A Dragon's Perspective

[From Trashy Noble to one of the Most Revered...] "So here I am, the First Son of the High-and-Mighty Noble Dragon House, with a plan so brilliant it’s stupid: screw the heir’s mantle and kick back with a life full of leisure, money, and women. But here's the kicker—I had no damn clue that during my drunken blackout, I got zapped into the friggin' novel (The Dragon King's Second Son Is A Villain) I once skimmed. Turns out, the character I’ve become was meant to die early on. Great. My lazy-ass plan just flipped the script. Now, instead of living easy, I’m a walking Calamity Magnet, scrambling to survive in this godforsaken world. Talk about ironic bullshit." "I'll carve out my own path, even if it means dealing with all the Bullshit that comes with it." ________________________________ ●Magic Castle- 10 Extra chapters (RIP my Sleep Schedule) [THE DISCORD IS UP AND RUNNING COME SHOW SOME LOVE... MY SON IN POLITICS? WHAT A JOKE!

Lady Jade stood in the grand hallway, the evening light filtering through the tall windows, casting a warm glow on the polished floors.

She spotted Mira passing by and called out to her.

"Mira, come here for a moment," Lady Jade's voice was firm but gentle.

Mira approached swiftly, her head slightly bowed. "Yes, Lady Jade? How can I assist you?"

Lady Jade studied Mira's face, trying to gauge if there was any hidden knowledge behind those calm eyes.

"Tell me, Mira, might you know what Diaval and Sir Eldric are or have been planning? Have you heard anything unusual going on around the house that I should know about?"

Mira hesitated for a moment, choosing her words carefully.

"Lady Jade, I haven't overheard any specific plans from Master Diaval and Sir Eldric.

However, I did notice them having a very animated discussion earlier this morning before they left in the carriage. They seemed quite secretive."

Lady Jade's eyes narrowed slightly, her curiosity piqued.

"And what about the household? Any unusual activity or conversations among the staff?"

Mira shook her head.

"Nothing out of the ordinary, my Lady. The maids and servants are carrying out their duties as usual. However, there has been some chatter about a new piece of land Sir Eldric mentioned in passing."

Lady Jade sighed, clearly not entirely satisfied but knowing Mira was being truthful.

"Thank you, Mira. Keep your ears open, and let me know if you hear anything more. I have a feeling there's something significant they're planning."

Mira nodded respectfully. "Of course, Lady Jade. I will inform you immediately if I learn anything new."

As Mira turned to leave, Lady Jade's mind raced with possibilities.

She knew her son and Sir Eldric well enough to sense that whatever they were up to was important. She would have to stay vigilant and perhaps do a bit of investigating herself.

Lady Jade sat at a beautifully adorned white table in the garden behind the mansion.

The table was elegantly crafted, its delicate legs carved with intricate patterns of vines and flowers.

The surface was polished to a gleaming finish, reflecting the vibrant colors of the rose flowers that surrounded it.

The roses, in full bloom, filled the air with their sweet fragrance, creating an atmosphere of serene beauty.

Nearby, a small pond with crystal-clear water added to the tranquility, its surface dotted with lily pads and the occasional ripple from a passing fish.

As she sipped her tea, Lady Jade pondered the recent events.

The involvement of land was typical for Sir Eldric and her husband, Valtor.

They often discussed such matters, being deeply entrenched in the politics and economics of the province.

But Diaval? That was unusual. Her son had never shown an interest in such responsibilities.

"Diaval isn't one to take on such tasks," she murmured to herself, the steam from her tea rising gently in the cool morning air.

"He's always been more carefree, more interested in his own pursuits than the intricacies of land ownership."

She thought back to Diaval's childhood. He had always been more interested in exploring, reading about ancient legends, and practicing his swordsmanship than in the mundane details of politics and land management.

"He loathes politics," she continued, her fingers idly tracing the rim of her cup.

"And owning land requires a level of commitment and interest in governance that he's never displayed."

Another thought struck her. Diaval had never been one for the formalities and the constant social maneuvering that came with land ownership.

"He's always avoided the dinners, the meetings, the endless conversations about crops and borders. It's not his world."

Lady Jade shook her head, trying to make sense of it all.

"And then there's the matter of his temperament. He's more of a dreamer, more focused on personal freedom than the responsibilities that come with managing land."

She sighed deeply, placing her cup on the table and looking out over the garden.

The roses swayed gently in the breeze, their vibrant petals catching the light.

"Why would Eldric involve him in this? And why would Diaval agree to it?"

As she pondered these questions, more doubts surfaced.

Diaval had never been one to enjoy the company of bureaucrats and landowners. The endless discussions, the negotiations, the subtle plays for power – it all seemed so out of character for him.

"And then there's the practical side," she said, almost laughing at the absurdity.

"Diaval barely manages to keep his own chambers in order. How could he possibly handle the complexities of land ownership? The administration, the finances, the people – it's a world he's never been part of."

Lady Jade leaned back in her chair, her gaze drifting to the pond where a fish broke the surface, creating ripples that spread outwards.

"There must be something more to this," she concluded.

"Something I'm not seeing."

She resolved to keep a closer eye on her son and Sir Eldric.

Whatever they were planning, it was clear that it involved more than just a simple land transaction.

And she intended to find out exactly what it was.
