gaze met with Lilith… she knew he was the one.

He was the man of her dreams!
