Chapter 2: Nanaya Kiryu

Nanaya Kiryu was also practicing the use of the 'Mystic Eyes of Death Perception'.

After all, this would be his means of livelihood in the future.

To explain this to his clan members, Nanaya Kiryu referred to it as training the 'Pure Eyes'.

The 'Pure Eyes' were hereditary in the clan—every member of the Nanaya clan possessed them, but their degree of mastery varied.

'Pure Eyes' could only be inherited by humans with high spirituality.

For Kiryu, this was a perfect cover for his 'Mystic Eyes of Death Perception'.

Interestingly, he did not experience any side effects like Tohno Shiki or Ryougi Shiki, such as eye pain or inability to control. He could use the eyes freely without any side effects, activating and deactivating them at will.

By the way, he had no parents in this world.

There was no deep-seated hatred... His parents simply met with an accident in this life.

His father fell off a cliff and died, and his mother passed away from grief after giving birth to him.

So, Kiryu was raised by other members of the clan.

"This is the Nanaya Exorcism Dagger?" Kiryu inquired.

"Indeed." The elder nodded with a smile.

Taking the dagger and touching the engraved 'Nanaya' characters on the hilt, Kiryu's expression was complex.

The Nanaya Exorcism Dagger was a hereditary treasure of the Nanaya clan, specifically meant for non-human entities.

It also symbolized a master of the Nanaya assassination arts!
