How Did You Find Me?

Lavender laid down next to Kreznik and rested her head in the crook of his neck. "I'm glad you're mine too. I love you. With all my heart."

She may as well have stabbed him in the heart for all the impact her words had on him. She loved Nick with all her heart. And he was just a replacement for him. 

"I love you too," he said quietly. 

He meant it this time. He truly did. He loved her and he wished that she loved the real him back even though he knew it was impossible. 

Lavender began kissing him and he kissed her back just as desperately as he had earlier. As if he could kiss his negative feelings away. He just wanted to feel her love for him right now even if it was fake.

Time went on but Kreznik's guilt didn't really go away. At least he was fairly well distracted most of the time. As Ash grew, he began getting into things. He and Sage together could be quite a handful when they wanted to be.
