Chapter 11

Bane surprisingly was able to hold his own against the duo consisting of Kobra and Sportsmaster as the small explosive weapons that Sportsmaster through into the giant roided up form of Bane couldn't do anything and Kobra's vaunted martial arts also couldn't deal enough damage to likewise hurt Bane.

On the other hand, Bane also wasn't able to exert his much greater strength upon the duo as they were able to stay out of his grasp, and even cover each other with Sportsmaster digging his weapon into Bane when Kobra was close to getting caught, and likewise, Kobra who target Bane's knees to allow Sportsmaster some distance to throw his explosive hockey pucks among other things.

I only watched their battle for a few moments before I saw one of the surrounding cultists get brought down by Kid Flash who entered the scene after a moment of hesitation, I locked onto Kobra as I knew his goal of widely spreading Kobra Venom a more potent and dangerous version of normal Venom was more important than possibly capturing Sportsmaster as he couldn't really give too much information about the Light.

My loud Sonido made the fighters twitch but before they could react, I grabbed Kobra by his face, and remembering his physical invulnerability I didn't hesitate to cause a small earthquake as I introduced his face into the earth and literally pushed his head into the soft jungle mud beneath us.

"Sportsmaster. Surrendered or I will suffocate you like a little bitch in this mud as well." I threatened as I pushed Kobra's head deeper into the mud beneath us with my foot and despite Kobra's various powers in the end he still needed to breathe.

"Can't do that kid." He grunted as he stabbed Bane with what looked to be an extendable Pool Cue of all things as Bane had taken his sharpened hockey stick. "Why don't you let my client breath a bit and I help you take down Bane as well as give you the cash they had stored up?" He offered but then Kid Flash finished dealing with mooks that were killing one another as the bosses fought.

"Ah, I see you are with the sidekicks never mind... Well looks like this job is a bust. I will get you for this later new kid!" Sportsmaster called as he ignited a flash bang and as much as I wanted to dash forward to stop him, I was busy keeping the struggling form of Kobra in check.

"Fuck." I cursed seeing the smoke from the flashbang disappear and even with my Pesquisa I couldn't sense him and even Bane was using his enhanced body to flee into the distance. "The bastard must have teleported somehow."

Aqualad then came over to me after he helped Superboy bind up all the criminals. "I assume you need help with him?" He asked dryly as Kobra was still under my feet acting like a pig rolling in the mud as he attempted to break free from the foot acting as an anchor upon him.

"Aqualad... I am literally here in a hoodie and blue jeans. Of course, I need help." I said dryly making him wince as no one had really cared to ask if I needed 'work' clothes as Superboy was adamant that a t-shirt and jeans were perfectly fine for hero work.

I didn't want to ask Batman to go clothes shopping for me...

"If you have several sets of cuffs, go on ahead but if anything, we should contact the league to pick him up directly as I am sure they will likely have great interest in the information about this whole Kobra-Venom merger of super drugs," I said pointing the large crate of vials that Kobra was trying to keep Bane from.

"Yeah, Batman would totally be all over this. But he's busy with this vampire stuff." Robin said helplessly and as he mentioned that I couldn't help but wonder how much supernatural stuff he has had to deal with being a hero in Gotham which literally had the greater demon Barbatos sealed beneath it.

After Robin got Kobra firmly bound up even going as far as to blind and deafen the man so he couldn't tell what we were doing, we even had Miss Martian telekinetically carry the man into her bio ship which surprisingly did have a small brig that consisted of the ships metal walls peeling open to show a small fleshy mucus covered pocket to which Kobra was unceremoniously thrown inside.

Then once all the goons of both parties were tied up on the edge of the beach well away from all the factories and facilities, we had the bioship fly high above the island a good distance away so we could watch Robin excitedly push a button on his wrist computer.

A series of explosions then bloomed into existence as the mostly underground C4 Robin planted brought down the majority of the factories, but I saw a number of things still standing. "Mind if I use an energy blast to deal with those?" I asked the team and everyone who was still clearly interested in seeing my nonphysical abilities told me to go on ahead, but to be careful of the captured people below.

I then pointed my finger at the dim lights beneath us and my spiritual pressure then unfurled as a dense purple light grew upon my finger. "Cero," I murmured as the ball of condensed purple light shot forward growing from its baseball-sized ball of spiritual energy to a massive pillar of purple energy wider than a car with my Cero not at all being an underground explosion as it exploded violently when the energy connected with the ground and even as the heat of my spiritual energy annihilating the matter hit us I kept my Cero going for a couple seconds as I used my finger to guide the pillar of energy to wipe away the existence of the factories.

"Now they won't be able to restart their factory no matter what," I said as I hurriedly reeled back in my spiritual pressure as Megan's bioship was starting to stutter in the air.

"Dude overkill much..." Robin chided but then as he looked at some night vision of the areas I blew up, he burst into laughter. "Jake you literally hit bedrock with those explosions so if anything, they will be able to actually rebuild easier than before compared to how much of a pain it is to build in jungle terrain."

"Ugh, see if I offer to clean up after your poor demolition in that case." I muttered as I sunk back into my comfortable heaven seat."

"Jake, you did good... Just next time make sure I am not there." Megan said as she shivered in place, and I remembered how Martians had an extreme fear of fire to put it bluntly.

Aqualad then coughed and told us we needed to get going as we needed to turn over Kobra and the Kobra-Venom samples we collected.

Finally, as we were heading back to the mainland of America Kid Flash began mumbling about how hungry he was. "Well, I know we are a black ops team but once we give Kobra and the drugs over to league members when we land how about we go get some frozen pizzas for us to gorge on for our first successful team mission." I offered.

Basically, everyone except for Superboy happily agreed to my suggestion but even with his grouchy denial of wanting to celebrate he promised to have some pizza with us.
