Bukimi

Yuno wakes up and she's on a bed with two doctors looking at the screen.

"I see two. We can confirm that there are two unborn children." Yuno's vision is blurred so she's sure she heard wrong. The doctors leave the room to relay the message to the High Priestess.

"Do you have the flower? She is not immortal so it will fail unless she is immortal."

"The flower was safely delivered by Madeline."

"Good. Begin the ritual I want the blood of those children and I want it now."

Yuno closes her eyes as she breaks a nail for a bit of blood she squeezes her eyes shut as she makes a small disk with the bit of blood that came out cutting the strap on her right arm as she tugs at it harder and harder so she's free.

She removes the other straps opening the door sneaking out of the room and walking around the place.

Ken stands up feeling drawn to something Rogue is still unconscious and Setsuno is too relaxed for Ken's liking.

"Relax, Roku has a plan we'll get out of here soon. He never boarded the flight none of them did."

Setsuno flinches from the glare he gets in response, "I don't care about that half pint I want to know if Yuno is safe and whether or not they have my .."

Rogue muffles Ken's last word. "Please do remember we are under the enemies roof we should watch what we say."

Ken closes his eyes focussing on Yuno's scent she's on the move and that's about all he can sense.

Saito looks around and huffs he woke up and passed out again he doesn't even have the strength to stand.

Roku bumps into Yuno and she squeals giving him a tight hug.

"Roku, where are we?"

He smiles and takes her hand. "Stay calm, we'll all be out of here in no time."

Yuno follows Roku into a room with Exorcists all in white and the high priestess.

"This Is a very dangerous ceremony Yuno you need to stay very still and trust me."

She nods as the high priestess takes her hand while Roku puts her to sleep with the two stones in hand Saito is dragged into the room for the age stone Melody gave him.

Roku channels the stone and cuts Yuno's hand.

Hiroshima interrupts the ceremony smirking Senitsu called and told him the Exorcists are going to force his son to kill and sacrifice Yuno Lin's unborn child that he failed to kill she added it was twins and gladly gave him the when and where. "Don't mind me I'm here to watch."

Roku starts chanting and keeps one hand on Yuno's forehead to make sure she stays asleep this is an excruciatingly painful procedure. The blood of the unborn children is collected into a holy water alter Roku stands up. "It is done."

Hiroshima smiles with an amused expression on his face by the time Izumi arrives he'll be too late little does he know Izumi is with the twins at Senitsu's he let Kai and the others tag along so they can stress less.

"We had a change of plans after Rogue told us they brought the highest-ranking Exorcists to find the flower it would've been suicide sending you boys out there and girl of course."

Akali looks at the twins sleeping brushing their hair, "Woah, I see patches of violet, is their hair colour changing?"

Izumi nods, "They are human and Immortal these strings delayed the process of their immortality settling in it takes time for those cells to be active.

"The colour is also changing because I loosened the restraint on their magic keeping it dormant is dangerous it's just more dangerous to let a new born immortal loose."

Sora starts kicking around his eyes opening slowly.

"They have different colour hair." Kai looks closer they have the same facial features, but different hair, "They look identical, but they're not."

Izumi shakes his head, "I assure they are, twins like these we call mirror twins they reflect each other like a mirror.

"Do keep in mind they are two different people Sora looks more like he's magically active than his brother, but I sensed a stronger magic signal from Rin this is only because I loosened the restraints unevenly.

"As they grow up you'll see it better I will remove these when they are 5 months old or if they happen to do it themselves instinctively. This whole restraint thing, it's an ancient practice of sorts great for their magic development you'll see with time."

The High Priestess takes the phoenix flower and gives it to Roku, "With this, everyone in this room will be an immortal like the first blessed with true immortality and unimaginable power. We will live forever as the most powerful branch of Exorcists. It is our time."

The people in the room look hopeful and Hiroshima narrows his eyes. Roku gives them what they want and leaves taking Yuno and Saito with him.

They find Rogue and the others and leave.

Hiroshima stands in front of the High Priestess after she drinks from her cup he knows his own son well these people are going to die, but he may have done what they want so he can save his friends.

"Drive and don't look back, my father will flatten this entire building before he let's them complete the transition." Roku drives to Tokyo walking to the Kanda shrine.

