Now He Was Even Cuckolded...

In front of a huge mansion, there was a big grassy area that went over 700 meters long. There were 10 wooden dolls set up in the ground for practice. 

The whole training area was very quiet. The only sound was the breathing of a fat black haired boy with red eyes. He was sitting cross legged on the ground, focused on reading a book. His maid was standing nearby, being very still and quiet so she didn't disturb her master.

After reading the whole book, Asuka closed his eyes for a moment, mentally reviewing the martial arts manual's contents. 

'Standing Wind' technique, which was a basic martial art used by students of the Kaito Clan, one of the 12 Great Clans. As the name suggests, it was about using the power of wind. The technique was about finding the right balance between movement and stillness, so the user could attack strongly while also defending well.

The Standing Wind technique had 6 movements/Forms..... is a balanced technique, that followed the Kaito Clan's beliefs of balance and harmony closely. 

Most Kaito techniques were focused on these two ideas, but among the basic ones that everyone in the clan have to learn, Standing Wind was the technique which followed Kaito's philosophy most closely.

Opening his eyes, Asuka once again looked at the martial arts manual, then turned to Yuna. "What grade is this manual?" he asked, sounding a bit surprised.

"Master, it is a rare grade," Yuna replied quickly.

After mana was introduced to the earth because of the opening of the rift. The martial arts which existed since ancient times. With the addition of mana ancient martial arts which were long forgotten were restructured and remodelled to take into account mana that lingered in the atmosphere, and shockingly enough the techniques that were deemed useless transformed into the most powerful moves a human could perform and which were also very effective against monster and Ends. 

Once it was discovered that with martial arts mana could be controlled and strengthened, martial techniques proved to be then another weapon of humans besides blessings. 

Expert Wardens made many new techniques based on the ancient ones.

These martial manuals then became extremely coveted and as a result, they disappeared from the public eye and were only owned by governments, guilds and powerful families.

The manuals were separated into 6 grades: common, uncommon, rare, epic, legendary and divine. 

Each grade was determined by how powerful the martial arts became upon mastery, and the difference between each grade was fairly substantial.

"Only a rare grade manual?" Asuka mumbled with a surprised frown upon Yuna's reply. He found the Standing Wind technique to seem more powerful than just a rare grade, but he couldn't really tell since he had no prior experience of this world's martial arts. This was the first time he was learning it. 

Asuka swiftly stood up, focusing his breath and loosening his grip on the katana. Bending his knees, he called out "First form - Wind Stance!"

While breathing, he channelled mana into his legs, giving him increased balance and stability.

Then he unsheathed his katana, focusing mana into it. "Second form - Wind Gale!" 

In one swift diagonal slash, Asuka released a concentrated burst of wind mana that directly hit one of the wooden dolls in front of him. Deep cuts were torn into the wooden figure.

"What? No way!" Yuna screamed in shock.

Her fat young master who had never even touched a katana before, feeling mana flow was a far-fetched idea. Yet he had suddenly performed the first two forms of the Standing Wind - considered the hardest basic clan martial art to master. He had just seen it for the first time and already achieved minor mastery.

She couldn't hide her bewilderment. It was just absurd to her.

"What's wrong? Was it not good enough for the first time?" Asuka asked with a cocky grin on his lips.

"No master, it's more than great for the first time. It's... are you perhaps a genius master!" Yuna exclaimed loudly, unable to hide her excitement.

Turning away, Asuka mumbled in a low voice, "Genius, I don't think I am anything of that sort."

'Even though I'm using a katana for the first time, it feels natural to me, like I've been using it for ages. Probably the blessings I chose are already taking effect,' Asuka thought. 

He turned to Yuna. "When is the awakening ceremony?"

"You've forgotten, Master? It's the day after tomorrow at the Black Dragon Training Grounds," Yuna replied with a concerned tone. "You still haven't registered for the 2 year Warden course either. That's why we came to America."

Because Asuka was a complete failure who never trained, he didn't qualify for any of the top guilds. 

However, the 4th-ranked Black Dragon guild was sponsored by the Kaito family, one of the 12 Great Clans. Through that connection, Asuka had a reserved seat to directly join their Warden program without any exam or qualifications.

But Asuka never wanted to become a Warden, rejecting it many times. Still, his grandfather the Kaito patriarch forcibly sent him to America anyway.

"No, I will go. I was just confirming," Asuka said firmly while looking at his katana. 

"Really, you will go!" Yuna jumped with excitement, her face showing satisfaction for some reason she seemed very happy.

Watching Yuna's excitement, a small frown appeared on Asuka's face. 'Why is she so happy about it? Why would someone care about this failure? Tsk! It's quite suspicious, but let it be for now. I'll find out later.'

Asuka walked closer to Yuna. "Yuna, does this katana have a name?"

"No, it's unnamed," she replied, confused by the random question.

"Then it will be called Silver from today. How's that?"

Yuna let out a small chuckle. "Good Master. I can see you like your new katana."

"Master! You have a guest," an old butler named Han said as he walked towards the training ground. 

Asuka turned calmly. "Oh, Han! Who is it?"

"It's your frie...ah I mean Rio," Han said in a hesitating voice.

Upon hearing his name, Yuna's expression soured. 

She and Han didn't like Asuka befriending Rio, an orphan from the streets who was also a thug. He wasn't a good influence on Asuka who was from such a prestigious family, and was part of the reason Asuka had become a delinquent.

Noticing Yuna's reaction, Asuka still chose to ignore it. "Send him here."

"Yes, Master."

In about a minute, a blue haired, pale looking boy who appeared like a street pick pocketer rushed towards Asuka.

"Asuka, you okay? I know it's hard but you have to get over it and..."

"Hey, what are you saying? What happened?" Asuka interrupted with a frown.

"Asuka, don't need to act strong. I can feel you, bro. That bitch, I'll make her pay."

"Again, what are you yapping about?"

"That gold digging bitch Ava! She cheated on you, right? I just heard from Ken. Asuka, she was just using you for your money, being from the street. We'll find you a way better woman!"
