Calvin has been grinding slimes for the last half an hour. He managed to kill 13 slimes during that time period, raising his exp points to 70.

He learned a lot of things in the grinding session that he did.

The first thing is he learned a lot about the fighting mechanics of Genesis. The mechanics here is exactly like the real world. The damage you dealt depends on how much force the attack contained. Unlike other games where it only needs contact for the full damage to transfer, in Genesis that doesn't happen at all. This is the same when defending.

The second thing is he got better at fighting. Whether it be dodging, blocking, attacking, or footwork, he improved himself in many basic aspects of fighting.

Third, he managed to increase some of his stats during fighting. The stats that improved were his endurance and vitality. Both increased by 1. Even though it was small, Calvin already felt the changes to his body. The most obvious is his increase in health and the not so obvious is how fast can he recover from his fatigue.

This result made him trust Narasha more since she was the one who told him he can increase his stats by training.

And finally, the most important thing he gained is he could finally sense the mana inside him. During all the fights, he made sure to pay attention to the feeling of the mana moving inside him when he was using skills. After numerous attempts, he finally managed to sense the mana inside him and what he found actually surpised him for a bit.

The mana was scattered everywhere in his body. There was no center or a certain place where all his mana is. It was just like blood that was flowing all throughout him, but unlike blood which gathers at the heart, his mana has no place like that.

He was surprised by how much he was able to improve himself in just this short session of grinding. Though he guessed that the reason for this is he kept pushing himself.

Late into his grinding, he decided to fight a slime without having full HP to push himself when he thought that the fight is becoming too easy. Due to that reason, he was able to feel more pressure and improve more.

He also got quite a lot of loot. From the 13 slimes he killed, each one gave 1-2 slime gels and 2-3 copper coins each. By the time he killed them all, he got 18 slime gels and 30 copper coins. Unfortunately, nothing else dropped aside from those two so he got disappointed. He was also reminded of the fact that he forgot to loot the first slime that he killed which made him both mad and embarrassed.

Right now, Calvin is currently resting after killing the last slime. He decided to try controlling his mana and using it like how it happens when using Lacerate.

Calvin opened his eyes and sighed helplessly after failing to control his mana. "Sensing mana is already hard and now controlling it is even harder. Haahh tough life man."

Looking at his full HP, he said to himself. "I'll try again later. No point in rushing things. I'll just grind more for now."

Right as he stood up, he can't help but thought. 'Hmm? I think I'm forgetting something. But what?'

He didn't need to think long before he remembered that he forgot to turn in his quest.

"Well shit. I wasted some time grinding for more slimes." Calvin scratched his head awkwardly before shrugging. "Mehh who cares. The grinding didn't go to waste since I learned a lot so all is well. Anyways I need to hurry."

He looked at his minimap for a second to check the right way to the village. After making sure, he ran to the direction leading to it.

On his way there, a scene that made his eyes go wide in shock happened in the field outside the village.

A party of 3 players were running with all their might across the fields laughing and shouting to each other and right behind them were slimes bouncing on the ground chasing the running players. The number of slimes reached the 50s and as time pass more slimes joined in chasing the running players.

A lot of players were panicking as they frantically ran away from the group to not get caught up in the mess. Unfortunately some were too slow so the three players running managed to caught up to them. They promptly shoved the unfortunate player behind them and in no time at all they were squashed by the horde of slimes and quickly turned into a flash of light.

Calvin was dumbfounded when he saw this scene. Just as he was wondering what is going on, he heard someone shout.

"Run! Those guys are trolling us. They deliberately attracted those slimes in order to make a mess. Don't get caught up or you'll die!"

Calvin ran without a second thought at full speed to the village to avoid those dumb trolls.

A few seconds passed and he frowned when he can still hear the sound of commotion those trolls made.

He looked behind him and he started sweating as he saw those players chasing him while laughing at him. He cursed to himself and kept running without looking back.

At this time, he couldn't help but thank his high agility. He was faster than them so they never managed to caught up to him.

Just when he was relieved that they couldn't do a thing to him, he suddenly felt a force coming from his back and what followed is a piercing pain.

At the same time, a damage appeared on top of him along with the sound of a notification from the system.
