A Challenged Man's Ascension

What if one day, you wake up and find yourself with a power that defies common sense, a power only seen in fictional stories and wielded by stupidly powerful individuals? Would you decide to uphold justice? To bring chaos and destruction? Or something else entirely? For Blake, well, he wants to do many things, but certainly not these two boring tasks. Hey, I'm a new writer. English is not my native language, so feel free to give me your opinion about the story so that I may hopefully improve my writing.

Blake the Transparent

Gentle warm embraced the citizens of the vibrant city. Welcoming a new day, the bright sun rose higher and higher as the streets and roads, brimmed with life once again.

Walking through the sidewalk, a man with a simple black t-shirt and grey pants was engrossed admiring a newly bought set of earphones. Black in colors with shades of purple lines coursing through the device. Its ergonomic form coupled with its modernistic appearance greatly pleased the current owner.

Putting the headphones on his head, he sat on a nearby bench, pulled out a phone and connected the device.

He closed his eyes, and the world disappeared.

Melody caressed the soul, and a new world came to be. Peaceful harmony formed the sea and the sky, while violent waves disturbed and destruction ensued, shaping the rough and virgin lands. A never ending circle of creation and destruction, and life sprouted.

Children of primordial concepts followed their purpose and spread.

Spreading life and death, order and chaos, renewing and fulfilling the reason they came to be.

For eons, the circle turned. For eons, it was unbreakable. But one day, the symphony stopped.

Creation agonized and destruction despaired. Perceiving the end, the children reunited and hummed the ancient symphony. A last echo spread to the world, and existence vanished.

Slowly opening his eyes, the man placed his headphones on his neck, a nostalgic look crossed his face.

'Old age truly is the bane for all music fans. System, always remind me of leaving some additional stats to include into intelligence.'

[...Affirmative]

Partially accustomed to Blake's antics, the System dutifully answered.

The man got up and continued his way to Krone High School while occasionally looking at anything arousing his interest. Following the map on his phone, he quickly arrived before a gate and observed his surroundings.

"Krone Highschool, one of the most prestigious institution of the country."

Blake voiced and he asked.

'System, do you have something that can help me infiltrate the building? And no skills, you won't scam me twice.'

[Affirmative]

[Camouflage items compiled]

Hundreds of articles were reflected into a floating screen, and Blake carefully read their description.

Blake seriously looked at the various items, his eyes squinting from time to time as he read descriptions and prices.

'Some of these items' descriptions are kind of...ominous. I feel like buying one of them will end up summoning some eldritch monstrosities.'

[No Eldritch monstrosities will be summoned]

'If horror movies taught me something, It's that touching objects named ambiguously after conceptual things is a big no no. Soo I'd rather not try my luck.'

Silencing the system with his undeniable logic, Blake chose milk in the flavor customization and bought an invisibility potion, which was then transferred to his inventory.

'System, what would happen if I buy something while the inventory is at maximum capacity?' A curious Blake suddenly asked.

[The article will simply manifest before the Host], quickly answered the system.

'Noted.'

The black haired man then walked towards a three story building and climbed the stairs. Two floors later, checking for potential pryers and finding no one, he willed to see the inventory. A few seconds later, a box sized 'hole' appeared and the man passed his right hand through it. A greenish potion came out, which the man immediately opened and consumed.

"Not bad." Blake commented as his body started to disappear. He then began moving his now transparent limbs and casually walked towards the entrance of the building. His quiet steps brought by his monstrous agility were unnoticeable by regular humans.

Passing next to oblivious individuals, invisible Blake internally blabbered.

'If I had this potion a hundred years ago, I could have easily caught a lot of pigeons at that time. I could then feed them plenty of food coupled with some 'invisible' water, and release all of them into a crowded area.

The more he neared the school, the more energized his speech became.

'Oh the beautiful scene. Imagine bringing your kids to the park during a peaceful weekend and suddenly, the sky darkens.'

Reaching the high and imposing gate, Blake crouched a little and effortlessly jumped to the other side of the entrance.

'Curiously, you look at the sky and see or rather don't see a literal army of birds looking at you as if you were their personal toilet.'

Reaching an opened window, he observed a class with approximately 20 students. Looking at the closed door of the classroom, he turned towards another opened window not far away, repeating the same actions.

'Then you hear the biological submachine guns.'

Scrutinizing every glass he came across, he finally found a classroom with an opened entrance.

'Then you see the munitions.'

With great concentration, he silently entered the room, passed next to focused students and finally reached the entrance.

'They fall from heaven, a biblical torrential rain.'

Walking though the school, he looked at designated numbers written on doors.

'And then mankind receives the wrath of the sky.'

Halting before a door with the number 25 on it, he lightly smiled. A large rectangular window was alongside the door. He peered and his 'gaze' fell onto the central actor of a particular story.

"Thus, a family's weekend would go to sh*it, literally." the man gently whispered as his creepy looking gaze revealed everything about a blond haired teenager.

'Wait does the munitions also turn invisible if the birds drink the potion?'

Blake suddenly turned contemplative at the possibility.

And before a classroom, an invisible man began theorizing about pigeons while occasionally sending glances towards a teenager. And a system was being forced to listen to the eccentric man's words.
