"I am sorry." He profusely swore he did not mean to frighten her. "I thought it would be funny. I guess it is obvious I have a lousy sense of humor."
Of course, he noticed her panic attack as his face changed from smiling to a frown. Whatever possessed him to make fun of her vanished as he began to fret over her current agitated state.
Damnit!
He silently cursed himself for thinking that he was only trying to be charming. He supposed he was wrong. He had no business telling jokes at a time like this.
"Take deep breaths." He suggested while he returned his hands to the control wheel before moving on to the throttle lever. "And look at me."
He needed to reassure her again that she was in good hands. She was safe with him and his skills in flying. But again, how could he be so stupid?
"Why would you do that?" Jules finally turned to her with a mild accusation and anger in her eyes.
