-Chapter 9: Teasing the Sorcerer of Gluttony-

"My [Hellfire Bird] vanished…". Monspeet muttered to himself. "And it didn't seem like Meliodas' [Counter Vanish] that disperses the magic power used to the surroundings. It was more like it ceased to exist or it was completely erased. It must have something to do with the magic power that spiked as my attack disappeared."

BOOOOM!!!

"Nothing's coming up. But I'm sure they must be dead". Galand said as he looked at the blood on his halberd.

…

The silence permeated the area as everyone stood there, comprehending what had happened. Not paying attention to the atmosphere, Zephyr landed back on Mama Hawk.

"That was a really strong attack. Don't you guys agree?" Zephyr asked with a smile on his beautiful face.

"What was that?! How did you do it?" Hawk questioned in shock.

"Oh? Are you guys also curious?" Zephyr inquired.

"If you don't mind explaining that is". Meliodas replied with a cheeky smile.

The others also nodded in agreement.

"Well, it's not a secret anyway, and you guys could have guessed from seeing it." Zephyr shrugged, "The ability I just used is called [Banishing Shift], and as its name suggests, it is able to banish anything, whether it's physical or magical attacks." Of course he wasn't going to tell them it's weakness and that he could potentially erase concepts. 

"It's like Merlin's [Absolute Cancel] but you can also do it to physical attacks". King commented.

"As expected of my little brother". Slader said in amazement, which Zephyr dutifully ignored.

"Hmph! Just cause you are stronger than me it doesn't mean I'll let you have my scraps!" Hawk said arrogantly.

Zephyr narrowed his eyes at Hawk as he heard what he said: "Don't worry; I have no reason to go after your scraps if I can just skin you."

Hawk's eyes widened in horror at the thought, and he quickly ran behind Elizabeth, crying, "Help me! He's going to eat me!

Elizabeth giggled and said, "Zephyr is just joking, Hawk; there's no way he would do that."

"As she said, I have no reason to do that, but I would be more than happy if you gave me permission." Zephyr said with a gentle smile.

"You're a devil! How can someone with such a face be so evil!" Hawk exclaimed in terror.

Zephyr shook his head in disappointment and, with a sagely smile, replied, "Evil and Good are subjective. Everyone has both light and darkness within them. What matters is the part we choose to act on. Do you understand? Little piggy?"

"So does that mean you're actually evil! And you were just pretending to-Ow!" Hawk shouted in shock as he looked at Meliodas, "Why did you hit me?!"

"You're misunderstanding what he said". Meliodas replied with his hand supporting his head.

"But it doesn't mean I can't be evil, so he isn't really wrong." Zephyr smiled as he looked at Meliodas.

"See! I was right!" Hawk said with his nose pointing upwards.

"You really do say some wise words for a young fairy." Merlin spoke up as she narrowed her eyes.

Not minding her suspicions, Zephyr smirked as he quipped, "And your appearance doesn't suit your old age, grandma."

Silence.

Everyone's mouth was gaping as they were left stunned by Zephyr's words.

Ignoring the rising tension, Zephyr smiled, "Hm? Why are you so quite? Did I hit a sore spot? Oh! I understand now! It's because of lo-"

Before he could finish, a translucent pink barrier covered him.

"Zephyr/ Little brother!" Slader and Elizabeth shouted at the same time.

"Merlin-" King stopped what he was about to say as he saw her expression. 

Everyone, including Meliodas, was surprised at her current appearance. Even though Merlin was still smiling, the same couldn't be said for the look in her eyes. They could all tell that she was really, really annoyed, so they all did what was best and took a step back.

"I'm sorry, little brother, but I can't help you on this one." Slader apologetically muttered.

"Oh? But who said I need help?" A familiar, beautiful voice made everyone look back to where Zephyr was.

"As expected, you can even erase [Perfect Cube]. Merlin muttered.

"Little Merlin~," Zephyr called out, making both Meliodas and Merlin raise their guard. 

Zephyr continued walking, not minding their vigilance, and stopped in front of Merlin. A teasing smile adorned his face as he said,

"Did you think your little box could stop me?Fix the problem with your body, and then we can have some fun."