He looks for an old friend of his who lets them into the shrine and Roku takes them out back and everyone is amazed at the beautiful valley and crazy big mansion in front of them.

"Shrines are actually gates to the world where Immortals reside we call it Bukimi it's a world next to yours and you can't see it.

"After the last war rules were broken and Immortals crossed over to this side and with time it has been forgotten Japan is one of the few countries in the world with gates that still function."

Roku leads the way into the house. "The next part of the plan is on Rogue he will narrate what happened out there the way we want and that story will spread and you can bring the boys home and the others can enjoy their camp.

"We're sorry we made last minute changes without telling anyone, but it was a matter of timing."

Yuno gives Roku a tight hug, "Thank you Roku."

He hugs back, "Thank you for trusting me." S

he holds Rin pecking his cheeks repeatedly. "You can come home."

Ken sits outside with Tori and Xavier he really just wants to leave he's had enough drama to last him a life time after this he wants to make sure nothing like this ever happens again.

"I'm thinking now's the right time to fake my death, people are bound to notice I'm not aging anymore and I can tell I'm done this is as far as I go."

Roku sighs, "Yuno won't leave she would never let you either you passed up that opportunity a year ago."

"I just want to protect her and protect my sons that's all I want."

Izumi sighs. "Move to the Castle. It's the safest place in the country not to mention it's closer to the Kaminari building, fun fact there's a gate in the house so when things get dicey the boys can escape here or play in here the scariest thing they'll find here is Senitsu."

Yuno smiles, "Sounds like a plan to me."

The group arrive at the camp surprised to see other schools present the far off mountain looks really beautiful and all.

The Roman high students look like shit they left a day early and half of them left a lot of things at home lucky for Kai and his friends Tiyo and Rex are paranoid so they made sure everyone was packed the minute they came back from Bukimi.

Sin looks surprised to see the Roman high bus most everyone is surprised.

"Alright, let's get moving ladies and gentlemen you're about to be late for your first class."

Akali fully wakes up and glares at the teacher they were not given even a minute to shower it was all wake up grab your shit and get on the bus.

"Here, it's cold here." Saito offers Akali his jacket.

She smiles grateful she's even wearing his shirt because she refused to wake up until the last second.

Rogue pops up and snatches the jacket out of her hands, "Bathrooms are that way and the rest of your things that you forgot are also on their way and there's no class relax and get ready I'll show you your rooms after."

Kai sits next to Sin at the camp fire in the evening everyone was getting introduced and well acquainted with each other while the Roman high students slept all day.

"I'm surprised to see you here, are you okay? Sorry we didn't call we didn't mean to go all radio silence we had to pretend it was a prank and they swept the whole thing under the rug."

Sin nods in understanding, "It's okay I was probably going to come see you guys at the Palace sometime."

"Not possible we're under house arrest. We've been getting into a lot trouble lately and we can't tell them the truth so we'll take our punishment. I'm really sorry about putting you in danger I should've known better. I'm really sorry Kaneko."

He looks her in the eyes cupping her cheek stroking gently with his thumb.

She leans into his touch his hands are soft and cold

He leans in stopping half way looking her in the eyes, "You're a really cool girl I hope you know that maybe in another life we could've worked. You're really brave I like that about you."

"You're a really great guy too I guess we'll see in another time."

Kai smiles when she smiles his heart racing he leans in closer tilting his head to the side.

She takes his lips into hers his hand slipping to the back of her head as the rest of the world fades away and it's just the two of them lip locking as the flames dance

The fiery passion rising with the intensity of the kiss. Kai pulls away catching a glimpse of her with her eyes closed he kisses her one last time before he stands up walking to the beach where the Roman high students are isolating themselves.

Kai walks away without looking back Rex slings an arm over his shoulder Sin watches as his friends take Kai into the water to make him feel better.

Akali and Chinami are sitting on top of a tree on their phones they are allergic to socialising in general even their own classmates are too big of a social crowd for their liking.

"Think this is how we'll live for ever? It sucks having to freeze out in the cold while there's a freaking fire over there."

Akali looks up kicking Chinami off the tree and jumping down, "Let's go."

Chinami groans as he stands up walking behind Akali dusting the sand off they sit in front of the fire and she laughs as she gets the sand out of his hair.

Namiko pours some on Akali's head and the twins bury her in sand.

