Chapter 87 - Nostalgic Moment

Misaka Mikoto, who didn't want to disturb the intimacy between her father and mother, decided to leave the small clinic where Tabigake was being treated.

Shizuka and Touma who were about to return to Hiko's villa, after walking on the beach for over an hour. And when they were about to enter the path in the small forest near the beach. Shizuka and Touma accidentally saw Mikoto who was sleeping soundly under a fairly large tree.

"I will only treat a girl gently if the girl has normal behavior like you Shizuka-san," Touma said who was not too bothered by Shizuka's words. "Unfortunately because of biri-biri tomboyish and hot-blooded behavior it impossible for me to treat her like that."

After saying that, Touma walked away from the still sleeping Mikoto followed by Shizuka who was still slightly towards Mikoto. Touma walked on the path in the small forest slowly and with a face that looked irritated, sad and angry at the same time. Mikoto presence made Touma remember a girl with almost the same character and behavior as Mikoto, namely Akane. One of his past fiancés when he was still Ranma.

Akane was the first girl he fell in love with, he loved Akane so much that he was willing to sacrifice his life for Akane when Akane was kidnapped by a phoenix god which was very difficult to beat. unfortunately, Akane's self-esteem is too high and her unwillingness to give in is too great, making Akane unable to accept herself being saved by Ranma even though Ranma had risked his life to help her.

Touma knows that Mikoto isn't Akane, but Mikoto's character that refuses to lose makes Touma always remember Akane when he sees Mikoto. That's why even when he was in Yuragi Sou, Touma always tried to stay away from Mikoto no matter what, because he didn't want to remember Akane at all.

Right now the existence of Shizuka was the only thing keeping Touma sane due to the stress that arose because he remembered Akane.

To Touma, Shizuka was like a mix of Kasumi and Ukyo. Shizuka has the gentleness and patience of Kasumi and the physical strength of Ukyo.

Kasumi is one of the people who always helped him in his past as Ranma when he needed help. Whereas Ukyo is another girl he loves with all his heart like Akane whom he might marry. If only he didn't have to be reincarnated as payment for curing his mother of an incurable disease.

"Akane didn't even look sad when he found out that Ranma had died, at least Nabiki shed tears just like me when she found out that Ranma was dead. I didn't know that Akane could be that cold, she didn't look happy when she found out that Ranma was dead.