Everyone was once again dumbfounded at Zephyr's display and ambiguous words. Ever since he appeared, he just kept giving them one surprise after another! Whether it was stopping the attack of a commandment or making the calm Merlin lose her cool.

"Aye~ Is that a blush I see, little Merlin? What could you be thinking for you to blush like that?" Zephyr innocently asked "It couldn't be that you misunderstood what I said, right? By 'fun' I meant magical experiments, and there's no way someone like you would misunderstand, right?" Zephyr taunted with a wide smile.

Seeing the mocking smile on his face made Merlin feel annoyed, something she hadn't experienced in a very long time. 'He even knows my real appearance, there's no way he called me little and old coincidentally'.

Zephyr couldn't help but chuckle as he saw her irritated expression. He was enjoying this a lot. Seeing that she was about to attack again, he quickly leaned close to her ears and whispered something to distract her.

Merlin's eyes widened at what he said. She turned to ask him how he knew, but he had already walked into Boar Hat.

"What did I just see?" Hawk said, asking the million-dollar question that was on everyone's mind.

"Hm? L-lady Merlin? Is everything alright? I just saw a woman with green hair…" A youth who with messy orange hair and a long cowlick that falls over the right side of his face came out of the tavern.

"Oh? Arthur? You're awake? How are you feeling?" Merlin asked in surprise and worry.

(A/N: I forgot to introduce Arthur and Gowther so I'm just going to make it so that they were resting in one of the rooms of Boar Hat. I hope you don't mind and understand.)

"I'm fine now, thanks for worrying. But…"

"I'll explain to him about you, but before that we need to talk about Diane's situation". Merlin said, reminding everyone of their primary objective.

While thinking about the person he had just met, Zephyr opened the door to his temporary room, just to be greeted by something soft on his face.

"Master! Are you okay?" Daji's seductive voice rang in his ears, but instead of the normal playfulness, he sensed…concern? Along with curiosity and confusion.

'Well I guess she must've realised that she's not in her world' Zephyr thought to himself.

"I'm fine, it was just small burns. But never mind that, don't you want to ask me something?"

Daji released the hug she was giving her master allowing him to sit on the edge of the bed. She stared at his androgynous face for few seconds before sighing, "Where are we?"

"Another world". Zephyr replied straight away as he stared into her eyes.

"I see…I thought as much". Daji uttered without much surprise.

"You're not going to ask me how? Or even question me about other worlds?" Zephyr asked curiously.

"Will master tell me~".

"No I won't". Zephyr grinned, and signaled her by patting his lap.

Understanding his intention, Daji smiled seductively as she walked and sat on his lap and wrapped her arm around his neck.

"I won't tell you how I summoned you, but I can tell you that other world's exist and that we will be visiting them in the future". Zephyr explained while feeling up her delicious looking thighs.

Daji's eyes lit up when she heard what he said, visiting other worlds…Something that she would of never thought was possible or even stop to think about.

"We will be leaving for another world tomorrow or the day after". Zephyr added after sensing her excitement.

"Oh? That fast? I thought it would take some time~". Daji said in surprise.

"It happens in an instant. As for the reason why we're leaving fast, it's because I am weak. I cannot protect Lazuli and Seraphina in this world with my current strength, so I'm going to train". Zephyr said with a serious expression.

Daji was surprised at Zephyr's confession of his weakness. Usually majority of men would never admit their own weakness due to their pride or fragile egos. So seeing him openly admit his own weakness made her have a higher opinion of him. If he was like those young masters that were famous in her home country(China) then she wouldn't think twice before scheming against him.

And the fact that he never mentioned her when he said protect made her realise that he still doesn't trust her , even when he is feeling her up.

"Daji, I will need your help". Zephyr said bringing her out of her musing.

"Oh? What type of help~? Is it about this~?" Daji smiled teasingly as she grabbed his dragon.

"No. It's about your illusion ability". Zephyr replied as he moved her hand away.

"What about it~?" Daji asked.

"I'll need you to use your illusions to alter our appearances depending on where will be in the next world. Can you do that?" Zephyr inquired as he gazed into her eyes.

"Naturally~. Such a thing is easy for this lady~".

"Good. Then I'll leave it up-to you to cover the girls' wings and ears". Zephyr said with a kind a smile that enraptured Daji.
