~Chapter 10~
For the next few days, the quiet boy did not see that strange blonde girl again. He didn't see her anymore for the rest of the time during which he remained at the hospital.
And thus came the end of a friendship that died before it could bloom properly.
"So you're saying that the one with whom you had a more than seven minutes in heaven, that pizza delivery guy, HE IS NONE OTHER THAN RIO SANDERS?" Emilia grimaced at Seon Hul's scream; "AND I GET TO KNOW ALL THESE NOW!?"
"Shhh. Calm down! You're gonna wake up my aunt." Emilia snuggled inside her blanket even more. She and Seon Hul always organize for a sleepover in either of their houses each week. This week the sleepover was in Emilia's house.
"How can I not shout bro? You made out with Sanders for so long in that closet that we were convinced that it have been escalated to sex! And then you also had a hot make out session in an empty classroom today as well! Omo omo OMG!" Seon Hul took few seconds to calm down.
"I know! Crazy right?"
"Ah what is crazy when that is your middle name?" The Korean girl rolled her eyes. The other girl snickered in return.
"No but seriously are really into that nerd?"
"Hmm..I don't know!" Emilia shrugged. "For what I know is that our sexual compatibility is totally at par." This earned a light slap on her shoulder from her friend.
"Aishh if you keep up that playful attitude, one day it'll cost you dearly."
"Hahaha~ as if." Emilia waved off such warning.
However, even though she had dismissed Seon Hul's warning previously, it kind of bugged her at the back of her mind. Today she didn't have any tutoring sessions with Rio, so she won't be able to see him. Emilia pouted. Somehow she'll miss that blushing face.
Then she was struck with an idea. There was no such rule that they'll have to converse and meet eyes only during their tutoring sessions! She could try interacting with him in other times also!
Emilia was faced with harsh reality when Rio started to avoid her whenever she tried to strike up a conversation with him in public. He either avoided her or runs away somewhere (boy, he can surely run very fast!) or keeps his responses to minimum. He is not like that with Luke!
Seon Hul answered when she complained to her; "Well you can't blame the guy. He is a huge introvert AND a wallflower. People barely know him! So it's obvious that he'd freak out if you approach him excluding your stipulated time."
"But we are not strangers! We made out! Two times!"
"So? You're forgetting Emilia; this is Rio Sanders not Daniel Fleabagh. Just because you made out few times doesn't mean he'll be all touchy-feely with you."
Emilia is not the type to give up when it comes to boys so she rushed out of the classroom as soon as the bell for dismissal rang. She waited for few minutes and finally caught hold of Rio who was about to run away like a deer.
"W-we do not have---"
"That's enough. You're coming with me."
Without allowing the boy to speak anymore he was dragged away by the popular blonde girl.
Unknown to everyone, a group of tall muscular boys have gathered at the back of the store room for gym supplies. They encircled a boy shorter than them and grabbed him by his orange hair; "You are the bastard who distracted Emilia from Danny isn't it?"
"No I—ackhh!" A punch landed on Luke's cheek without letting him finish.
"Then you must have done something to her! She, EMILIA JOHANNES IS HANGING OUT WITH NERDS NOW! I know it you are the one who did that. I warned you kid." Daniel bellowed, his spit wetting Luke's punched face.
"I have been telling you Fleabag---ouch!" A kick landed on his stomach by the heavy snickers of Daniel. "What was that motherfxxker?"
"I-I mean Daniel, I am not whom you are referring to! I never ever talked to Johannes! EVER!"
Daniel's another round of bellowing was stopped by a voice behind him. It was none other than that the Korean girl who always clings to Emilia.
"Beating up wrong people again I see. Honestly Daniel Fleabagh, wasn't last year's suspension enough for you?"
Daniel gritted his teeth as this no good girl bobbed his freaky pink colored hair and tried to lecture him. In fact it was because of her tattletale he got suspended last year because he beat up Kenzy Mckenra almost to death for he fucking stared at Emilia. His Emilia. Poor guy had to be hospitalized and Daniel was filed a restraining order by Mckenra's parents, the school too got him suspended. That's why he has to take extra classes for the studies that he missed during his suspension.
"I don't need lectures from you Missy miss. You can be on your merry way. This is a boy's matter." Daniel dismissed her, he didn't want her to tattletale again so he had to restrain himself from getting involved with her any further.
Daniel was about to shift his focus on Luke again but again he was interrupted, this time, by a voice recording of him beating up Luke and screaming at him. "I wonder if the principal will kick you outta this school permanently if I send him this."
"Don't. You. Dare. YOU FREAKY ASIAN!"
"Chop chop! Whatever you say now is being recorded Daniel Fleabagh."
"YOU-!"
"Daniel no…!" The rest of his cronies cried out to the enraged guy who sprinted towards the girl who had been getting on his nerves for a while. Seon Hul avoided him, made the raging Daniel run behind her like crazy all around the pool before she slipped in between the cronies who were flabbergasted at the certain turn of events, so they couldn't do much when she almost swopped away Luke from them and started to run at the direction of the school building.
"WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU WAITING FOR?? GET'EM!" The cronies ran as per orders but they were unsuccessful in catching the two for by the time they had reached the main entrance of the school, the pink haired girl had cycled off with the ginger boy behind her.
Daniel couldn't help but curse out loud at the speeding silhouette of the bicycle that seem to disappear gradually at the setting sun.