She phases out of it glaring at the two laughing at her. "Okay, maybe I deserved that."

Sin offers Akali some hot chocolate sitting down next to them her friend Rose sits in front of the twins smiling brightly playing a game of spot the difference.

Chinami laughs, "Remember when we used to do that?" Namiko nods as they turn back to Rose smiling.

She notices Namiko has a wide bright smile while Chinami doesn't smile, not exactly it's more of toothy smirk emphasising his bad boy vibe while Namiko has that innocent smile and cute face slightly chubbier than his twin brother.

She points out the difference and they hi-five her offering her a techno bug they've been working on.

"This baby can shut down computers within 10-mile radius absorbing the electricity and stuff, but you can only use it when you're in trouble. It's designed for one time use so no one knows where you are, but we will know and Tiyo of course."

Namiko points at Tiyo casually slurping on a coconut while Rex and Saito beat the ever-loving crap out of each other Kai is out for a swim with Medley who asked for swimming lessons she legit cannot swim.

"You know, when I was fighting that Exorcist lady the way she moved with the water was truly amazing." He stands on the water and takes Medleys hand. "If you trust me you won't fall back in."

She smirks, "I'm offended you think I don't." She stands next to him and he shows her one move he copied from her that really knocked the wind right out of him.

"It's so fucking hard I can visualise it, but I can't do it."

Tiyo walks on the water surprising Kai. "It's really easy you know, if you want to learn I'll teach you and maybe you'll stop relying on brute force and start understanding that the water you generate is more than just that."

Tiyo hits Kai with a side whip kick and lightning strikes down hitting Kai after he was brought down by the initial attack. "You are more powerful than you think I'll teach you control. First lesson of the day tomorrow is waking up and showing up."

Kai stands up he expected that to hurt more. "Well, that sure as hell was a very inspiring motivation." Kai follows Tiyo who stops the fight between Saito and Rex holding the spear to their throats.

"Now, shall we join the others I believe we still need to eat something."

Kai's stomach growls at the thought of food. "Akali, can you find Rogue and ask for something to eat we're starving."

Akali stands up walking to the kitchen and staring at the chef, "Can we get something to eat please we didn't eat anything unless you're cool with us making the food ourselves. Will you bring it to us? We can wait in there."

Rogue walks into the room and looks at Akali by the door chatting up a storm with the chef writing down recipes. "You shouldn't be in here."

She turns to Rogue, "We also shouldn't be starving, but well you know things don't always go according to plan," She turns to the chef, "Is that black pepper or I can sub in anything I like."

"Oh, it has to be black pepper specifically sweetheart, you'll thank me for it."

She smiles turning to Rogue before turning away calling everyone in. They sit in the lounge she hands the recipe over to her classmate she'd be caught dead in a kitchen the restaurant at the Edu centre painted that image very vividly.

"You're so the coolest Kali."

They enjoy their food in their small groups Rogue sighs he meant she shouldn't be in here because the Exorcists are around searching for the phoenix flower on the island he doesn't want any of them bumping into any Exorcists, but the odds are highly unlikely if they behave for once.

"He's staring at you." Sin whispers in Akali's ear she instinctively turns to Rogue who looks away walking off in another direction.

"Probably revenge, I stared first."

"Oh, that's a thing?"

"Only in her crazy head don't make it a habit to take what she says seriously she has a problem as far as I'm concerned."

Akali elbows Chinami, "Geez No Chest I was just being honest."

"Your honesty is not appreciated."

Sin laughs at how care free they are Tiyo is lecturing Kai about water bending that's the term Tiyo uses because that's basically what it is.

"A bender doesn't only bend the element he bends his body think about which martial artist style you're comfortable with it'll make things easier."

"Yes Sensei." They both laugh at how ridiculous they sound.

Ken and Yuno look at each other the elephant in the room finally settling in now that they are alone.

"Uhm, are you spending the night?"

Ken shakes his head, "I can't Ackerman is back at work and you know how he is. I'll call you I guess." Ken bites his lower lip with his hands in his pockets. "You know you're the one making this awkward."

Yuno just looks away. "Well, we're still not together until further notice."

Ken's mouth parts in disbelief, "We never broke up."

"Yes, we did."

"I don't know what has you so delirious right now, but I'll call you later make sure Xavier goes to school and," He pecks her cheek, "I love you."
