Chapter 2 - Death!

It is the period of 'The Second Great Ninja War.' Hidden leaf village, hidden rock village, and hidden sand village are fighting. A large number of ninja are fighting against their foes for the best interests of their respective villages.

At another place in the country of rain, two teenagers were surrounded by many ninjas. Both of them were on high alert, staring at their foes. The rain was constantly falling, drenching their clothes, making them uncomfortable.

The boy with broken orange hair walked forward in the rain and laughed at himself. "Peace! What an idiot I am! Why would this hateful guy cooperate with me to complete an impossible task!"

The boy's name is Yahiko. He created an organization called 'Akatsuki' with his best friends Nagato and Konan and other wandering ninjas to bring Peace to the world. He wanted to end all the sufferings of this world by ending the war between the countries.

That's why when he received a message from the leader of the hidden rain village, Hanzo, asking him for cooperation to end the war, he agreed without any suspicion.

And that led to the current situation. One of his companions, the blue-haired girl named Konan, was captured by the hateful Hanzo and his subordinates. Anbu surrounded him and his other best friend, Nagato.

It's a pity he realized everything too late. They already fell into their opponent's vicious trap. He focused on the woman held by the hateful guy with a mask, Hanzo.

Who would have thought that the other party would design such a vicious trap for them? Nobody believed that Hanzo, the guy titled 'Demigod,' would use such a cruel method of taking a hostage to eliminate them.

Now everything is in the control of the other party, and it is too late to save everyone.

"Your organization is too much of a threat to me." Hanzo looked at the two teenagers and said with an indifferent tone.

"Although I admire your talents, if I can't use it, I'd rather destroy it. Yahiko! As the leader of Akatsuki, you will die here. If you dare to resist, then this woman will be dead!" Hanzo threatened Yahiko while placing a kunai on the neck of the woman he held hostage.

"Damn it!" Yahiko gritted his teeth in frustration. One of his best friends is in the hands of the other party, and he can't give up his companion.

"You, the red-haired boy next to him! Take this kunai and kill Yahiko! Then I will let you and this woman go. Otherwise, don't blame me for killing her right now." Hanzo pointed at the red-haired teenager beside Yahiko, trembling due to the crisis, and threw the kunai in front of him.

Hanzo wouldn't let any chance for Yahiko to survive. As long as the Akatsuki leader is eliminated here, the rest is easy to solve anyway.

"Stop! Please don't do it, Nagato! Both of you run away and leave me here." Konan shouted heartbreakingly in Hanzo's hands. She hates the despicable Hanzo and her incompetence with all her hearts. If she weren't caught, none of this would have happened. She would rather die than drag her friends here.

Konan wanted to commit suicide, but how could Hanzo, a scheming bastard, let the hostage die without achieving his purpose. He immediately stopped any suicide attempt making Konan desperate.

When Nagato picked up the kunai and was at a loss what to do, Yahiko glanced at him with a trace of nostalgia. Then he looked at Hanzo with a hateful expression. "I hope you will fulfill your promise. Otherwise, I will drag you to hell with me."

Hanzo looked at his firm expression and nodded. It didn't matter to him whether the girl he held hostage escaped by herself. It wouldn't affect the village anyway.

"Nagato! Kill me." Yahiko shouted at his friend, making him turn around and face him. Nagato was trembling with a kunai pointing towards his way.

"It looks like this is the end of me. I want to protect the two of my friend at any cost! No matter how painful it might be..." Yahiko recalled the only goal of his life. Now he has to choose between his dream and friends. And he didn't hesitate to save his friend.

"Nagato!!" Looking at the hesitant Nagato, Yahiko knew Konan's situation would be more dangerous as time passes by.

"No!! I don't want to kill you, Yahiko!" Hot tears started streaming out of Nagato's eyes. He didn't want to kill his best friend with his own hands. He would rather die than kill his friend.

"Hurry up! Otherwise, I will kill this woman!" Hanzo shouted out loud, reminding the two teenagers of their predicament. Hanzo knew the purpose of this trip had been half accomplished. Now, he only needs to push Nagato to kill Yahiko, and it will be fully completed.

"Konan!" Nagato looked at Konan being held hostage in the hateful Hanzo's hands and, with trembling hands, walked in front of Yahiko. He started reminiscing about his childhood periods. Yahiko and Konan took him when he was most desperate. They gave him food and were willing to be his friend despite his timidness.

"Yahiko..." Nagato's words were not fished when suddenly, his kunai pierced into something. Feeling the warm and moist liquid in his hands, Nagato found that Yahiko leaned against him with the kunai inserted in his chest.

"Nagato! You and Konan have to live anyway! Please don't blame yourself for my death... Maybe you can be the savior of this world... Live well..." Yahiko, whose lungs were pierced, weakly leaned on Nagato's trembling shoulders. Traces of blood flowed out his mouth, and he spoke his final words weakly with a trace of unwillingness and nostalgia.

After speaking his final words, he fell weakly on the muddy ground full of rain.

"Yahiko!!" Nagato and Konan wailed out loud, seeing his friends fall on the muddy ground. Hot tears trailed down their faces seeing their best friend dying in front of them.

"My only dream is to bring peace in the world." Remembering the dream of his now dead friend, Nagato could no longer control his grief and anger toward the hateful Hanzo, who took away his friend's life.

"Hanzo!! I'm going to kill you!" Nagato coldly said to Hanzo without any expression. Today, he's going to kill this hateful fellow at any cost, even if it meant dying here. The purple rinnegan eyes started flickering intensely by his unstable condition due to excessive grief.

Unbeknownst to them, the moment Yahiko died, a foreign soul invaded his body. What changes will this bring to them?
