A Family that suffers together, stays together... maybe?

When the trio went out of the room, they were surprised to see the luxurious designs of the floor.

"Brother, what is this gate?" Somnus asked as Noctis pressed the down button.

"An elevator, it would speed up going down to the ground level." Noctis answered.

"How?" Somnus felt curious, although he could just jump and before hitting the floor, enter the shadows to land safely, he was curious as to what the elevator do.

After seeing the TV, Somnus became curious of the technological advancements of this world so he let his brother explain and he would ask questions about the things he was curious about.

"You'll see in a little bit." Noctis vaguely said.

The 'gate' opened and Noctis came in and motioned the two to follow him. When the two entered, Noctis pressed the close button and pressed the ground floor. Somnus and Regis were immediately alert after feeling the swaying of the elevator. It was such a weird feeling for the two but not for Noctis.

When they entered, a lot of people who are waiting in front of the elevator looked at Regis and Somnus weirdly.

'Ahh... I knew I should've given them a crash course of what to expect and see. That was too hasty of me.' Noctis sighed as he glanced at the duo who are sitting on the ground, trembling.

Noctis helped them up and lead them out of the hotel.

"B-Brother, what was that?! I-Is it like teleporting to another place? Is this how space mage feels like when teleporting?" Somnus asked while holding his voice down to ensure no one would be able to hear him but the two.

"No. That was just a contraption using a pulley, you know, the one they used to carry big stones back in Lucis. But this one is made of machine and was way faster than people doing it." Noctis said and Somnus nodded his head like a chicken.

When they got out of the hotel, a whole new world smashed Somnus' perception of technological advances. Several boxes with wheels moved forward and were even fast. That kind of box when brought over to their world would definitely kick carriage out of competition, in fact there won't be competition at all.

Somnus and Regis finally knew why he said their clothes would make them stick out like a sore thumb. The people's clothes greatly differs from them, they were currently wearing the royal clothing while Noctis is still on his adventurer's outfit. Noctis didn't really mind it so he dragged the astonished duo to a male clothing store.

He bought some casual outfits for the three of them. Somnus and Regis felt uncomfortable at first but Noctis told them to endure. The saleslady was enthusiastic at recommending them outfits but they really didn't care.

After buying their clothes, it was now time to buy the women's clothes. On the way, Somnus would ask the things that interested him. Even the automatic sliding doors fascinated him. In his mind, this world, this world is the future he wanted for the kingdom but Noctis told him to wait and adjust first to modern living before planning to do his thing.

"I presume you all know their sizes?" Noctis asked the two of them who nodded.

"For them, we only need to buy one casual outfit. Then we should let them buy their own clothes. That would be for the better." Noctis said to them.

"Who'll be guiding them?" Regis coldly asked and Somnus inhaled sharply.

"What are you talking about? When a family member is suffering, shouldn't they help lift the burden?" Noctis said staring at the two of them.

"Son, your father has only limited time left, let me enjoy my remaining time in peace." Regis said trying to back out.

"Father, don't worry, there are ingredients here that could extend your life, especially if you gain gourmet cells." Noctis countered, trapping his father in a dilemma.

"Brother, I think I should just stay so that I can examine the things in that hotel we're staying." Somnus gave a lousy excuse.

"Don't worry little brother, you still have lots of time to examine those after we get back from buying things. Besides there are lots of things that you could see outside that aren't available in Lucis." Noctis said and Somnus can't think of an excuse to back out.

Seeing that they are now trapped with him, he bought casual clothing from the women's section and a pair of sandals. Somnus, Noctis, and Regis are carrying a lot of bags as it was their clothes and one of the bag contains their partner's clothes.

"Don't worry, I will show you the glory of stockings and lingerie later. Once you see them wear it, there's no going back." Noctis said with a perverted smile, seeing his goofy smile, Somnus and Regis thought it should be a good thing... at least.

After going back to their hotel room, they saw the ladies talking and laughing with each other. They then dropped the shopping bags that they bought for themselves and gave the ladies their pair of clothes.

"Is this... it?" Hera coldly asked as she stared at the bag she is holding.

"No, no, no, dear, the plan is to let you shop for your own clothes since we don't know what you want." Regis said as he averted his crisis.

"Anyway, dress up and let's have a meal first. I'm starving." Noctis said and they looked at him.

"We have already eaten lunch, you should go by yourself. Its not like you're going to take long, right?" Hera asked her son.

"Sure, I have some business in here anyway." Noctis replied.

Before he left the room, he taught them how to operate the things inside the room, like the TV and Air conditioner. Seeing Somnus acting like a caveman in front of the Air conditioner made Noctis chuckle. The genius inventor in his world, turned into a caveman, if anyone who knows Somnus see his situation right now, they would surely be dumbfounded.

Taking his mind off of it, he went to the top level to eat. He sold them a few more batch of Honeyblood causing him to be treated as a VIP in the restaurant.

As Noctis was eating, a familiar figure came towards him, holding a briefcase.

"Mr. Johannes, Its nice to meet you again. Don't just stand there, come, sit. Order anything you want." Noctis said as he greeted Johannes in front of him.

"Mr. Noctis, it seems like you have already finished your mission." Johannes said to Noctis.

"Yes, indeed. A GT robo indeed invaded the 8th biotope." Noctis said as he showed Johannes a metal ball.

"Mr. Noctis what is that?" Johannes asked.

"That's the GT robo who invaded the biotope. Well, it didn't last long though." Noctis replied while chuckling.

"I-I see. Anyway, President has a request for you, Mr. Noctis. O-of course there will be benefits." Johannes said as Noctis listened to Johannes.

"I'm listening." Noctis replied.

"Biotope 1's gourmet research facility." Johannes said. He didn't really know but Ichiryu just told him to tell him that and he should get what he's hinting.

"Hm? For what?" Noctis asked.

"Mr. Toriko is on the way to capture the puffer whale but Mr. President doesn't think he can do it yet." Johannes said.

"So he wants me to babysit Toriko? Its not that I mind since they invited me but because of my business today, I declined them." Noctis said which made Johannes think for a second.

"Mr. President said that he has a bad feeling about it that's why he requested for you." Johannes said.

"I see. As long as Toriko returns safely then all is good right?" Noctis asked.

"Basically... yes." Johannes nodded his head.

"Alright, I got it." Noctis thought of sending his family to test them out specially his parents since he is sure that the duo would love to travel in this world.

"Thank you, Mr. Noctis." Johannes heaved a sigh of relief after hearing Noctis' confirmation. He then stood up and left and Noctis didn't stop him.

'I should give my parents some kind of protective artifact. I still don't have long term plans on this world. I still have a lot of things to do and prepare back in my world and others.' Noctis thought and sighed as he continued eating like nothing happened.
