Stepmom

Ji"Wake up you lazy fellow! Jake's stepmom yells at his doorstep. He close his eyes placing his hands on his ears to prevent her stepmom's voice from reaching him she's been like this, he's used to it.

Jake Katz, 18 years old, apex 1.7, brown in color, has a long black strand, he's short but burly, like working out, he's good at dancing, he's agile, and got good stamina he's

mom died when he was 10, and his father remarried just a few months after her demise. He's been occupied to even notice his own son's anguish, his stepmom has been treating him

badly since she was brought into the house, he tried his best to talk to his papa but he reckoned him saying that he was just being silly.

Jake wakes up goes to the bathroom and washes his face and brushes his teeth, then changes into something casual to be relaxed in.

He has a long way to go in his search for toil, this has been his routine for months now whenever he's not in school he rather spends his day searching for work than staying at home.

After he gets ready he opens his door to meet with his mom standing there just waiting for him to get out.

Out of respect, he decided to greet her, which he regrets immediately, his mom brawl at the spot where Jake is standing.

The only reason the froth didn't touch him is that he saw it coming so he moved fast.

"Keep your hellos to yourself you useless boy and get out of my way! the woman screams at him.

Even though he has gotten used to these words it's still hurt so much to listen to a woman that is supposed to love and treat him with love utter such filthy words at him.

He just bows and continues with his walk out of the house, he said hello to his younger sister Beckie, and she runs towards him with a tight hug.

She is the only person who cares about Jake in the house, they smile at each other after breaking the hug and say goodbyes.

"Good luck brother, I'm sure today will be a good day you will surely find work! She tells happily.

Jake nods and walks along.

"This so-called brother of yours is cursed, stop praying for him to get a job because that will never happen, he's been looking for work, and after getting it he just quit just because of some stupid reasons.

His mother speaks which makes him stop on his step placing a hand on his trunk, attempting to stop the pain from showing.

He runs out not wanting to listen to any other word, blinking his tears in, he doesn't wish for pity from people.

So he straitens his posture and keeps a smile on his face. The search for work proceeds for a long period, but he's not victorious, it's almost noon but nothing has happened.

He's exhausted and decides to take a rest before proceeding with his search, he strolls for a while darting for a place to sit down and just loosen up.

After a few minutes he comes across a bench on the side of the street, he sits down, but then he feels thirsty, he checks his pocket for some money, and he finds some coins that can be enough to buy water.

He stands up checking if the road is clear, he then crosses the other side of the road, buys water, and was planning on going back to the bench, but he sees another bench on the side he's in.

He begins walking towards the bench with a bottle of water in his hands, as he's walking a kid bump into him and he almost stumbles down.

He checks both sides to see if someone is coming after the boy, but there is no one around, soon a huge man and a woman come running after the boy.

The moment the kid sees them coming, he hides behind Jake like he's scared of them. soon the guy approaches them asking the kid to go with him.

Jake stands up hiding the boy from the man, asking them to stay away from the kid.

"that's my boy! The man shouts at him.

For a moment Jake freeze glaring at the guy still stunned.

"Why would your son run away from you, huh, stop lying if you don't want me to call the cops on you!

He asks the man his eyebrows raise, he can't put two together, why would this kid be running away from his father?
