It took about an hour for Clark to return to the farm which was much like Leonardo predicted. Which showed that Clark was capable of restraint since he was sure Clark heard Raya speaking and probably wanted to rush back. Not to mention or rather Clark probably doesn't want to admit it, since learning to fly, Clark felt trapped riding in a truck or even running at times like this.
During the hour wait, Leonardo just casually chatted with Raya who tended to skirt around Krypton, Clark Identity as Kal-El or Destiny she believes he will fulfill. Each time he tried to shift the conversation in that direction, even with her straightforward personality. Leonardo learned that Raya could shift without being too abrupt and probably would fool a mass majority and even a few newish police.
Sadly, Leonardo wasn't one of those that could be fooled. He had too many tricks to read others even if they aren't human or humanoids. Hence, why even if he turns blind eyes to a few things, he will get depressed. Since it is also why he has a lot of colleagues but not many friends. Not many people like it when they are like an open book before another person.
"Welcome back, Clark." Leonardo waved. "You have a guest looking for you,who traveled a long way to see you. She says she is your long lost daughter of that night twenty three years ago."
"It's been a while since I heard you joke, but they haven't gotten better." Clark snorted before turning his head. "Raya, I am surprised you made it out of the Phantom Zone. It also means that there is one less super criminal who escaped alongside me."
Raya, who was sipping water, almost spit it out at Clark's words. Either how direct he was in stating the Phantom Zone in front of a human like Leonardo or learning a few phantoms escaped. Since she keeps sending glances between Clark and Leonardo.
"What's wrong?" Clark asked as he looked at the reaction she gave.
"Clearly she is an android and this fifth cup of water must have short circuited her out." Leonardo shrugged. "Should we open her up and see if we can factory reset her? I call seriously and carefully inspect those nice round mounds on her chest."
Seeing that Clark didn't say anything, Leonardo almost became speechless. Only he shifted his focus and saw Lana climbing out of her jeep. Before rolling his eyes and kicking Clark to get him refocused.
"I will handle her, since clearly you are still unable to face her at the moment." Leonardo huffed and headed to the door.
Upon stepping out on the porch, Leonardo frowned at the brunette girl who was walking closer. While he felt she was improving before, it still put him in a slightly bad mood seeing her. Since the two were natural born enemies and wanted to fight each other every time they saw the other.
"You are not welcome here." Leonardo said.
"I'm here to see Clark." Lana snorted as she saw him.
"He isn't here right now. Right now he should be on his way to the set for filming." Leonardo lied easily.
"Filming? No, you lie since I know he just came back from class." Lana glared at him.
"Yes filming, he was accepted as the main star of the film. Prince Charming and the Seven Horny Witches." Leonardo casually said.
While making a mental note to send an idea like that to Aurora later for her to put into storage. Leonardo also rapidly began to create a plot line for a book to write. If nothing else, it would be pretty funny to see his fans react at writing such a piece.
Clearly Lana was still a bit pure since she blushed a bit at such words, though that was quick to change due to anger. How she made it through highschool or even this far into life after it without hearing such things. Leonardo could only give her praise for such a shelter inducing lifestyle.
"This is why I dislike you, you can never be serious." Lana grumbled. "I don't see how the police can tolerate you."
"Careful, I might be motivated to investigate your latest boytoy or is it boyfriend? I wonder how many dirty little secrets I could dig up on Lex that he can't talk or pay his way out of." Leonardo smiled as he leaned on the railing.
"Lex doesn't have such secrets." Lana replied confidently. "Now can I see Clark."
"Nope, he is talking to the mother of his three year old child. He had such a wild night three years ago and now it's time to collect the debts." Leonardo lied without batting an eyelash.
Lana just stood there, mouth hung open as she began to stutter before rage boiled over the breaking point.
"How dare he. He was mine." Lana screamed before she paused realizing what she was doing.
"You two weren't dating and I was joking. If Clark really had such a daughter, we wouldn't be here but probably head deep trying to plan a late wedding." Leonardo shrugged.
He really liked seeing Lana trip over herself even if she was standing still. Not to mention how much it filled him with joy at breaking her routine of petty tricks. Yeah, coming here clearly she was up to something since Clark wasn't going by the script she thought he would. The news of her dating Lex Luther spread and the latest news is she is thinking of moving in with him.
"Are you going to let me see him or not?" Lana stated again.
"I wasn't joking when I said he was busy." Leonardo replied. "When was the last time you visited your therapist?"
"My therapist said I was fine and didn't need to see her for a while. Even so it's not your business if I see her or not." Lana snorted with a proud look.
'Ah, that explains so much.' Leonardo thought.
If there is no trace of Lex Luther behind the scenes, then Leonardo felt Lana's therapist needed a new job. Clearly she wasn't very good at her job since Lana quickly reverted back into her teenage self that could never be satisfied. She could be given the world or the knowledge but it would never be enough.
"Well, as long as you're happy with yourself," Leonardo shrugged. "Now please leave. We don't need your new boyfriend misunderstanding something with you being here."
Lana just glared at him before she stomped her foot and left. Leonardo turned around and entered the house where Clark was lightly chatting with Raya, but his focus seems to be on the door. While Raya just gave a slightly confused look.
"Clark's toxic ex-girlfriend." Leonardo replied lightly.
"She isn't that bad." Clark lightly defended. "We had a few ups and downs, but Lana is a nice person deep down."
"How much digging do you need to reach it?" Leonardo snorted. "Well anyways, try not to meet her privately too much or on the Farm. The body guards she doesn't believe she has are keeping an eye on her. If Lex learns of such a meeting, he will think the worst and who knows how he will react."
Clark just lowered his head and nodded. While he felt terrible about accepting such words, he knew Leonardo only had the best intentions for him. Something he learned and the few times he disobeyed caused him pain be it physical or emotional.
"Is she really that bad?" Raya asked.
"She isn't as good of a person as Clark wants to believe, but not as bad as I make her sound. Truth is she is just an ambitious girl who wants to know everything and only wants truths. Hence, she is fairly easy to manipulate since she would follow if someone pretends to offer her only truths." Leonardo recounted. "She also has a strong hatred for aliens and meta-humans."
"Is she seven?"
Those were Raya words which made Clark lower his head while Leonardo busted out laughing. It was true that most of Lana's actions were a bit childish, since she matures in a few aspects but others not so much. However, this was the case with most people, but after all the near deaths and adventures. Lana should be slightly more mature compared to others.
"Well, she is a young adult that wants to turn a blind eye to the world around her." Leonardo shrugged.
