6 years later...
Today is the 6th Death Anniversary of Khein's greatest love. A lot of things happened for the past six years. He became stronger and braver, he became more approachable and friendly.
"Hey Dude! Over here!" Center shouted from the crowd, Ethan's fans. Ethan became a successful talent idol, Center on the other hand supported him all the way. They got married outside the country after graduation, which probably was the happiest day of Center's life. Music connected the two of them, but Center wanted to watch Ethan performs on the stage than playing beside him. He knew that music was originally for Ethan. Khein smiled and went to the crowd, he stood beside Center.
"Everybody, this concert is a tribute for a friend of mine whom I known six years ago. He was cheerful and kind. We miss him and we will always cherish him" Ethan spoke with a sincere, angelic voice. Khein smiled genuinely as Center grinned at him.
"You should sing along with the crowd. Ethan composed this song only for you and Rei." Center smiled and yanked Khein by the neck. As Ethan began to play the song, Khein's tear escaped from his left eye. He remembered the times when Rei was still beside him. It still hurts, but he managed to endure. With Ethan, Center, his mom and his friends staying by his side, he continued to live. In the middle of the crowd, a pair of arms hugged Khein from the back.
"Hey!" Rain greeted, smiling. Khein elbowed him and frowned.
"Why are you glaring at me?!" Rain yelled and acted hurt while holding his chest.
The three of them enjoyed the rest of the concert and had a house party afterwards.
"Eeth, what do you want for tommorrow's breakfast? I will cook for you" Center whispered on Ethan's ear, drunk. Ethan sneered, he bet Center would end up wasting the ingredients in the kitchen.
"Anything is fine, as long as it's not poisonous" Ethan chuckled, Center pouted.
Rain looked at Khein who seemed gloomy and asked, "Are you okay?"
Khein turned his head to see Rain's concerned face. Khein's phone rang suddenly, he nodded at Rain saying he is fine and said, "I'll just answer this call"
He went outside to answer the phone call, it was his mom.
"Honey, the school called today. Are you coming home tonight?" his mom spoke on the other line. Khein smiled to the ground and sighed.
"Yes yes, I'm coming home" he ended the call and went back inside. Among the three of them, Khein was still studying Medicine and planned to serve in a Hospice after he finished studying.
"Oh! Our future Doctor is back, come come have a shot!" Center smiled and offered the shot glass to Khein. As of now, they are currently living their lives to the fullest. Giving everything they have to someone they love. As for Khein, his heart was not yet fully recovered but he is happy.
"Let's talk about the old days" Ethan said, he's already drunk.
"Let's begin with Khein!" Center added. For others, it would not be healthy for Khein to recall everything that happened, but he was brave. And so, he wanted to remember again. Not because he wanted to cry or get hurt again. But he wanted to tell his friends how grateful he was when he met Rei. He took a glass, drank it and started with, "Remember those memories? When we were 16?"
Ethan and Center smiled, unable to find the right words to response.
"That was the highlight of my life, because I met Rei, my first love"
They began to unburry the old times' sceneries. Let thy memories be restored in their hearts forever.
End.
