A Godslayer in a School c56

March 18

Everyone sat down around a table. The table style was similar to the one found in the meeting rooms. It was long and thin—meant for groups to sit face to face.

Kaori Orimoto, the girl who 'tried' to get along with everyone at the expense of Hachiman. She was trying to sit and pretend nothing had happened, as it was the only way for her to cope with this.

If she runs away, it will damage her image. Her eyes went to the person sitting in front of her. Hikigaya Hachiman was sitting in front of her!

'This is brutal. How did it end up like this!?' The girl frowned. She looked away. She was wondering if he was serious with his words back then.

It's not that she did or said something which made him act like that.

Then, the next moment, she tried to look at Hachiman again. She was confused for a second as that big-breasted girl with short pink hair looked at her like she was the biggest criminal on Earth!

On top of that, she then hugged Hachiman's hand as she was sitting next to him!

'W-What is with those breasts! They deform like that! T-They are huge!' Kaori complained to herself as she looked down at her assets, which were still barely noticeable!

As the short brown-haired girl was comparing her non-existing assets with Yui's, the short pink-haired girl hugging Hikigaya's hand had her confidence boosted by Raynor, who was flexing his 'authority'. For a Godslayer, mental state is important as it impacts more than just how he acts. It was so potent that it could bend luck and affect reality itself.

So it's easy for him to impact hormonal teens lacking that confidence.

Not that Raynor grasped yet those small passive buffs he gives to everyone around him.

"Let's begin, shall we? What kind of ideas do you guys have?" Raynor asked as his elbows were on the table, his fingers intertwined, covering his mouth. He looked like a CEO listening to proposals given to him by one of the development departments.

"..."

"Well, we were thinking—"

Then it started. Raynor quickly lost track of what was going on. The group at first spoke to him about a concert and a Christmas market.

But it turned into a debate among themselves.

Midway, the Godslayer noticed that they were using 'fancy' English. His Godslayer physique didn't translate for him as it was already language he understood. So he felt that cringe when the Japanese were speaking English.

"These guys are useless," Erica whispered beside him. She even did that in Italian.

It was like a slap from a wet fish to his face. It was disgusting to hear that English.

"Enough…"

"!!!"

They all stopped talking and looked at him. For a second, they looked like he was a completely different person!

'Did his eyes just glow?'

The teens sitting before Raynor felt like a chill passed through them.

"It is evident to me that the only thing you guys can contribute is ideas, as you all have no plan to speak of." The Storm King started to speak.

His words were like smacks from a sledgehammer to the gut.

"On top of that, English doesn't make you smart. I speak several languages fluently." Raynor said that with a matter-of-fact voice, which made his girls look at him with an eye roll. He doesn't speak; his power allows him to do that!

However, his words made the student from Kaihin blush from embarrassment. They thought it was cool! But, when he pointed it out like that—made it embarrassing?

"We shall do what you guys suggested because we were planning the same thing," The Storm King went right to the point.

"There shall be a concert and Christmas market."

'T-This guy! We are the ones who decided this first!'

The guys opposite Raynor started to complain internally.

"Since this is a two-school event, we shall split into two camps. One side of the market will be Sobu High, and the other will be Kaihin."

"The concert ones will switch in between. We will keep track of how the schools perform." Raynor said this lazily. He is preparing to unleash Ai for the last part of the event. To use her like a hammer to deliver the last nail to the coffin.

It's nothing personal.

Not really.

He is not pissed at these dorks.

Not at all!

"Are you turning this into competition!?"

"It will become one either way. Two camps are working on something. So, we might as well turn it into a friendly competition. It will improve the quality of the concert and the market." The Storm King casually explained himself as he leaned into the chair.

Erica, for a second, grinned when she heard that. Since she is part of this mundane affair, she might as well make it a good Christmas event! From where she comes from, Christmas is a big celebration.

"Fine! We accept!" The glasses guy stood up. He got enough.

Raynor simply rolled his eyes. The guy was pretending to be Shonen Mc now.

"Good. Then we shall keep in contact."

After saying that, the groups proceeded to leave. Kaori looked at the leaving Sobu group. She was feeling shit for some reason.

