Beyond Him

Alex moved a bit from his usual position, he didn't like how close Klein was to him and secondly, he didn't like how creepy he looked. But that was when Arthur spoke up.

"You'll have to feed him your blood, don't forget," he said to Alex who raised his brows.

"I never asked you to turn anyone into a demon! I don't have the blood to be shared around," he replied with a frown that spread on his small face.

"The deed has already been done. Do it now or he'll go around attacking any student he sees, you would not want that to happen, right?" Arthur said and asked him.

"I really don't care about the others as long as he doesn't hurt Rap—" Alex was about to complete his statement when he raised his head and didn't see Klein next to him again, rather, he was standing close to Raphael who had his eyes closed as he was still healing. He looked and saw Klein mumble the word 'blood' and his hands clenched into fists. "Darn it!" He grunted and rushed over in his demon speed.

Before Klein could bend down to Raphael's height, Alex came and dragged him up by the collar and then flung him to a wall. Some noise was created at the impact which attracted the monster to him. But as the monster got near him, ready to attack, Klein summoned his sword and flames formed on his shoulders which then flowed down until they engulfed his sword. With the flame sword in his hand, he waited for the right time to take action and when it came, he drove the sword into the monster's belle. The flames began to spread until the whole inner body was covered in flames, and then the flames also began to spread outside and started to burn the monster. It let out a loud noise as the whole flames engulfed both inside and outside of the body. Another monster rushed to its companion and touched it, but as soon as the monster touched the one covered in flames, it also ended up catching fire as some of the flames spread out to its body.

Alex watched what was going on in shock, how Klein had singlehandedly defeated and killed two monsters. This did hurt his pride because he couldn't defeat even just a monster. Now, there were only two monsters left going around and if care was not taken, Klein would also defeat him, he couldn't just allow him to take all the glory so instead of going to help him, he diverted and began to head towards the monster.

"Alex! Stop right!" Arthur yelled from his void space. "You are too weak to fight, going against those monsters is like asking to be killed!" He added

in an angry yet worried voice.

"What do you know? Tsk! Get lost!" Alex grunted and Arthur suddenly could not speak again.

Inside his void space, Arthur stood up and began to walk around. He had a worried look on his face yet he was angry, he was burning in rage that the air around him was chilling. "How could he be this stupid!" He groaned in anger. "I need to do something," he said and tried to take over Alex's body but each time he did that, a barrier pushed him back to his void space. "What? He also created a barrier to hinder me from coming out as I please?" He mumbled with a look of surprise. "If this is the case, he's going to die!" He muttered and fell to his chair. With a sigh, he said. "If he's going to die, that means I'll also die along with him... This isn't what I planned initially but right now, I am as powerless as a human because I'm inside him. I can only wait for my death."

Meanwhile, on the outside, Alex had gotten to where one of the monsters was. He stretched out his arm and placed it on the monster, before the monster could react, he mumbled the word ' shrink' to it and it began to dry up until the whole body shrank. He went to the next monster and placed his hand on it again and mumbled ' pulverize' to it, a bright light flickered from his palms and touched the monster, and seconds later, the monster blew up into tiny particles.

After that, Alex fell to the ground. He had consumed all his energy and nothing was left to even stand. But he had accomplished what he wanted to and this made him satisfied. While he was still on the ground, he remembered Klein and turned to where he was initially but he didn't see him there, he glanced around the hall until he saw him approaching one of the students lying on the ground. As he approached the student, he kept mumbling "Blood, blood," as he went.

Alex gritted his teeth in anger and forced his feet up, after standing up, he gathered some energy and rushed again in his demon speed to where Klein was, and when he got there, he pulled him away from the student who was breathing faintly. Klein tried to get up and move to the student again, but Alex was holding him.

"Stop!" Alex commanded him and he abruptly stopped struggling and calmed down. Seeing that he was calm already, Alex sighed and then raised his hand and placed his wrist on Klein's mouth. "Drink it!" He said to him and Klein rushed and grabbed his hand, bit down inside his wrist, and began to suck his blood. As he did that, Raphael who was now able to move stood up and began to walk towards them, although he wasn't completely healed up.

As Klein sucked Alex's blood, his eye color returned to normal and he soon came back to his senses. Just after he finished sucking the blood, his fangs went back, and when he wanted to thank Alex, he saw that he had already fallen to the ground. Klein rushed and carried him up, a look of worry on his face as he stared at Alex.

"Let's take him back to the dorm," Raphael suggested and Klein nodded. The two of them left the hall but unknown to them, someone was watching them. It was Senior Matt who was lying farther away from where the fight had taken place.

He saw how they singlehandedly took care of the monsters without being helped, how Alex fed Klein his blood, and other things he saw. He didn't want to conclude yet but he knew that they were hiding something from the school.

"What should I do?" He mumbled weakly. He too was severely injured and could not walk so he could only stay at that spot until someone came to help him. "I should report this to the Dean later," he concluded and closed his eyes.

Just after he closed his eyes, a figure appeared before him and placed its hand on his forehead. "You aren't going to utter a word of what you have seen to anyone," the figure said as a flash of light appeared on Senior Matt's forehead before disappearing afterward.
