7th Path - Invitation

"HAH! HAH! HAH! Damn, I almost died" Mukuro said as he used a wall of the building next to him as support or lest he fall.

He had almost died because he was exhausted. The only reason for his escape was the fact that Akua didn't expect him to kiss her. Using her panic and fluster to his advantage, he dashed out with unbelievable speed trying to mask his Aura. Only after ten minutes of sprinting with his Human Path enhanced speed did he stop.

He was out of energy. He had used the Asura Path then to the Human Path back to back. Some might wonder why he didn't just go to the Human Path instantly instead of the Asura Path, and the answer to that was he couldn't.

Akua's fist sneak attack was fast, the only reason he dodged it was because he felt the hair on the back of his neck stand up. The Asura Path was faster to activate than the Human Path hence he used it first.

After all, in order for him to activate the Human Path was to stab his eye, which he didn't have the time nor luxury to do in that exact situation.

Not to mention both took a lot out of him to activate. It was like Super Saiyan Blue from Dragon Ball Super where it took more energy for Goku and Vageta to activate than when they actually used it. The same could be said with both Paths, not to mention his body was not that strong yet. Don't get him wrong, he was strong, stronger than humans AND monsters. Hell he fought on par with an S-class monster moments ago.

But he knew his body wasn't at full power. Despite the scientists telling him he had no illnesses and that his body was healthy, there was an uncomfortable feeling telling him he was not ACTUALLY at full health. It was to be expected as he only got the body for 3 and a half months and the fact that his body was experimented on.

Though something tells him that once his body healed from whatever was limiting him, that he would TRULY be powerful. All he needed was time, it was like his body was adapting to something.

"Well, what do we have here?"

Mukuro heard from behind him as he was catching his breath. He turned around quickly to be faced to faced with a priest that had glowing white eyes.

Though something told him it wasn't an ordinary priest. When he gazed at the man with his Ultimate eye he saw no flaws from the man.

'What is it with my luck tonight?' He questioned himself. First it was Akua now this priest. He could tell the man was not human, when he looked at the man's eyes he instantly knew. The look on the man's seemingly glowing eye gave out pressure similar to that of what he felt from Akua.

The priest in front of him was an S-class monster or at least had the strength of one.

He was fucked. He was dead ass tired and now another S-class shows himself to him.

"Relax boy or should I call you 'Mukuro' instead? I was the person who hired you to kill the butcher" The priest said.

"What?!" Mukuro said getting angered.

"At ease, I didn't know that the Shuzen families' oldest daughter was hired for the same job as well. After all the monster was only ranked at a B-class" The priest spoke. "So for that I apologize"

"Alright then" Mukuro said but he was still on guard.

"So what do you want? Seeing as you are still here and not leaving" He asked.

The priest smiled as he brought out papers. "I want you to join my school" He said.

"What?" Mukuro said confused as the priest handed him some papers. Taking it he read it before looking back at the mysterious priest.

"Youkai...Academy? A school for monsters?" Mukuro asked.

"Well 'Mukuro' or better yet '#203'-" The man said before he was interrupted with the sound of Mukuro jumping back to create some distance.

"How do you know that name?" Mukuro said coldly as the priest put up both his hands.

"At ease, I was informed of such a project. I was actually going to interfere but I was too late and before I knew it the place was destroyed. All the kids were dead, apart from you" The priest said.

"Let me introduce myself, I am Tenmei Mikogami. HeadMaster of Youkai Academy" The man now named Tenmei Mikogami said.

"...one of the three dark lords" Mukuro said as he relaxed slightly, he had heard of them before. Although the three dark lords were at the top in terms of power within the S-class monsters, they didn't indiscriminately kill.

"As I was saying, I wanted to stop Project Zero as they wanted to create a high human. Why I wanted to stop that was because I along with my friend Touhou Fuhai could be said to be responsible for the idea of it." He said with a sigh.

"You see, the leader was an alchemist who heard about rumors of the Human Modification Technique developed by my friend Touhou Fuhai with a bit of help from me." Mikogami explained "After hearing about those rumors he had come across old records of about something similarly done in the past from other alchemists of old through the use of experimentations and a Philosopher's stone"

"The man then found a shard of a previously existing Philosopher's stone, although it was a shard it still had immense power. He then used children to try and fuse the shard of the Philosopher's stone to make a genetically enhanced high human. After all even if the tests failed and the kids died, their sacrifice could still be used to reform a new stone" He sighed. "It was basically a win-win scenario for him"

"You are a result of a human fused with a shard of the Philosopher's stone, though something happened that somehow made the shard grow in power. The sacrifices of the lives of all the other children somehow strengthened the shard within you giving you a pseudo-Philosopher's stone " Tenmei said finishing his explanation.

Mukuro only stood there with widened eyes as he was in shock. He had a near complete Philosopher's stone? The stone that gives the illusion that someone is able to override the law of equivalent exchange. He had a near complete one?

If he were to complete it... wouldn't his illusions actually become real. The original Mukuro could bring illusions to reality and effect the real world but his illusions eventually stopped if he didn't maintain it. So while they were 'real illusions' they weren't truly real.

But if he completed the stone, wouldn't his illusions become real? They would actually exist in the real world therefore he didn't need to spend energy to maintain them.

'Well, this night has been full of surprises' Mukuro thought to himself as he felt his excitement rise. Calming himself, he looked back to the Dark Lord.

"Tell me more about the stone and your theories on it. If you do, I might as well join your Academy" Mukuro said.

"Great. You were about fourteen years old when they kidnapped you and you turned fifteen last month at the sixth day. You will be starting off as a freshman in Youkai Academy" Mikogami said nodding to himself.

"I have notes on my theories of the stone in my office at the school, I will give it to you when you arrive at school. You will be starting next week as it's the start of the new school year. I will send you your uniform and a location of where you will be picked up at" The dark lord said.

"Now if you excuse me, I will be leaving now" And with that, the dark lord turned around and walked away as Mukuro stared at the man's back.

"Kukuku~"

"I will be soon able to create things out of nothing" He muttered to himself.
