chapter 7: : "Half a Year Till UA Tryouts"

Early mourning, the sounds of clashing could be heard in the back yard of the Kagirinai household. two figures holding wooden staves in a desperate dual the fight reaching an intensity that no ordinary person could follow one an older gentle men and the other a tall youth.

Clash! and at that moment the youth directs a decisive strike at the older gentlemen "ha you think that could take me down brat you'll have to try a bit harder" a small grin crept on his face as he said this the older gentlemen wearing black cargo pants and a white over shirt.

As he spoke those words, he swiftly maneuvered, evading every oncoming strike. He expertly dodged each blow, slipping past them to his right shoulder and beneath his left arm. and After another relentless barrage of attacks directed at his chest and face, the assailant finally relented.

With the onslaught ended and the attacker momentarily paused, the older man seized the opportunity to land a couple of well-placed blows. However, the assailant proved equally agile, swiftly dodging and skillfully evading each strike.

In that tense moment, the staff came to a halt at the older gentleman's neck, and a wry smile played on his lips. "Ha ha, well, you've certainly grown, there's no doubt about it."

"great job Henka you did well after these 5 years of training i don't have anything else to teach you you did great while if you need my or have any favors you can get your old man to give me a call"

"Thank you, Sensei, or should I say Iwao?" I couldn't help but chuckle a little when a vein appeared on his forehead. "Don't push yourself, you brat. I'll have to get going anyway; it's getting late. You should get yourself cleaned up and tell your father I had to head off."

After that, he made his way through the gate and then stepped into his vehicle, speeding off.

After making my way inside the house, I took my shirt off and headed to the shower. After all these years, I've made it quite a long way, I think, I mused to myself as I twisted the knob of the shower, switching on the cold water out of habit. I jumped in after undressing, revealing a chiseled and toned body—unrealistic, but strangely fitting. My status has seen a significant increase, and I'm thrilled that this year will be over soon so I can get into UA.

I can't help but reminisce about the many painful experiences I had to endure to become this strong, I thought to myself. Even then, it was all worth it. I remembered the moments when I asked my father for powerful chemicals, substances so potent that not even Quirk-powered individuals specialized in poisons and corrosives still couldn't handle. My father was wary at first, but I talked to him and convinced him it was okay. However, he insisted on accompanying me during the process.

I couldn't help but remember the look on his face when I started drinking those substances. He was on the verge of having a heart attack, ready to call poison control. But I stood there calmly, as if nothing was happening. My poison resistance, regeneration, and pain resistance worked in tandem, though there was still a good deal of pain to endure. I had to keep it together to make sure my family didn't worry too much.

After that, my father encouraged me to keep it up and encouraged me on my goal to join UA and also use my Quirk to it fullest, though he urged me to be careful, I reflected. But we all know I'll disregard that advice for now. I chuckled to myself.

After that, I made sure to ensure that my family knew about my quirk's abilities, just in case they saw me conducting an experiment and thought I was being reckless or even commitng suicidal. Phew, I can't imagine what would have happened if that had taken place.

My other experiments, including drinking just about anything in my father's shed—pesticide, diesel, and gas—led to some great skill levels. No new skills, sadly, I thought. After a year, my father finally found a good instructor for me. He had to call in some favors, though the gentleman said no use of Quirks because he didn't have one. Imagine my shock when I saw Knuckleduster, one of the three main protagonists in the vigilante spin-off. He went by Iwao, but I had to call him 'instructor or sensai.' I really loved his character in that spin-off, and I trusted him and his strong sense of justice so I did tell him about my Quirk and some of it's uses.

After telling him he asked me a couple of questions and immediately , he warned me so I didn't show my quirks off too explosively. Villains may target me, he warned. "And he made me realize the small weakness, the very negligible weakness that I had chosen to ignore: the small amount of time it takes to adapt. Depending on how extreme the stimuli are, adapting could take even a minute or two that I had to acknowledge though in all instances dying before I could adapt wouldn't happen often so let's hope that dosen't happen..

After the quick shower and heading to my room, I made sure to close my door. I started listing the next major things I need to get done before the UA tryouts start next year in February. Right now, there's not much time left until the year is over, and the UA tryouts start in September. its February now so I'll be able to do some crazy things and gain some amazing abilities in the meanwhile.
