A/N: Surprise!
After that it was just pointless chat with sometimes Gudako asking Tell or Kagetora to share some of their experiences.
"Director can I ask a question? What happened here? The fuyuki in our records and this one is just too different. What are your thoughts?" Mash said.
"History must've been disrupted, that's the only thing I can think off. " Olga answered after thinking for awhile.
"Mash, Gudako, Claude, listen well this is the first and last time I'm going to say this. Chaldea observes the future through an earth model called chaldeas. At the same time a familiar called Laplace compiles past records."
"Laplace job is to gather data on history that wasn't told to the public and information that no one knows."
"According to laplace an unusual holy grail war took pace here in 2004." Olga finished explaining, earning a surprised look from Mash after the hearing the last part.
"Holy grail war? You mean the holy grail from the legend that is the root of magecraft and can grant it's holder's wishes?"
"Yes, mages in fuyuki city competed for the grail and in order to activate it summoned 7 servants."
"The fuyuki holy grail war system is simple. Seven masters fight each other, the last one standing gets the grail."
"Chaldea learned this in 2010, the previous director used this data to build the summoning system in chaldea."
"That's what make's up Chaldea Heroic Spirit Summoning system, Fate. Our third invention after chaldeas and laplace.
"Third? Wasn't that the near observation lens shiva?" Mash asked.
"That was created by professor Lev, well you can say we both worked on it." Olga proudly smiled.
"Anyway, when the seven servants fought here, saber won. The town wasn't destroyed and the servants shouldn't be noticed by anyone but..."
"But this is what makes this place a singularity, this town was destroyed." I said.
"Correct."
"This anomaly altered to human history and as a result, we can no longer see 100 years into the future. That's why it's our job to repair this anomaly, some here is the reason history has been disturbed."
"Once we analyze it and eliminate it, our mission will be a success and we can return to the present."
"Oh? But didn't you say that we'll only explore this singularity? Why did it changed to fixing?" I teased.
"Of course not now! We'll return to the present after exploring this singularity followed by me fixing chaldea and sending other masters."
"I'm happy that our mission is easy but I can't help but notice we haven't seen any enemies after walking from the leyline. Don't get me wrong, I like the fact that were not putting ourselves in danger but I haven't seen an enemy once." Mash said.
"Don't worry I've just been erasing them before they could get close." I explained.
"Erasing them? Like how you turned those skeletons to dust?" Gudako asked.
"Yup."
"No wonder I couldn't see any skeletons, you've been taking care of them. Not like I hate it." Tell said.
We continued to explore fuyuki by first going to a location where Olga said was a church that was in the records of chaldea.
On the way there Romani asked us to take a break just in time for skeletons to appear, I told Gudako to let Mash handle them to gain experience.
Mash agreed to and just to assure her, I told the pink haired girl that I'll watch her back.
"Master I've been thinking but what exactly is Mash? I could sense that she's a heroic spirit but also not." Kagetora asked.
"Mash is a demi-servant, a fusion between a human and a servant. When the command room in chaldea blew up, I guess the heroic spirit that was summoned there had no choice but to fuse with her." I answered.
"But what would her class be I wonder? I've never seen someone use only a shield."
"I don't know I guess you could call her a shielder?" I spoke.
Mash finished fighting the skeletons and went back to us.
"Nice job Mash!" Gudako said.
"See? I said it would be fine." I said.
"Ah we-well thank you." A light red hue appeared on Mash's face.
"Mash now that I think about it can you use your noble phantasm?" Olga asked.
