52: Last Mission

[Are you going to help us?] - asked Amami seriously.

"I think we should do it, if those things are as dangerous as you say, then not only you are in danger, but also us" - muttered Yuriko with a frown - "If we just leave them like that, there might be more of those things, and we don't know if they'll be able to pass through the river..."

[It's good to hear that you'll help us, I'll be looking forward to it] - Amami said before cutting the call.

"Our subordinates won't enjoy this news" - muttered Saya with a frown.

"That's why we will give them a choice, if they wish to accompany us then they will come, after all, we can't force them to keep putting their lives in danger" - replied Yuriko calmly.

"Sounds like the best plan we have" - muttered Cloud while frowning, after all, he knew that the world wasn't going to make it that easy for him, although he didn't think that things like the zombie protagonists of [Metal Slug] would come out.

Two days had passed since Amami had reported the situation, time in which Yuriko and Cloud had made it clear, which had ended as they had estimated, in other words, a clear refusal to help the army, although after a few words from Yuriko, the survivors understood the danger they were in, that's why a small group decided to follow Yuriko to make sure nothing got out of control.

Yuriko smiled slightly at how her late husband's subordinates were still following her, though she quickly shook her head, after all, there was no time for sentimentality.

After a few hours of preparation, Cloud's group was ready to start the latest mission.

Early in the morning, the group was advancing across the bridge after saying goodbye to the guards, only to find chaos, blood and decaying corpses on the ground everywhere.

"I don't know, but we now have a bigger problem on our hands than we thought" - Yuriko said as she ordered the vehicles to move forward. Cloud said nothing about it, he simply looked at the rest of the group, which was Saeko, Yuriko, Rika and Shizuka, though the latter was a reluctant decision. Cloud didn't want her to join the battle, though the nurse left many valid points on the table, such as the lack of medical team in their select group.

Rika also thought it was a bad idea for her best friend to join, though after discussing it, she too was struck dumb by surprise, after all, every argument she used, Shizuka used a stronger one to counter it, which caused the ace of the sniper corps to simply raise her hands in surrender.

"Wait, there are signs of life nearby" - Rika said as she used her assault rifle, so she could check the surroundings - "This isn't good news though"

"Why?" - Yuriko asked with a frown.

"There are signs that show they are cannibals" - replied Rika as she saw some corpses hanging from some windows - "Look at 2 o'clock."

Yuriko grabbed some binoculars, only to frown as she saw the evidence the soldier woman was pointing out to her - "Great, those sons of bitches..."

"Let's call the general to meet as soon as possible, we don't need to deal with those bastards, they can die at the hands of the army" - Cloud said neutrally, honestly, he couldn't care less about the situation of the people in this area, and this had nothing to do with being cold or a bad person, but rather because fighting against these deranged, would only get his soldiers hurt, or even worse, killed. The cannibals were so fucked up in the head that they didn't even mind getting hurt if it entailed taking their enemies with them.

Yuriko nodded before contacting Amami.

"O-Ok..." - murmured the woman as she began to sob. It had been a week since she and her sister had come to the place because they had heard it was a safe place, only to discover that the paradise they had been looking for, was nothing more than a fantasy to hide the hell the women had to go through. They were treated like all kinds of slaves, from servants, to pleasure companions, and if they refused, they were beaten until they accepted their fate.

"I hope you do a good job, or I swear I'm going to make a group of 10 men have a good time with you and your sister" - said the obese man as a dark smile appeared on his face. His name was Ichiro Shido, the father of Koichi Shido, a corrupt politician who enjoyed playing with women and seeing the suffering of those who opposed him, that's why he was excited after taking control of this group - "Remember, each of you bitches only serve to please me and my underlings... Is that clear?"

"Y-Yes" - the woman replied as she prepared to give a blowjob to the disgusting man in front of her, though her expression changed when she heard the door open.

The woman ducked her head as she felt the warm tears pool in her eyes.

Ken simply frowned because this was the best woman in the group, and it was a waste for someone like if boss to break her.

"You can have her when I get bored" - Ichiro said with a frown - "And looking at the past, I would think she will amuse me for a week or two before she is broken, there you can do what you want with her."

"I thank you" - Ken replied as he bowed his head. That this woman was broken was not a problem for him, in fact, this was much more exciting because now he could be much harder on her.

The woman looked down as she began to sob, not knowing that soon everything was going to take a 180° turn, because the people approaching were not exactly part of the army.
