The ground is shaking violently. With each step taken, the ground seems to come alive, shaking the "city" on its surface!
The Silvermane Guard tried their best to keep steady, but their spears shook uncontrollably. It's hard to blame them; even the ancients were known for their calm demeanor.
The stelleron's form is enormous. To harness more power, the stelleron's body expanded to nearly 5,000 meters. It's so towering that it seems to wear the white clouds as a pendant!
Every step of the stelleron's causes massive noise, affecting everyone's morale. In response, Cocolia Rand took action. She lifted a giant spear to shoulder height. With a surge of golden energy lighting up her body, Cocolia aimed to strike the stellaron dead on the spot.
With a roar, the creation engine also roared mechanically. Faster than sound, the guardian spear made of the highest purity earth marrow struck its target.
"Boom!"
A huge cloud of dust erupted at Fuli's feet. The impact was too great to see clearly, but the dragon's screams and twisted movements confirmed Cocolia's power.
"Hmph!" Cocolia snorted coldly on the Creation Engine. She raised her arm slightly, and the Creation Engine mimicked her action. From the dust at the base of the stellaron, a black light shot up into the air. In an instant, it crossed 10,000 meters and returned to Cocolia's hand.
It was a spear—the fueled by Geomarrow projected out by its handle.
With its automatic retraction feature, Cocolia could use the weapon effectively. The energy absorption system in the spear also provided surprises for the stellaron.
Cocolia lowered it and took a sweeping stance. Blue energy suddenly burst from the spear, forming a massive energy torrent that shot out toward the stellaron!
The energy that erupted came from inside the stellaron. When the spear was inserted, the energy absorption system activated, drawing in a large amount of energy and converting it into a powerful energy blast.
"Alright! Well done, Supreme Guardian!"
The series of actions boosted the morale of the Silvermane Guard, quickly dispelling any fear they had from seeing the stellaron.
The stellaron is not an easy target. The massive head in the clouds split the clouds apart as it gathered and fired an energy beam far more powerful than Cocolia's. The blast shook the sky but missed the Belobog city wall, soaring into the sky instead.
"What's this stellaron doing again?" Cocolia frowned. The energy cannon she had just used blasted a deep crater into the stellaron. But to the naked eye, the stellaron quickly absorbed particles from the air and seemed to recover instantly, as if nothing had happened.
"Cocolia!" A tired but excited voice came through the communicator in Cocolia's ear.
" Serval! How's the research on the stellaron going?"
The voice on the other end was Serval. As Belobog's top expert on stellaron, Serval was deeply involved. Thanks to the stellaron samples provided by Welt Yang, Serval had discovered how to understand and potentially control its power.
"Listen to me, the power of the stellaron comes from the planet. If you want to stop it temporarily, you need to find a way to..."
Before she could finish, a strong sense of danger pulled Cocolia's attention away.
An meteorite was falling!
"Despicable stellaron!" Cursing, Cocolia activated the creation engine. The gravity accelerator hummed silently, but the massive creation engine itself created sonic boom clouds in the sky as it sped toward the meteorite.
A flash of silver light darted through the energy meteorite. The massive meteorite, hundreds of meters wide, was soon pierced and scattered like beautiful "fireworks" in the sky.
Silver flashes erupted from the meteorite, and Cocolia inside the mech coughed up blood. The red liquid stained her collar, but her lavender eyes remained determined.
" Serval! Keep going. I was a bit occupied just now!"
"Cocolia! Are you okay? The communicator looked like it was about to blow up!"
"Idiot, if I hadn't protected this little device, it would have melted by now..."
What Cocolia did might seem simple, but it was actually very risky. Using the power of the Creation Engine and her preservation powers, she rushed into the energy meteorite at top speed, absorbed it with her Geomarrow spear, and then released the energy to create a violent reaction. This caused the meteorite to self-destruct right then and there.
Even though the Creation Engine is powerful, Cocolia is still human. There's nothing inside her body to protect her from such extreme conditions. Moving at several times the speed of sound without harm is one thing, but this situation was incredibly dangerous. Shiluva's skills and Cocolia's bad luck led to this.
Charging into the energy was like running into a fire without any protective gear. But Cocolia kept her voice strong to hide her discomfort from Serval.
"Go ahead, I'm listening!"
"Alright! The way to make the stellaron temporarily lose its power is..."
"Get him off the ground!"
"Ha! You've got to be kidding, Serval," Cocolia exclaimed, eyes wide in disbelief. The enormous shadow of the Stellaron loomed over the horizon, its towering form stretching nearly 16,000 feet into the sky, making the ground beneath them tremble with every step.
Cocolia glanced at the hulking behemoth, her mind racing. How could something so massive, so overwhelming, be brought down with such a simple plan? She couldn't help but think, What chance does such a basic maneuver have against a creature of this magnitude?
Her disbelief must have shown on her face because Serval responded. "I get it, Cocolia. It sounds impossible, even unscientific, right? But that's only because Belobog's current science can't explain it. Real science is far more intricate. You see, when people don't understand the deeper truths, they label it as divine intervention, the work of gods. But when we uncover the real mechanisms behind something, those myths fade away."
Serval pointed to the Stellaron's colossal feet, rooted deep into the ground. "Look there. Its feet aren't just for standing; they're absorbing energy from the planet itself. If we just attack them directly, it'll be useless. But if we can launch it into the air—sever its connection with the ground—we'll have a window to strike. It may still regenerate, but the process will take far longer without the planet's energy to fuel it."
Cocolia's mind whirred, her thoughts shifting from doubt to contemplation. No myths, only science. Serval's words echoed in her mind, sparking an unfamiliar realization. But just as she was about to ask more, the earth rumbled. A deep, menacing growl cut through the air, and the Stellaron prepared for another devastating attack.
