Ruth

Romance. Love. Relationship.

A typical story about opposite souls who encounter one another in an unforeseen minute at an unexpected place and period.

If those two have this unexplainable twinkling spark and a deep connection, then it is most likely they are meant to be perfect soulmates, or perhaps a wonderful couple in the fullness of time.

Growing up, I always listen to my late papa's stories on how he and my stunning mama met, and burningly fell in love.

I will not forget the great tale when both of them were the leaders of their respective stations.

My mama was once a supervisor, whilst my papa was an assigned agency manager of one of the largest groups of companies in Marshal Reyes City where I was born and raised.

There were clashing of reports, cruel criticisms and arguments, deadly stares which may kill an innocent man, and an inevitable competition betwixt them.

Brutal utterances were running out of their sharp tongues, and insults were the swords of the raging battle to no end.

A year passed by, my father came to realize he admired and began to love my strong, independent mother as he saw her passion to strive hard on her job in order to provide the needs of her small family before herself.

He believed he was lucky enough to behold a shining diamond that was fully covered below the surface of the earth right before his hazelnut eyes similar to mine.

Thus, my papa wooed her; but she straight up rejected him. But it didn't take long as my mama became aware of her own feelings towards him. And that, she likes him a lot.

To make it short, they got married and had me. Their one and only gorgeous daughter by the name of Ruth Lim.

You may be wondering why I'm sharing the affectionate past of my dear parents to you.

It probably has a huge influence in my daily living as a sixteen-year-old teenage girl who basically breathes oxygen and exhales carbon dioxide to save the dying planet.

Because of their faithful love affair, my parents mold me into a romantic freak. Yes, you saw it right.

I am a sucker for romance. Take note of that.

I've been collecting and reading CDs, mangas, manhwa, novels, novellas, and other reading materials that have a romantic plot and subplot on them for a half year of my existence as a human.

I have love team posters settled on the dirty white walls; and I share online posts of my fandoms, ships, and fictional sweethearts who I really adore.

The three bookshelves located at my mini bedroom are nearly packed that I cannot fit in the latest fiction book I bought at the bookstore not long ago.

Regardless of it, I maybe keep the novel on my dark blue school bag as of the moment, and have a good read to it at the classroom where the section of Yeats stays in and learns some lessons and topics pertaining to academics.

And to this day, I am badly whimpering as a crybaby in the midst of a silent hour.

Tears were streaming down on my delicate face. Bony shoulders were horribly quivering to my despair.

These candle-like fingers of mine were shaking it may have a chance that I will lose the grip of my cellular phone which will almost slip and fall down onto the ground.

I cannot take another step anymore; my slender legs turn out to be noodles.

I never felt this bad in front of my fellow schoolmates and batchmates. Odd stares are daggering in my direction as if I am an unwanted criminal. However, I do care less.

Plodding in the school hallway of Javier High, I once again think about the outstanding movie I've viewed last night. The core memory of the death scene hits me still. It stings me.

Sniffing, I oppress myself from the film as it was too good not to ignore it. Dang you, recollection of thoughts. "Why would y-you take away your life, Sam. You di-didn't know that Gabi stayed with you for too long... and fell for you."

Focusing on my phone screen, I bumped into a solid rock body of a creature and tumbled down the tough floor.

What the hell? Doesn't he watch where he is going? Am I that petite to the extent of not seeing an existing being who has a small stature as I do?

I squinted my tumescent eyes as it was a very bright afternoon; the gigantic figures were merely against the luminous rays.

Thereupon my sight had adjusted its focus, I soundlessly gawked at them in awe.

Who are they?

Hello human!

This is a first for me in writing an online novel so please bear with my flaws.

Moreover, I am open to any criticism as long as it does not personally assail me. This story may or may not lead up to your expectations, but I hope you will somehow give a bit of support. See you until the end! xoxo