It was strange. It's not that this was anything big, but she was feeling dirty like someone dragged her through the dirt and left her in the sun.

~~~
"Umm…Yuigahama-san– how long are you going to hold my arm?" Hikigaya Hachiman finally couldn't take it and asked the girl, still holding his arm!
"O-Oh, sorry. I was feeling that girl will try something to you. So I needed to d-defend you." Yui finally released his hand. She tried to explain her reasoning. The most obvious is that she doesn't want Hikigaya to get interested in that annoying girl!
"Uh–huh…" The fish-eyed teen didn't believe her that easily. Kaori has turned him into a cynical guy.
"I-I am serious! S-She was making fun of you!"
"That's just how she is. She is like a bull in a porcelain store. Clueless to everyone and acts friendly to all the people." Hikigaya said with a frown. There is an underlying feeling of annoyance in his voice. He was still annoyed by how she responded to him all those months ago.
"Well! It doesn't matter! She is attending a different school now!"
Yui tried to make him see the good things. Which, in a way, worked.
"Hnn… I guess. One of the reasons why I went to Sobu in the first place."
Hikigaya didn't tell her that he tried extra hard and studied his butt off to enter the school.
As the pair talked, the rest of the classmates of Hikigaya, like Ebina and Miura, looked at Yui with strange looks. Is Yuihama bold for some reason?
'Is it just me, or somehow she is less embarrassed with her actions?'
The Queen Bee ignored most of the meeting. She spent most of her time surfing the web and looking at social pages for anything interesting.
The only reason why she was even here was because of Raynor.
But now her attention was on Yui, who was acting weird.
"To think that she has this much courage." The glasses girl said with a curious tone.
"Yeah…"
Yumiko looked at Raynor. Her eyes see more than ordinary people see. She did see him from time to time release bursts of his mana.
'Was it that? Can we do something like that? Effect emotional states? It is, after all, godly power.'
The blonde pondered on this as they walked back to the railway station.
~~~

After the meeting, there were a few quiet days. Raynor needed it as he finally generated enough housecarls to man the longboat.

As he was preparing for the trip, the girls noticed his giddiness.

"Where are you going?" Erica asked as she sneaked behind him.

"To take a trip."

"Without us? Me? I am your knight. I should be on the front lines." The blonde started to pout at him.

"That's right! I am your knight, too!" Liliana popped out of nowhere next to Erica.

"And I am a Hime-miko. With a Divine Sword. I can fight, too." Ena appeared on Erica's other side, too.

Sigh

"Fine. Just don't do reckless things. That's my job. I have no clue how these powers work beyond a certain point." Raynor agreed as he rubbed the back of his head with a small, frustrated look.

"Understood. You can leave the small fries to us!" Erica smirked while saying that.

"Good. Now, let's go."

With a nod, the group of four left the house.

Yukino, reading a book in peace, realised that something was odd. It was far too quiet!

"...Where is everyone!?"

All she found was Yumiko watching TV with a tiger on her lap.

"...Hmm? They went to the shop."

"...oh…"

The girl slowly nodded, but something was odd, still! Raynor never takes all of his 'fighters' when they go somewhere.

Regardless, she returned to read her book while the peace lasted.

~~~
The group of four were high in the air as Raynor proceeded to teach them how to fly fast while utilising his aura.
"Since you have experience manipulating magic, let me teach you how to fly fast.
First call for my blessing. Ensure it encases you fully, and then let that energy guide you towards your destination. It's nothing special.
Treat it like a layer or a cushion which pushes you away."
"That sounds like Lili's flying ability," Erica said as she pondered on Raynor's words while thinking how similar this was to the witch's ability to fly.
The entire group could easily ignore the high winds so high in the air.
"Like this?" A thick sky-blue aura surrounded Liliana as she showed her skill.
"Yes, instruct the other two." Raynor nodded as he looked bow; the white-haired witch of his will do it.
"...as my Lord wishes." The girl was slightly reluctant to teach her method to Erica, but eventually, she relented. It was not like she couldn't fly with Raynor's blessing. The ability to fly became a basic skill in this group.
So, she started to explain the basics. With Raynor's reserves, the girls could efficiently perform the whole layer of mana around them without difficulty. The only downside is that they don't have perfect control yet. Well, Ena could, as she is Hime-miko. Energy manipulation is their speciality.
But then again, Erica is an excellent overall knight. She is a genius at alchemy, which requires good mana manipulation.
'Then again, I had never seen her fight before properly. I hope we get some scrubs to fight on this trip.'
Raynor pondered for a bit as Liliana instructed the pair. He is wondering where they should go.
'I suppose I would want to kidnap a princess. Role-play as a Viking.'
For a second, he imagined a princess with silver hair and blue eyes. Or a blond? It's one of those stereotypes.
Most of the time, 'princess' is associated with a medieval setting—an isekai. Maybe he could get some weird magic abilities from raiding a dungeon. Who knows. Always fighting with authorities is overkill. It either doesn't work, or the guy gets incinerated or drowned, In Poseidon's authority case.
Well, Sigurd's sword gave him some middle ground with its power.
But that thing is still Dragonslayer, which allows to kill dragons with ease.
"We are ready!" Erica said with a pumped-up look. She got Lily's skill, and now they will be raiding another reality! It's as cool as it gets!
"Great. Then follow me."
Raynor ignited his aura and blasted away at absurd speed.
The remaining girls looked at each other with questioning looks. What is with that speed!?
"Can we do that?"
"Let's try it out!"
"... Alright."
The trio tried the same method. It turns out they can fly at similar speeds!
With their connection, they were able to find the general location.
What they found blew their mind away! It was a legitimate Viking village!
