Chapter 47 The End
"let's go" she said as she walked towards the forest.
It took her only a minute to exit the village and enter the forest, the dragons flew behind her. Even they knew what was about to come. Marianna was pissed. She wanted to kill hi, to end him, to remove him off the face of the planet and let his existence be completely forgotten about.
This wasn't like the past. He hadn't abused her like her father. She hadn't gone to war with him. And she wouldn't Stab him in the chest before cutting off his head. What she was about to do was for different reasons, pure revenge. For putting her baby daughter in danger, for trying to take her. For trying to use seraphina to take the continent. For trying to kill her. For nyx dying, for taking and merging with nyxs body.
Yeah what she was about to do was for revenge. She wished to look in his eyes as she executed him like the criminal he was, and she would.
Finally tonious was in sight and back into his ugly human form.
Marianna walked up to tonious pissed as can be. The dragons directly behind her "Ignis" she said allowing the 3 dragons to open fire on him. But unfortunately nothing. he was now part dragon, and dragons could not be killed by their own fire.
"So this is how we meet marianna" he said with a taunting smile. "isnt this exactly what you wanted" she replied as she stood across from him, roughly 20 feet away. "This ends here tonious" she told him "your right it does" he said. "Oh how ive been waiting for this day" he said with a psychotic smile as His body suddenly began to morph into the dragon he mixed with himself. What was once her beloved nyx had become him and it broke her heart to see. "And you call yourself human" she said "i swear to the gods ill kill for all the sins you committed" she told him. "YOU THINK YOU CAN DEFEAT ME I AM NO LONGER A HUMAN. I HAVE TRANSCENDED INTO A GOD, A DRAGON WITH MAGIC, I AM MORE POWERFUL THEN EVEN YOU" he yelled in his new dragon form. "WITH MY NEW POWER ONCE YOUR DEAD I CAN RULE BOTH DRAGONS AND THE WORLD AND THERE WILL BE NO ONE WHO CAN STOP ME" he continued. "I AM THE KING NOW" he said.
"There is one thing you didn't consider tonious" she said. "I was nyxs heart" she continued. And now you hold her body's heart in your own body" she said. "Which means you and I are also now connected" she continued as he looked at her as if she was crazy.
"There is a reason why I am called the Princess of Dragons, tonious" she said as her eyes began to give off a green glow. "Because when A royal commands her subjects they must listen" she told him. "NOW KNEEL" she yelled. His head hit the ground as he forcefully bowed to her. "WHAT IS THIS" he yelled angrily. "This is your Ending" she told him. "This is where you die for all the crimes you have committed" she continued. "And because of your own stupidity I now have the ability to command whatever I wish from you and you will have no choice but to listen" she said.
"YOU... TONIOUS TOIN ARE SENTENCED TO DEATH BY BEHEADING" she yelled.
"Cedric do it" she said turning to Cedric, who came out from behind the trees. Tonious tried to get up but was unable. "I DID NIT SAY YOU COULD STAND" she said her eyes still glowing green. Cedric used his magic and created a large axe. Large enough to cut off even a dragons head. Cedric used his magic holding the axe above tonious's head. Marianna stared into his eyes and watched the fear continue to build. "Death to the king" she said then Cedric dropped the axe on his neck, cutting off his head and separating it from his body, then causing it to turn back to human. But only for a moment.
His head and body, began to burn, slowly falling apart before turning to ash.
Finally it was over.
Marianna fell to her knees as drazyn, storm and blizzard landed behind her. Cedric ran to her. "Are you all right?" Cedric asked kneeling to her. "Who else must I be forced to kill before we can all be happy?" She asked "how much more must I become a monster in order to survive?" She asked holding her head down.
Cedric used his hand and put it under her chin lightly lifting it, so he could look her In the eyes. "You are no monster" he said. "You are a queen" he added. "One who will do anything to keep those she loves safe" he told her.
He stood up then held his hand out to her. "Let us get seraphina and go home" he said. Marianna nodded as she slowly took his hand "yes let us" she said as she stood up.
Marianna and Cedric went back for seraphina and quickly left for the capital.
And just as quickly as before 3 years passed.
Marianna Asked helon to become seraphinas nanny, she thought helon would be a great role model for her. And helon graciously accepted.
Cedric officially married Marianna, becoming her consort while still running his duchy. Though the nobles weren't very fond of the idea. Marianna convinced them very quickly with the help of drazyn. And though both Theo and Cedric continued to fight for mariannas love she made sure to add some ground rules.
Salana became the grand Duchess of Angeria. And decided that she would not marry anyone. She also became seraphinas God mother.
queen Lillian she decided she would hand geria to marianna once she died adding it to what had become the Sengrid Empire in honor of Victoria and Arthur Mariannas siblings.
And as for Marianna, she decided to sever her tie with drazyn. That way if she were ever to die, he could continue to live. And even though their ties were severed and she was no longer her heart he stayed by her side protecting her.
"Mama, mama" Seraphina said excitedly as she ran to her mother. "When is baby coming?" She asked very soon my sweet" she said. She was now 7 months pregnant with cedrics child. "Can you tell me a story?" Serphina asked as she climbed on her mother's lap.
"A story?" Marianna said. "What kind of story?" She asked. "The one about you and Dragons" she said very excitedly. "Are you sure Sera, that's a bit of a scary one" she told her daughter. "Yes, yes that one" she said. "Alright" marianna told her.
"Dragons.... a species said to be long extinct" Marianna began "A species some believed to have never existed at all" she continued.
"I also believed that. I had a slight hope they were real but at the same time I assumed it impossible. That was until one day, I found 2 eggs" she said tapping seraphinas little nose.
